Looks to me that you have a good base to work off of in regards to creating a moodboard for Vladimir. Aside the app use, it seems like it mostly comes down to find the pictures that you feel reflect Vlad the best and arranging them in a way to you think works well.

Think about it this way: you’re writing a snippet about your character by using pictures to show important aspects of them (be it skills, traits, ideals, etc) and possibly using color to give a indication of tone or theme of the character. As for the getting an idea for the pictures themselves, guess that all comes down to considering what the main thing you want to get across about him to others (everyone can use a sword, but what that sword means to the one who wield it often varies) and gather a number of pics to play with them and see which visually fits best with your moodboard.

At least, that my impression; I’m no moodboard expert.

I love that trope too and literary make 3 whole ass mcs to romance Vespi, one of them could be in poly with Vespirion and Sebriel. They all have different personalities so i could see all that sweet rivalmance dynamic :))

Lilith has trouble with befriending others because she’s very caught up in work and spares almost no time to socializing. She only does it when necessary or if she gets something out of it. People like Mathias would definitely get her out of her shell and make her experience new things. Even if he teases her she’d have someone to talk to. I just think… that’s so wholesome.

Ok here’s all my mcs for now, unfotunately the arts might not be as good as you think but hopefully it’s alright. (Fun fact: my mcs all have meaningful names that relate to their ros in some way, it’s probably just me but i that’s really cute. For example, Vesperion means eveningstar so my 3 mcs romancing him is name Solana - sunshine, Luna - moon and Danica - morningstar). I try to break up the paragraphs so it should be easier to read.

Solana

She is an extremely cute, sweet and compassionate person(her name literary means sunshine what did you expect). Solana has very long wavy blonde hair, fair skin and pink-ish purple eyes, has a petite build and stand at 5’3.

She wasn’t timid at first but after Eraven tell her she was a mistake and Ysonia’s frequent absences, not to mention Kyrisen she starts having serious self esteem issues and become very shy and soft spoken.She is kind to everyone but this kindness also often make her hold back her feelings out of consideration for others. She’s very close to Ysonia but still hestitate to talk to her about her problems or feelings because she doesn’t want to bother her mother. Solana is incredibly forgiving and patient but if someone pushed her too far, she will snaps and let them have a piece of her mind.

She’s extremely intelligent and can read people very well, she could also charm the hell out of people and doesn’t even know it, skilled at the harp, writing and riding. She wishes Eraven would accept her one day but will come to realize that she doesn’t need his acceptance to have worth.

Straight. Her main romance is Vesperion because i think Solana empathic nature and cuteness with Vespi tsundere-ness they would make a cute couple.

Luna

A happy-go-lucky, bubbly and playful girl who loves teasing and playing silly pranks on others, especially Vesperion. Luna is a very kind and caring person,always full of puns, jokes and sassy comments to make people laugh. Her constant high energy often come across as childish or annoying to others.

However her humour and cheerfulness is merely a mask for her serious abandonment issues that stemmed from Eraven’s hatred with Ysonia’s and her siblings absences. Her relationship with Kyrisen also plays a big part in her blaming herself for people leaving her. She thinks that everyone would eventually abandon her one day so she suppress a lot of her emotions and if her buttons are pushed she will find a place to hide away and cry.

She’s extremely skilled with the hapsichord and pretty well-read, she’s also good at swordmanship but only use it when neccessary. Luna has long wavy, kinda messy black hair, brown skin and bright blue eyes, very short,stands at 5’1.

Bisexual. She loves Vesperion because despite her frequently pranking and messing with him, he still stays no matter what, even if he’s only there to throw insults at her, she doesn’t mind it much as long as he isn’t going anywhere, in fact she actually find it to be a great opportunity for teasing and flirting.

Danica

A badass girl who doesn’t give a fuck and doesn’t live by society’s rules. Danica is very straight foward, stoic, can smell pretentious bullshit from a mile away and won’t hestitate to go after what she wants. She’s also sarcastic, short-tempered and prideful. Danica values honesty very highly and is blunt to the point of being seen as rude.

Despite this, she’s a good person and will be there in a heartbeat if any of her loved ones need her, she’s also pretty honorable and would never look down on anyone, except Eraven because fuck him. Danica has short straight black hair (she grows it out later on), pale skin and grey eyes, 5’5. She’s intelligent and incredibly skilled at swordmanship and riding, she also has a surprisingly beautiful singing voice.

Bisexual. Danica doesn’t fall in love easily, she has a few one night stands and had dated Kyrisen which is one of the reasons why she’s so cynical. She doesn’t plan on being in a serious relationship again … Then Vesperion just has to go and ruin her plan. Danica and Vesperion have hated each other since childhood 'cause they’re both stubborn and sarcastic as hell but as they grow up, however, the tide seems to change as far as how they feel for one another. Love ? What? Noooo all they have is a fling really to resolve the sexual tension. Just a secret long-term fling where no one falls in love and spends an unusual amount of time having hate sex all over.

Ashriel

An adorkable and cuddly bundle of infectious enthusiasm, Ashriel is an endlessly curious person who has a genuine passion for learning new and strange things and is easily distracted by them. She’s also kind of a klutz and tend to be anxious around new people as she is rather socially awkward and has a distinct lack of ability to pick up social cues due to being a very honest and open person but when among her friends or any book-related topic (or just something that stimulates her quite wild imagination) comes up, her talkative and excitable side will come out and she would talk about it non-stop.

Despite her shy nature, Ashriel is actually really confident about her intellect and can be bold at times, she still gets embarrassed easily though. Because of this she often comes across as naive but in reality she just hates politics with all the lies that tore her family apart and only get involved to change gender roles and find out more about what happened between her parents. She always tries to see the best in people but knows when to watch her back. Very short, standing at 5’0, green eyes, shoulder-length wavy blonde hair and pale skin.

Pansexual. She falls fast and hard, Ashriel problaly has a bajilion crushes since childhood. Her ros are either Iseriah and Sebriel. She has the gayest crush on Iseriah and can’t help but imagine her being swept off her feet by Iseriah just like the romance novel she read. As for Sebriel, she is very interested in him since he has a lot of knowledge that isn’t available in Ophaesia and also cause he’s from a kinda enemy country and she loves fantasizing a forbidden romance. Since both her ro’s name relate to god so i name her Ashriel meaning god’s promise.

Amaryllis

A passionate and stubborn girl with a strong sense of responsibility who can sometimes be strict as well but is really friendly and cares for others like a caring older sister. She’s mostly mature and calm but can be pretty energetic and excitable at times and is surprisingly short-tempered, she tries to tone it down though. She is very bold and dislikes underhanded tactics, believing hard work and effort must be put into things to get them right.

Her relationship with Ysonia is rather complicated, she genuinely loves her mother but is extremely hurted by her abscenes and doesn’t want to go through it again. Her loneliness when Ysonia is away and her usual positive nature cause her to believe that she can only depend on herself and tends to hide her more sensitive side, thinking she always has to be strong as she feels it would drag down people’s morale.

Amaryllis has long straight red hair, tan skin and blue eyes, average height. She’s reasonably well read and is incredibly skilled in swordmanship, archery and riding. Bisexual.Her ro is definitely Atheron, just thinking about him helping her realize it’s okay to be vulnerable is the sweetest thing ever. I couldn’t find Atheron name meaning but I did find Atherton means from the town by a spring so i name her Amaryllis, a flower blooms in spring.

Milena

A really timid introvert, Milena is shy and quiet even more so than Solana, she can gets nervous easily and hestitates to speak openly unless approached. However, she is also an incredibly sweet, caring, gentle and calming person who would rather avoid disputes at all cost and is very loyal to people matters to her.
She has shoulder-length fluffy, curly brown hair, olive skin and amber eyes, stand at 5’4. Deep down, Milena has little to no confidence in herself and often feels insecure about her interest in fashion despite her great fashion sense when thinking about how she could never excel like her siblings. While aware of her desire to improve and tries to be a more confident and outgoing person, she is reserved to the point of feeling embarrassed or worried over how she may look in front of others.
Bisexual. She really admires Nethica and wishes to be more like him because of how confident and sociable he is, she also has a huge crush on him but doubt that he would ever falls for someone like her. I couldn’t Nethica name’s meaning so i just name Milena after what he deserves, love and warmth.

Dorothy

Best described as a hyperactive, cheerful, friendly and carefree girl who doesn’t seems to really worry about anything. She has long wavy red hair that are usually tied into low twin-tails,fair skin and purple eyes, stand at 5’2.

An energetic optimist, Dorothy’s very similar to Luna but is tamer and much more charismatic and ladylike as she loves dresses and heels, she could totally kick ass in them as well. She is incredibly enthusiastic about the smallest things and has a very bubbly and slightly childish nature with a little mischievous streak, she could be pretty mature whenever needed though. She’s also rather impulsive and reckless, often jump head first into any dangerous situation to help people without consideration.

Skilled in many forms of combat, Dorothy loves fighting and is always up for a challenge, also a great dancer as she thinks it’s a lot like fencing. Despite this, however, she hates the war and doesn’t join it to prove herself but because she thinks with her skills she could save a lot of lives and might even end it as soon as possible.

Straight. She has a friendly (one-sided)rivalry with Senetha and won’t stop bothering him until she finds a way to best him in combat. She actually has a huge crush on him but try to push it away cause it’s not like he can loves her back anyway, she still at least want to be close to him though so the rival stuff is mostly just an excuse to spends more time with him. Her names also means god’s gift like Mathias since they’re both romancing Senetha.

Orpheus

An extremely intelligent, cunning, mischieveous and somewhat sadistic person, also a dramatic little shit and problaly the inventor of meme. He has a sarcastic sense of humour and loves teasing and flirting with everyone, especially Vespi. Orpheus has short black hair but long enough to pull back into a small ponytail and grey eyes, fawn skin and really tall.

He’s ambitious, he wants the throne and is willing to trick, manipulate and use others to reach his goal. He’d often adopts multiple personalities to keep his true colours hidden, making him incredibly hard to read. Orpheus is not entirely bad however as he has a “the end justify the means” mindset, which is why he is willing to do anything, except killing, to become king so he could be a better king than Eraven ever was and try to make up for all the people he has hurted. Under his arrogant and smug facade, he feels very guilty and afraid that he might not even know who he is and lose sight of his goal. After everything he’s done he doesn’t think he deserves to be loved and has to lie to himself so he could go through with his plan.

He loves Ysonia and is determined to clear her name, hates Eraven but feels a bit sorry for him. He’s well read on every subjects and very skilled at the bow, dagger, the lute and dancing. He also loves using sleight of hand magic tricks to play pranks on others and entertain kids.

Pansexual. Gender roles whomst ? He doesn’t give one fuck about gender roles and will fight to change it. His main ros are Jasiphae and Iphorah cause it’s gonna be so much fun to watch Orpheus actually fall in love with Jasi when the only reason he want to get close to her in the first place was to use her for her powerful house. For Iphorah, i really like the chemistry between a literal angel and an asshole with a solf side and low self-esteem. His name means the darkness of night which is very fitting with his character and i’d like to think that Iphorah and Jasi are the lights that pull him out of darkness.

Mathias

He is mostly known as an apathetic and sarcastic person who puts little emotions into his words and is prone to tease people he deemed interesting to get different reactions out of them though he doesn’t express his emotions much aside from teasing. Along with his passive demeanor, Mathias could sleep pretty much anywhere and seems to never really exerts effort on anything unless neccessary.

On the other hand, he is surprisingly smart and clever, has brilliant deduction skills and actually knows his way around a sword, he truly is lazy though and finds it convenient that people would underestimate him for it. He doesn’t really care for politics and is more interested in the mysteries and intrigues behind it. He can also be incredibly stubborn once he sets his mind on something.

He loves Ysonia and is close to her but he still can’t fully trust his mother which is why he is determined to find the truth behind Alapharen’s murder, he was troubled by Eraven’s words when he was young but as he grows up he couldn’t give less of a shit about him anymore.

A little below average height, standing at 5’6 (he’s very defensive about this), has messy red hair, golden eyes and fawn skin.

Pansexual. His main ros are Senetha and Jasiphae. For Senetha, Mathias believes that there isn’t anyone without a dark side so he is very interested in finding more about him, he also finds teasing him really fun with how serious and righteous he is. As for Jasi, i really like the dynamic between a laid-back genius who doesn’t give a fuck about what others think of him and the perfect lady who struggles with social standard.
His name means gift of god which i think it’s kinda sweet cause Senetha is a palladin and Jasi deserves every gifts from god.

Raziel

A serious and dignified gentleman, Raziel is somewhat cold in nature and has a very analytical and logical way of thinking, perhaps too much for his own good. A perfectionist, he strives to be perfert in every fields and doesn’t allow himself to make mistake and is a workaholic to the point of being unhealthy.

Raziel used to be a cheerful and carefree kid who wish to make everyone happy with his music. However, the moment Eraven called him a mistake, he started to think it was his fault for not being as good as his siblings that his father hates him and his mother constantly leaving. From then on, he repress a lot of his emotions to avoid bothering people and being seen as weak, he also always try to rationlize it in the worst way possible “There’s no reason to be mad at father i couldn’t even do a proper greeting no wonder he sees me as a mistake” . " Why would Baelira and Terrisen want to visit me ? They’re more important and have better things to do than to visit their worthless brother" .

Nowadays, he plays music not with emotions but as a way to block out everything he’s feeling by playing exactly as it’s been written perfectly. However, he’s still an emotional, kind and awkward boy underneath that distant exterior. When around his friends, Raziel sometimes smile, is more inclined to humor, even teasing others. He’s charming but he can also be unintentionally blunt with his comments about other’s mistakes due to his honest desire to help people improve and not wanting them to be an anxiety-induced mess like him. With that said, all those years of repressed feelings take a toll on Raziel, he tries his best but there’s only so much he can takes, when he snaps he snaps , he would burn everything and everyone, both figuratively and literary, all with a sadistic smile on his face.

Raziel’s extremely well-read in every subject, prefer to use his wits to get what he want, he can plays most instruments and is pretty good with a rapier or a dagger. He has short white hair, blue eyes, pale skin and standing at 5’8.

Bisexual Demiromantic. His ros are Nethica and Kaedra. Raziel admires Kaedra for her free spirit and kind heart that would eventually helps him realizing that’s fine to not be perfect. I also imagine Nethica would probably be the only one aside from Kaedra manage to help Raziel truly relax and be vulnerable. Raziel means secret of god which is fitting cause Kaedra is the spymaster’s daughter. And for Nethica, i like to think that he’s the reason Raziel figures out he also likes guy but try to keep it a secret.

Before I get into replying to y'all, I wanted to show off a couple of the new headers I've been making for Seven Heirs!

And here's what they look like in night mode!

There are also chapter headers, part headers, and headers for sections in the stats page, like About You and Dramatis Personae, etc. Only the Houses will have art behind the text, and it’ll be of the House’s emblem. I’ve also added a header to the very first page of the game — a plain text version of the one in the first post, no gold or background.

The Patreon preview version will be updated with these details once I’m done making all of the necessary headers!

You know, I think we should all learn a little more about Neraven ;). A couple cool facts about
him? For absolutely unselfish reasons obviously, it’s for the good of the forum to know about the future king uwu.

Okay, facts about Neraven... Well, I know I've talked about this on my Tumblr, but I'm not sure if I ever mentioned it on the forum.

Neraven has two potential wives: Jasilyn Meranae and Soliphae Imyrien. Both are noblewomen from well-to-do Houses, but their Houses have very different reputations. Neraven marries Soliphae by default, as she’s everything Neraven seeks in a wife: intelligent, well-bred, well-mannered, skilled at politicking, and in possession of a strong sense of duty. She’s a very safe choice; no one can find fault in her as his wife.

However, he and Soliphae don’t love each other and never will. Not romantically, anyhow. Their marriage is purely political and without passion. They end up regarding each other more as allies and confidants and develop a warm friendship, but neither are fully satisfied with their marriage and they know it.

By contrast, Jasilyn is an… odd choice of wife for Neraven. The Meranaes are a very old House, older than Ophaesia, but they are reclusive, vastly preferring to keep to their secluded estate in the Gahvene province than to politic in the capital. For nobility, they are humble and don’t abide by some of the more chafing Ophaesian traditions, such as arranged marriages for their children. Every Meranae who’s ever wed did so for love.

Jasilyn is a woman who feels more comfortable outside than she ever will indoors. Her family’s estate is surrounded by woods, and she’ll spend the entire day out there. She’s free-spirited and kind-hearted and, in many ways, blissfully naïve. She has no experience with politics or dissembling or anything like that; her skills lie in elsewhere, with herbalism, riding, and singing. She’s also quite a talented seamstress and often makes her own clothes. She’s quick to laugh and to dance and to love.

She’s casts light where Neraven casts shadows.

And he falls hopelessly in love with her.

Neraven has been in love before, and it ended horribly. It’s left him cynical, certain that he won’t ever love again and fine with it. Really, he loved his first love for all the wrong reasons. He put them on a pedestal, and they were doomed to come crashing down eventually. Who’d have thought it’d have been so spectacularly awful.

So when he meets Jasilyn, he’s not looking for love, but she has a unique way of finding chinks in people’s armor and getting them to open up to her. And Neraven desperately needs to open up to someone.

Anyway, beyond that, here are some random facts about him:

• His favorite color is blue.
• He has a very low tolerance for spicy food.
• He cannot for the life of him carry tune and is actually rather embarrassed by that fact.
• He’s left-handed.
• His handwriting used to be practically illegible, but after someone says as much, he spent hours a day everyday for months improving his handwriting. He has the loveliest handwriting out of all the characters, and Eraven will often ask him to write a letter for him when he doesn’t want to bother getting a scribe.
• He wanted to study at the University of Amethos but ended up not going as Eraven didn’t want his heir so far away.
• He enjoys hunting but rarely talks about it because Eraven disapproves. (Perion and Lurian died because of a hunting accident.)
• He’s quite a good juggler. He taught himself when he was young so he could entertain his siblings.

Tbh it’s gonna be really hard to be a good person in this game. My MC wants to take over Ophaesia and throw my siblings out on the street. No love lost there.

I knew there’d be people who’d want to play the game with this type of character, so I’ve always planned on including really cruel and cold-hearted options! I think it can be very, very interesting to play a game as the bad guy rather than the hero, and I want to give players a chance to explore that.

I plan to allow MCs to range from “petty asshole” to “evil mastermind” in terms of how bad they can be.

However, I do caution against just choosing every “bad”/”evil” option, because this a game of consequences. If you want to be a successful bad guy, you have to convince some people you’re the hero.

When you first meet him, he’s eighteen and freshly ordained. Extremely young for a Head Tutor.

So while he’s a crappy father specifically toward the Heir MC, he’s at least a decent king to his people, even if he’s not the most pleasant of men and he has to deal with his brother’s shadow continuing to loom over him even in death. And the kingdom has done well enough under his reign that people are mostly content under his rule. Yet, some of his choices as king, unfortunately for him, has given him a good handful of loose ties that the MC could turn in their favor. Though I wonder which side could be swayed the most easiest to hardest in MC’s way (maybe that just depends on the MC themselves).

Exactly this. Eraven isn’t the best father — especially in regards to the MC but also with his sons — but he is definitely far better than his own father was. He’s done a good job with Baelira in particular, but that’s not too surprising since she’s his favorite.

And while he’s made some unpopular (read: bad) choices, overall his reign has been peaceful and, for the most part, stable, especially in recent years.

I actually really dislike correcting people, so I just didn’t say anything. But you’re right. Eraven and Ysonia have slept together exactly once, and it was on their wedding night. It was that night that resulted in their falling out and Eraven’s continued animosity towards Ysonia. One of the many reasons why Eraven hates the sight of the MC is because it reminds him of that night and how horrible it was.

Wow, I really do enjoy reading your take on things!! It’s so enjoyable to see what people have picked up on and how they interpret it!!

And yes, Eraven very much failed to keep his emotions in check. That has always been his greatest flaw, his inability to keep control of himself when his emotions threaten to take over. It’s been this way since he was a child, and it led to him being unpopular throughout his youth. It’s also why he was never able to best Lurian when they sparred; Lurian always managed to keep a cool head, whereas Eraven loses himself to his emotions.

I will say this: for all of Eraven’s failings as a father and a person, and there are a great many, he has not and will never hit any of his children. It’s something he is vehemently opposed to, to the point that even when he is overcome with anger, it doesn’t even occur to him to lay a finger on one his children. Instead, he’ll find something to throw or just use his words, which, really, can be equally painful.

I love playing the underdog; it makes the rise to some form of strength even more interesting. I also like seeing the ways karma can play out and how those being effected by it respond to it. And most of all, I love watching someone surpass those who oppose them to the point of simply turning their back on that person because they are no longer worth the other person’s time and they got better to go (even if the one who opposed think otherwise). Can’t think of a more fun place to see that play out than between the Heir MC and the Dahlas side of their family. Especially in regards to the one of the ones who possibly oppose them the strongest for reason yet to be fully known: Eraven.

You and I are of a similar mind! I enjoy playing an underdog who, through time and experience and hard work, becomes the Best™. It’s supremely satisfying from a narrative standpoint, especially when others still underestimate the MC, unaware of how they’ve grown, how they’ve honed their skills. The pay-off of the MC’s competence/power being revealed is a thrill.

Anyway, I will say this: One way or another, a reckoning is slowly approaching for Eraven.

I think there are quite a few people who feel this way! I can’t promise that there will be satisfying reconciliation between Eraven and the MC, but I also don’t intend to completely deprive people who desire such.

Fairly well-educated, all things considered. Average Ophaesians who live within cities and larger villages generally know how to read and write Ophaesian, albeit often to a limited degree. Ophaesians in more rural circumstances are more often illiterate. Those who are common but well-off financially certainly have a better education — some even go to the University of Amethos — but nobles and those in the priesthoods unsurprisingly have received the best education.

Ohhhh yes. Lots of combat, especially at the end of Part One. (Depending on your choices though, but it’s not hard to figure out which choices will lead to fighting.)

Yes and no. The MC can go to at least two other countries, as well as an island off the coast, but the MC will have to come back eventually. This is just for the actual playable part of the game, though. In the epilogue, the MC can bounce and leave Ophaesia behind.

I already have a head cannon of my big, burly MC hanging out at a tavern with all his commoner buddies while the nobles look on with disgust.

This is absolutely possible and something I’ve planned from the start. Nethica in particular likes to do this himself as well, so it’s certainly something the MC and him can do together.

Tbh I feel like pairing Neraven with Jasilyn would benefit the three of them. Neraven and Soliphae won’t end up in a loveless marriage. Neraven will be happy with Jasilyn. Soliphae will be free to pursue whoever she wants and live happily ever after. Am I heavily biased? Yes. Is there any way anyone can prove me wrong? No.

Plus, Jasilyn would definitely be fit to be a queen. Even though she’s not involved in politics she’s obviously very caring, kind, and compassionate. Every kingdom needs a little love to flourish, and Jasilyn’s green fingers will ensure Ophaesia’s continued growth.

Neraven must be burdened by having to act a certain way to please the Ophaesian people and his father. Having so much responsibility on his shoulders without someone to turn to, rely on, open up to… It seems extremely tiring. Jasilyn is his knight in shining armor essentially. She teaches him how to love again, she’ll be there to support him, she’ll help him open up.

They’ll walk the path together. And oh my god I’m crying?? Sorry I can’t believe I’m getting emotional over Neraven x Jasilyn but they’re so sweet y’all.
