I think it said in the epilogue that you do continue loving each other, with more strain than before of course.
There may be more endings I haven’t seen with a better outcome so don’t lose hope

Thanks again ^^! I think I’ll stop reading for now, too scared of these endings
So is there any chance of marrying Möngketani the Xiognu heiress?
Getting the Xiognu fully on your side through a marriage alliance would be intereating, she was a cool lass overall.
I don’t know for sure how to marry if you want a love match since personally I’ve only done political matches. But you can become Emperor/heir by following the instructions in the post linked.
It’s not until Chapter 5(?) I think. Yeah it’s Chapter 5. So unless you’ve gotten there you won’t have the chance to become Emperor yet.
Is they’re anyway to succeed in the spy mission?
I get error code 403 whenever I reach chapter 4, is there any fix for this?
Anyone else feel like there weren’t very many opportunities to increase commoner approval? That probably makes sense by design, you don’t get many interactions with them, you’re one of the elite, but still, there really aren’t that many obvious choices that do that that I can see. Admittedly, I also allied with Xiang Yu but I went out of my way to be as merciful as possible to limit collateral damage. speaking of which, is there anyway to convince him not to go all Staby Stabby on the prisoners you capture at the end of chapter 3? The best result I could get was by killing some and leaving the rest alive, where I was given the choice to try and convince him, but nothing I do even works
Same here, sent an email to support-twocranes-web@choiceofgames.com as instructed.
I think there’s a lot to fix in Chapter 4 so they may be in the process of updating which is why it’s giving you issues. Most of the bug reports I’ve seen definitely were about that chapter anyway.|
^Above is speculation I don’t know if they’re updating now but I know the author said they’re waiting for COG to roll out some bug updates.
It’s a lot easier to make the commoners happy on the Liu Bang route. That’s a feature, not a bug.
My own speculation is that it may have to do with the save feature. Only at the end of chapter 3 you are asked to save for the first time, and then the game breaks.
Hey I think you’re confused. Like I said above the MC cannot make a bid to become Emperor until Chapter 5 but you’re refering to Chapter 4 right now. So the guide for Chapter 5 wouldn’t work for you. If you’d like some help with Chapter 4 you’re free to ask questions I and others in the forum would be happy to help and the author usually replies to any questions about the game and confusion players have as well.
OK, so about the knowledge stats: husbandry, diplomacy, law, economics, I really don’t like that there are choices that can result in them taking decreases. Mainly because I didn’t even know that could happen until it did, and that led to me spending way too much time hesitating on choice branches, Checking and double checking to make sure that my next choice probably wouldn’t result in one of my stats taking a hit. I just feel like that’s a design flaw that doesn’t have any upsides to it
I don’t think you understood me. You don’t have the chance to be Emperor before Chapter 5. In Chapter 4 it’s just deciding which of the 3 become Emperor your MC’s chance to throw their hat in the ring does not come until Chapter 5. And from what I’ve seen on the forum(can only say what I’ve read have not played this branch myself yet). You also can’t marry the third Emperor choice until Chapter 5 either. Chapter 4 only decides which of the three sit upon the throne. But if you continue to the next Chapter that’s when your chance to do both of these things will come.
Okay it’s fairly obvious you’re code diving but haven’t played through the chapter yet. I would recommend waiting until the author can get back to you I think I’m hurting the situation more than I’m helping it right now.
Ok thanks
I’m not sure, but maybe it depends on whether you were able to get to the camp after meeting a rebel soldier in the woods. It mentions a third party that wants to seize the throne. Or if you were given the opportunity to return to the camp instead of pursuing the other Emperor (your Emperor’s rival). But when I played, twice I was able to get into the camp and was chosen my emperor and once I couldn’t and the empress appeared. And in order to marry her, I suppose you need to support her in the first place and betray Liu Bang or Xiang Yu.
You always meet him in the story, he attacks you. You can either fight back and then your master will help you and there will be an interrogation scene, or you can let him escape.
@Ramidel Yes @TwoSharp is going to update the guide with how many tasks in each category you need vs what is available. Also we are planning on making it more clear in the game for clarity. Thanks for catching another bug; we’ll look into that too.
@HalloweenBox Chan Ming is a tragic romance. The happiest is definitely joining him and staying alive. The two of you would be in a prolonged war with the remaining Imperials but you took a chunk of China for yourselves.
@Aorta1 Cheats aren’t planned, but we recognize that the game is difficult and are looking at lowering some of the test thresholds.
@eldensalkeld She is not a romance but you can have a fling in Chapter 7 if you are female presenting.
@Random_Person Yes, it’s covered in the civil war guide.
@Takahasi Sorry this isn’t an error that we can help with. Trying contact COG support.
@Sujan_Dhakal Generally, commoners appreciate mercy and generosity. So if you have any prisoners let them live or if you encourage others to aid nearby villages and their goodwill will increase.
You can convince Xiang Yu to spare the prisoners, but it’s one of the tests that need to be fixed. It’s a test of Honorable and Altruistic and Forgiving when it should be an OR test.
@TwoSharp and I are going to take a look at those stats. In later chapters they can be decreased usually alongside another one of them being increased. Like a give and take. But we’re open to adjusting that mechanic.
@musawir
It does depend on which Emperor you have (which is a little buggy with Ying Quliang). Take a look at this guide and see if that helps at all.
If you want to marry an RO you have to select the romance option when prompted for your feelings on them (doesn’t have to be the first time you’re asked. Can be the second time). Then in Chapter 4 after the civil war ends you need to invite them to your estate. Declare your love and if your relationship is over 55 they’ll confess to you.
I do plan on lowering the relationship threshold, but it’ll have to wait until the next update.
If you want to have an arranged marriage with the Dai you’ll need to agree to it with Chen Yongrui in Chapter 4. She’ll bring it up after your emperor wins the civil war. You’ll then get married in Chapter 5.
If you want to marry Ying Quliang in a political marriage (the third emperor that can kill Liu Bang and Xiang Yu) then you’ll have to betray Liu Bang or Xiang Yu and successfully weaken them. The option to marry her only shows if you are trying to become heir to the throne.
In chapter 4 there are 3 emperor options. To find out about the third one (Ying Quliang who is the one who ambushes your camp after Liu Bang and Xiang Yu’s final battle) you find a spy in the woods. This scene happens after you recruit Han Xin and return to your emperor. Your crane will appear and tell you to follow the trail. This will lead you to the spy. More details for this are in the guide.
@DiGreatDestroyer Something is going on with the save system right now and we’re waiting to hear back from COG on how to fix it.
This is the chapter 4 civil war guide.
