About that, there were cases of Allied soldiers taking Japanese skulls as war trophies.
Still, not exactly a war trophy, and after a quick google search I found this

At the bottom of the 4th page it states that âunder no circumstances may war trophies include any items which in itself is evidence of disrespectful treatment of enemy dead.â
@Verand, while that is true, it is also true that skulls were taken.
I figured some probably were, Still, it does technically violate a regulation. I suppose if you didnât go waving it around and making itobvious that you have a enemy skull it wouldnât be unrealistic to take one.

So far not too bad, one thing I have not seen is that no planes have been used and usually you would have planes helping clear the interior defenseâs now I know it would be hard to bomb a spider hole cuz you canât really see it, but I think when we get to the part where the MC is by the dirt wall, when you say the air screeching I thought that would be a good spot to put that a plan is bombing or overhead.
Another request is that, personal when ever I see D-Day I think the invasion of Germany in France. if I had to use something besides D-Day I would use âLanding dayâ. That way you take out the thinking of a entire diffent fight agaist a different enemy.
One thing I nothiced is the Jap solider changeing against the MC and Leo, I would say (although Im sure you already know) becareful with bonsai charges because at this time the Japanese started to not use that tactic anymore. But I think adding a bonsai charge would be cool especially at the end.
And another question I have is will the MC be able to get into the âhoneycombâ bunkers and stuff like that, like to be able to clear them out?

Using skulls as war trophies does not surprise me given the racial hatred on both sides of World War II - especially German hatred of Jews and American hatred of the Japanese. In both cases, this was often a visceral, very emotional hatred.
The note that came with that particular skull read, âThis is a good Jap, a dead one picked up on the New Guinea beach.â I remember seeing a few political cartoons from the time portraying Japanese as roaches or other vermin, with the implication that they should all be exterminated. (And eventually, many Japanese civilians were.) The word âJapâ was, and still is, a racial slur.
@RedJohnnny This will probably be an issue if you ever get to the point where you want to publish this. There are still people in the US who remember being forced to live in concentration camps because of their race. It would be like publishing a game where you play a white American in the Jim Crow south, and some of the game play involved the MC and the other characters talking about whether n****rs should be allowed to vote. Maybe itâs a historically accurate portrayal of how people were at the time, but that does not mean HG will publish it.
One video game (Rockstarâs LA Noir) got around this by inexplicably making its MC a non-racist, apparently the only non-racist in his platoon. It was a little odd historically, but it made him more appealing to modern audiences.

Alright, i am gonna change D-Day, to landing day. Also, in the battle of peleliu, napalm strikes were used midway in the battle if im correct, and your right, i will be sure to add planes in the next update. The banzai scene wasnt really meant to be a BANZAI scene, just a desperate japanese soldier standing by the warrior code, and finally, the mc will get oprotunities to vollunteer for such things. He will also be able to vollunteer for MG duty if i get around to it. P.S. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK

Alright, good to know about the racial slur and the fact about the concentration camp thing. Also, i am planning to try and make the MC not say, âJapâ as much as the other marines around him. But im also trying to be historically acurate, so who knows? Also, thanks for the feedback!

Sorry about that, i will be uploading the next update in around a few days due to the fact that i had to wipe my computer due to a virus and i lost the files, so ive been making the chapters all over again. This game is NOT dead.
