I saw that Mystics can bond with animals. Are there animal choices and if so, how many and what are they? And are the romances free or restricted? Free being you can romance anyone regardless of gender and restricted being only able to romance certain ROs as specific gender and preferences.

This seems like a pretty minor but also serious oversight. It would be like mistaking the patronymic name for the surname in some Slavic cultures, or something along those lines. Iām not an expert in onomastics.

@Zarkai The familiar is a set animal. All mystics bond with one, but yours is unique, and has some unique abilities that you see toward the end of the game. Any PC have access to any romance regardless of gender, but the romances do have some dealbreakers. For example: Fang Lan wants children (adopted or biological) and if you do not she will leave you. Conversely, Zhang Bohai refuses to have children.

The animal isnāt a crane is it? It also said that if the Mystic is strong enough, they can bond with bigger, stronger animal and even multiple ones. Is that true for the MC?
Is there still the option to choose your personal weapon? Iām only a little ways into chapter 4 but I vaguely remember being able to choose in chapter 3 of the old demo, curious since Iām not really a fan of spears

I supported Liu Bang but QuLiang became emperor after I failed to persuade my father to go back to the camp. I also found a spy soldier but he ran away on the night before capturing Xiang Yu

Iāve code dived and replayed the chapter five times at this point. Please give more detail. For me Xiang is the Emperor on the throne and I thought I only needed his, the Empress, and the court or armyās support? I thought I had the Empressā support when I gave her to murder baby and married Liu Fei and married my brother to the Dai(because that gets you the court appointment right?) Anyway moving on so I thought that gave me the Empressā support. And for the Emperor I thought I needed to reveal his uncle was a rebel, get army support(specifically the support connected to him), and bring down the regulations against Yong Shi. I did all of that and then everything associated with the court. But I still wasnāt named heir. Am I missing something? Do I have to be male/male presenting? Iām so confused.

@www The available ROās and there dealbreakers are:
Fang Lan: wants children (also donāt betray her later on)
Zhang Bohai: no children
Liu Yuan: accept her asexuality (this doesnāt mean no sex although sheās thrilled if thatās the case, just respect her boundaries)
Liu Fei: wants a sexual relationship, accept his close relationship with/prioritizing Liu Yuan
Chan Ming: none, he doesnāt think heāll be a good father but it isnāt a dealbreaker
Lin Ninghong: wants children and to have a sexual relationship
Also, donāt marry someone who isnāt your RO that is a universal dealbreaker.

@Zarkai Your spiritual agent/bond is the Crane. There is a story reason as to why your familiar is so unexpected Chan Ming and his crane. In Chapter 7 you are starting to regain more strength and new abilities, if he hadnāt interfered you would have been able to choose your bond with something else..
@NuclearRanger Each class has a set weapon that cannot be changed.

Ugh! I donāt really like avian creatures that much unless itās specific ones like Phoenixes, Eagles, Hawks and Ravens. And my Mysticās bond being locked to a Crane because of interference is bothering me even more. This is kind of a deal breaker for me but this game has 750,000 words! Thatās a lot of content and it looks like it even has some of the stuff I like which is kindgom/territory management! Not sure if I should refund it or notā¦
The book is literally called the tale of two ācranesā lol Iām not exactly a fan of the bird either but I donāt think that should be a dealbreaker, especially since this is the best release in a long while imo
