Pretty good. Not the most dramatic, but crafted with care.
I noticed some inconsistencies when loading saves from the previous game (e.g. text saying that the town have walls when it doesn’t, saying that I won the fight against goblins when I load the magic ending save, extra 10 cunning and empathy stats whenever I load any save??, etc.). Is there going to be a fix for this coming soon? I’m trying to figure out if I should just manually select the stronghold history to start the game or wait for the update fixing this .
It depends whether these issues have been brought to their attention. Generally, when they’re made aware of bugs in a newly-published game, they fix them pretty quickly. Your greatest chance of seeing a fix for issues like these is to report them yourself. Write to support@choiceofgames.com and describe the inconsistencies in as much detail as you can. Include screenshots if possible.
What stats do you need to be able to remember the old stories of dragons when you first meet the dragon? Ive tried like 5 times now with different set ups and it wont let me pick that answer
Played it a it late all things considered after finally getting the ending I wanted in Stronghold one, you know the world feels much richer not only the town we founded is still here but the caverns truly in Zelda sequel style are a world of their own connecting the races of the world in interesting new ways, Gudrun messing around in the caverns without the King of the goblins permission perphaps creating a new goblin civilisation far from the old one same with the lost driads that turned to eat meat for better or worse they have culturally diverged so much from their forest kin, it is amazing to see these new people’s be born in Stronghold 2 and honestly believe us one of its strongest points, what I didn’t like that much is the relationship with the chief really felt specially when we are related to them that they are fairly cold and uncaring and even when the stats reflected you know they got along they really were as indifferent as they come even when the MC saved the town it really let me down there wasn’t anything big or truly emotional with them. Releasing the dragon at the end and getting all of it’s treasures by default felt really good, the perfect way to end the tale by the side of the cute driads Aspen.
Same, like sure my MC messed up once in wakiing up the dragon but towards the end they did amazing stuff like founding new mining sources for the community and all the way to slaying a dragon, this shit far supasses what the MC’s great-grandparent ever did and what is the reaction of our grandparent/chieftain who kept doubting the MC, fucking nothing, like bruh you would not even give me a fucking apology, heck even a cheezy line, like you are proud of the MC and what makes this even worse, we can’t rub it in they face or diss them about all we have achieved compared to them, who literally got no feats to speak of
