I hadn’t realised that this WIP automatically shut, so I asked for it to be opened (thanks @Gower, once again).
Anyway, it still is in a zombie state while I finish Birth of a Hero (as in, the entire game is already coded and written, I just need to get around to going through it and re-writing it to take into account everything I’ve learnt in the past few years…)

I really like this divide between humans and aliens i love that sense of realism in it great work on that can’t wait to see more of this story.

Influenced by 40k, Star Trek and Blade Runner? That’s some serious uh… contrast there…
Like, Star Trek is some sort of socialist left wing utopia where scarcity has been nearly eliminated and society has learned to embrace the benefits of diversity for the sake of the pursuit of knowledge, while 40k is a post apocalyptic fascist dystopia where people are so xenophobic and anti-intellectual that they’re replaced a scientific understanding of their technology with dogmattic repetition of basic functional knowledge… And then Blade Runner is a Cyberpunk dystopia where runaway capitalism has lead to a corporate oligarchy… Like… I think you’ve basically covered every popular extreme of futuristic archetypes that still involve a mostly functional human society. That’s not a criticism by any means. Just… I can’t quite imagine how that’d pan out.

Hahaha… I take your point, and seeing it that way you are right! But, I guess my thoughts regarding the influences are certain ideas/concepts that I’ve taken from each:
-Star Trek for the concept of a ship going from planet to planet, exploring…
-Blade Runner for the anti-aritificial human aspects of the game
-40k for the fascist/xeonophocic and slightly anti-intellectual nature of the empire…
I guess it would be more correct to say that “I have taken elements and concepts of these three, and mixed them into something”. But, it’s not the first time that people have pointed out that my own feelings about my games might be different to the perception of them by others. I always perceived Highway Wars to be heavily influenced by Mad Max, yet some players said it was actually closer to Fallout (which I never played…).

I am looking forward to seeing our ship, I want a phalanx or a Nova cannon strapped to the side with duct tape. Love 40K vessels and enjoyed the demo, I look forward to seeing more.

I really love games with character appearance choices, and would really love if we are able to choose our height, weight, hair etc differently from out subrace.

A small update is up. I still need to continue to re-structure the game (which actually takes a lot of time and mental effort, but slowly…)
@British_Dragon I need to re-do a bit the ship part of the game, actually (to give it more flavour). Basically, the game is actually “finished”, though it’s a mess… so I am going through re-writing it all…
@Dwayne, just added all that… well, not height and weight, but clothes, etc. It’s mostly cosmetic, though it does influence loyalty slightly…

‘Skulls for the skull throne’, ‘Blood for the Blood God!’, ‘The Warp is a nice place.’, ‘The Emperor Protects!’.
Honestly, I think the name of the system/sector we are in would make a good title. Something along the lines of “Gothic Armada”.

Depends on how the game goes, I would say you should get mid-game and a lot of people will have ideas of how to name it. Just like what you did with Hero and Villain: Genesis which is a very wonderful game.

Also you could name them space wars hopefully you dont get any copyright claims if you use this because this is very close to Star wars

Now that I think about it, ‘The Lost Sector’ seems rather fitting considering the start of the story.
