I thought the fight with Neia was foreplay. I was 100% down, but alas, I am a dude.

Is there an achievement guide somewhere?

I have to say, as a Brazilian, reading about those Portuguese galleons on the horizon… yes, I thought about all that sweet, sweet gold (if you know, you know) lol

Agree, it seemed like a natural stopping point and I was wondering how that would even feel as an opening scene in the next book. Including it in the first book itself would have allowed the start of the starting of book 2 to be less crowded instead of throwing us right into the ball

The first book’s arc was catching Rafael.

All I can say is that you won’t be thrown right into the ball

There is! The amazing @Nell made one.

Read it here!

The only thing I’d add is that, if you achieve the “Friends in High Places” achievement, you get a new scene in Chapter 7 at the inn with Captain Cynthia — if you went to the Harbor, you also learn Shari’s fate.

There are actually going to be a few new achievements in an upcoming patch but, for now, this is all.

Oh, no :sob:

I’m having fun thinking of a scenario where you beg Alessa for money only to just straight after buy those deserts for her

Duuuude, that joke is old already :joy:. At least the Portuguese made better use of it than we did. Portugal is drop dead gorgeous
:portugal:, please visit there. If it all stayed in Brazil it would have fattened the pockets of the Coronéis and the Senhores de Engenho. The populace wouldn’t have seen a single ounce of it. Which actually happened.

Hey, folks! I got the game and was hyped to play it, but haven’t yet, and now I saw a particular spoiler that I need to ask about, cos it bothers me, and I apologize if it’s a wrong place to ask.

So, I’ve read, that if you are playing a female MC who romances Alessa, then Hadrian still hits on your MC even if she isn’t interested. I’d like to know how intrusive that is, cos it bothers me. Thanks in advance for your answers.

I would say that it’s not intrusive at all. Your MC has quite a few choices of how to deal with Hadrian’s crush. Ranging from completely avoiding the whole situation to directly rejecting him. Once he understands you aren’t interested that’s that. Absolutely no harassment or badgering or other that kind of stuff. You are a very respected MC.

Uhm no he doesnt hit on you. Of course if someone has an unrequited crush they are going to feel disappointed and jealous. But there is a scene where he supports Alessa and tells her to not be blind to her feelings.

But I warn you there will be alot of stares and you will never get a confrontation scene with them (I would have liked that as it would have felt more complete rather than leaving it and hoping hadrian’s crush goes away on its own). There could have been options for some mcs to confront hadrian or alessa on their feelings as it may have left positive feelings and a hope for a platonic bonding with them

Thanks for your replies, folks, but you kinda contradict each other since @Cerununnos said that you can confront Hadrian and say that you aren’t interested and @Raven_Jewel says there’s no confrontation and situation isn’t resolved! So which is it?

You don’t outright say: "Hadrian, I’m not interested in you in a romantic way. " but you don’t really have to since he already knows you’re pursuing Alessa. He’s just a bit heartbroken and acts sad during the scenes where you flirt with her since it’s not that easy to get rid of your feelings. If you want him to act colder towards the MC and get over his crush more quickly killing a certain bandit helps. Like the others said, he never hits on you or acts disrespectful though.

I think its when you are not interested in anyone and hadrian kind of asks you out that time you can confront him. But if you are interested in Alessa then you can’t confront hadrian as all the scenes where Hadrian would have made a move is replaced by alessa’s scenes.

Oops I guess I missed it in my runs. I thought that that specific Hadrian scene was present regardless of who is being romanced. Sorry about the confusion @aozaki ! :frowning: regardless of the rejecting or lack there of, the point about no harassment or badgering stands! Hadrian is a gentleman whatever female MC’s taste in men/women might be.

So I’ve picked up romance points with Alessa, Ysabella and Vallen and I’ve reached a certain point in chapter 6 and was wondering if we have to lock in our LI in this book?

iirc the author mentioned in tumblr that the romance will not lock like in other books, more like the ROs confess/express their love and you commit to each other (cmiiw my memories bad :sob:)

If you pursue Alessa you’ll get kiss scene at certain point. I think that’s a sign your relationship go into a more serious one :D.

Ysabella probably in book 2.

Vallen’s not an RO lol, tho I’m wondering what will happen if we keep flirting with her.

She never responds to flirting. Actually, she seems a bit dumb…

Or she pretends to be…

Vallen is very sus…On one hand there are the dumb things she says…But then again I don’t think they would have such dumb ppl in the ‘red guard’. Also there is that one dialogue which kinda implies that she knows abt mc’s mark
