Oh my god Jasilyn and Neraven are the sweetest thing ever, i don’t think any of my mcs would not get them together, i absolutely have to draw them together someday. On that note, @StarlitOpal i have drawn one of your mcs Rhymiah i hope i draw her good enough. Also, all my mcs bio and their arts had been posted on post 3595, i would be honored if you give me your thoughts about them, if you don’t mind of course.
Oh my gosh thank you so much @Le_Uyen!!! I absolutely adore her, she’s beautiful!
I remember and absolutely adore Solana, she’s such a ray of sunshine (pardon the pun). Luna and Dorothy are absolutely adorable, and I will kill Kyrisen for her. Danica is such a badass, and I love how all three of them have different dynamics with Vesperion! I’m sure Ashriel would get along excellently with Olarion. Milena is such a sweetie, and I love Atheron would break down Amaryllis’ walls. Orpheus and Matthias are so cool too!
Thank you so, so much for that lovely picture of Rhymiah! I absolutely love it, and to thank you I have a picture of Solana!
I’m actually WEEPING. Jazz, your art always amazes me! It’s so, so gorgeous and I wish I had your skill. Every time I see a drawing you make my heart always skips a beat because it shows how much you’ve improved! Solana looks so lovely in your drawing. I’m in love.
And yes I agree, she is a ray of sunshine. Maybe even more than that, she’s the entire sun because she’s so brilliant and bright. Le Uyen’s characters are all so amazing.
I might actually cry at this point you guys are so sweet it hurts . I’m so glad you like all my mcs. I never thought i’d see the day someone draw my mc, her bang isn’t exactly correct but other than that she looks absolutely gorgeous your artstyle is so pretty it’s so pleasant to look at. Here’s a soft Solana to thank you
How old is Neraven when he gets married? And how old are Jasilyn and Soliphae and what do they look like? How important will Neraven’s wife be as a character and will the one he doesn’t marry still be a part of the story? What are their opinions of the MC?
Who does send the dagger?
Do we have to choose, or is it possible to be on good terms with both?
oh of course, the mc gets a front row seat while neraven juggles his sense of responsibility, duty, romantic trauma, lovesickness, and constantly remembering all the times he said something stupid in front of jasilyn
neraven: [blushing furiously] “th…there are a lot of people in the ballroom today.”
MC following around Neraven watching him like “this is better than the circus. I just watched him walk into a wall because he was staring at jasilyn too long”
Well, he does seem to be the sibling who that has the least amount of issues with Ysonia, so that part may be in play of why he doesn’t start with as much issues toward the Heir MC. Of course, one can also take a cynical route and possibly believe he is doing it to gain something (according to his bio, he can be charming when he chooses, but he charms more often when he’s got an agenda to achieve). I’m going to lean a little more to a possibly positive neutral reasoning from his end, but that’s just a guess from the bit that is known about him.
But yeah, Vulcan would eventually want to ask the why, though it might not be a right away question. I think that he’d be so stunned by the fact he has a sibling who tries to give him a time of day (a positive one at that) that it’s one of the few times he’d be at his most childlike with one of his siblings (trailing behind Olarion like a little duckling if his older brother was ok with it, sitting next to him quietly reading a book, carving little wood art to give, tugging on Olarion’s sleeve while looking up with curious eyes, etc). Even as a adult, Olarion may be the one sibling who can draw the most openness from Vulcan. Would not always be in Vulcan’s expressions, but his care would be there in his actions.
And upon @Fay’s recommendation, I fought my phone long enough to try making a moodboard for Vulcan. Aspects of his character are still being polished, but it’s what I got so far.
Vulcan Dahlas
(Random Fact: I had originally thought of naming my male heir Leto after one of my DAO Dwarven nobles. But I laugh far too much about the concept of Era being a Zeus who lost his banging instincts, like the comparison of the King to Zeus and it brought up the idea of Hepheastus, which brought up the thought of ‘that name’s kinda a mouthful’, so I went with Vulcan. Leto is now the name my female heir.)
Personality: As a child, Vulcan is often a relatively quiet presence when his home, preferring to blend in the shadows and be left in peace to do the things he loves, though it comes from how exhausting he finds dealing with some of the Dahlas members and those who follow their example (often looks tired as a kid). That said, when left to his own devices to explore, he shines so brightly and openly, eager to run off to discover someone or something new. Though somewhat melancholic, Vulcan harbors a passionate heart and unwavering will that makes him fearless in the face of adversity and willing to stand for those who can’t do so alone. May have more in common with his deceased Uncle Lurian as he gets older.
Likes: Exploring, going to the woods, crafting, sparring, hunting, playing music, and writing stories.
Family Connections:
Has always been close with Ysonia, and the times she spent away didn’t truly lessen the bond. Though he did miss her a bit as a child, he quickly got used to the moments of absence and took it upon himself to learn something new to show her when she came back each time. He does wonder about the rumors of the previous queen’s passing and ends up developing a intends to find the truth about the matter (along with learning the root of the king’s disdain for his third wife).
There’s no love or respect in regards to Eravon; originally only harboring loose indifference toward his father, the man’s actions ended up obliterating any potential interest Vulcan could have developed in taking steps to learn more about him. He would probably not even call Eravon father; would more often stick to referring to him as ‘Your Highness’ or even using the man’s own name. He sees the king as warning of what could become of himself if he lets himself sink too low. If something was to develop more between the two (for better or worse), it would be Eravon’s moves that trigger a response from his 7th heir.
Doesn’t hold much against his half-siblings themselves (except with the concept of them disliking him not because of actual personal reasons but more because they’re merely following Eravon and the rest of Ophaesia’s instant disdain) and is more open to developing something positive with a good number of them. The Maeliahs may have a better standing with him.
Romance: I’m honestly not sure who he would romance. It’s one thing reading the bio of the characters, it’s another interacting with them ingame. Based off their bios, I could see him develop a bond with Kaedra, Jasiphae, Iphorah, Senetha, and Nethica (each for their own reasons). But which bonds merely stay a friendship and which turns romantic is up in the air.
Friendship: In regards to friendships though, I can DEFINITELY see he develop a rather deep one with Atheron (one that possibly makes Vulcan view him as something like a brother-father figure). Maybe Vesperion could be a possible friend as well, but it certainly would not be a friendship that started friendly.
Vesperion: (Insults Vulcan upon meeting him for the first time and makes immediate assumptions due to the accusations associated toward Ysonia)
Vulcan: (Takes a moment to turn to a page in his book before responding) And here I believed I would meet someone with a mind enough to not be a extension of their family’s views. I apologize for expecting too much from you.

What was his father like with Eraven and his siblings?
Here I was thinking you were going to comment about me taking 50 years to even get the post up.
Well, the King did make a strong impression (a good one writing-wise and engaging one player-wise). And when a character makes a impression, the reader will likely come to look closer at the words and actions to get a hint of what’s going on with the character and a feel of their full nature. So the desire to look closer at the character and make guesses are more a testament to how interesting writing has made such thing.
Of course, most the things I’ve put down are based just guesses for the time being. It’ll get fun to see how close or far off I end up being.
I was gonna say, if he slept with her outside some form of wedlock, I think he should have expected multiple crap to hit the fans. Most nobles in stories are very particular out their bloodlines, and may not take it well to for a child born outside of a tied union. And neither Ysonia or Eravon seem the type to do something that careless.
True; I’ll consider at a slight plus on his side that he doesn’t even think to lift his against any of his children (even the Heir). On other hand though, I do think that wounds on the heart and mind can be harder to heal most of the time (especially against a child).
That encounter also made me curious about Aderin his own stance on Seven Heir and what his relationship with is with the King. He didn’t seem to agree with the King’s behavior toward the 7th child and actually seemed to feel sorry for them (then again the priestess who doesn’t like the 7th heir as much as their other siblings tried to do something to make sure they didn’t run into the king again, so I guess even she thought Eravon went too far in that moment).
I don’t even know how to begin imagining what going on; it sounds like he has allies, very few friends and that’s me being generous with that possibility, and enough enemies to want him dealt with in some way.
Will MC be able to call him out on that?
Well, some of us haven’t gotten around to pay that potential assassin yet so-
I mean, not completely. If there’s one person who’d know MC might have the biggest target on them, it’d be the spymaster. And unlike Eravon, he could be taking a more logical route and figure it best to keep the 7th Heir alive just in case something happens to the other siblings.
MC turns the tables and juggles for him instead after he has a bad day and needs some cheering up. Neraven is conflicted on how to respond.
Thanks for recommending the app in the first place, @Fay.
He seems like someone Vulcan would enjoy getting to know and hang around with and Nethica doesn’t seem the type that would judge him for his circumstances. How open either he or Senetha would be about having a relationship with him is another story.
But Calypso will always top Aeson, I can’t lie about that.
