“I’m a fucking empath, MC!” sealed this as one of the best first-reads I’ve ever had of a WIP. So, so fun. All the characters, particularly Kendall, Dave, Summer and even Mason feel very real. They feel familiar and I genuinely buy the relationships they have with MC and each other. I also really want to watch this movie?
My MC is ready to become a modern day Grace Kelly I’m excited to read all of the ROs routes, but how can I not go for the short-term, low-maintenance, high-emotion long-distance situationship with royalty??
Also, does broadway Sutton Foster also exist in this universe?
Well Sutton seems like having tiger parent, one that pursue achievement, glory hound tiger parents is the worse thought, they’re not only want to achieve academic prestige they usually also overcontrolling even to the hobby as well, it makes everything less fun, hopefully now an adult Sutton already get over it.
I am relieved for once childhood sweeheart is not romanceable, they tend to outshine other RO.
Dayumn! Am I that talentless my MC followed L’s advice to getting to the character and I did that successfully. But when I tried the 1st time with my own interpretation but with the L’s advice I couldn’t get the role.
I think the fact that it’s so popular is a sign that these types of ROs should be used, not that they shouldn’t be.
But in all seriousness, I completely understand if the author has a reason to not include Kendall as an RO. I don’t want to put pressure on. I just think it’s a missed opportunity, since I think the route would be really fun.
I’m the total opposite I tend to not like childhood friend RO’s unless part of the storyline is they lost touch the more dramatic the reason the better.
I will say that the MC deciding to throw a party in their home is stressing me out. Like, yeah, I get it, a scene with a party is a good scene. But I totally missed the reason for throwing a party, and very early in that scene you come face-to-face with a person who was invited by someone who you don’t know and ohhhhhhhh boy the moment that happens I am throwing EVERYONE the fuck out of my home.
I don’t have it in me to be an actor, I guess. God, the very idea of having a bunch of strangers inside my home is a lot more horrifying than any horror game could ever be. The Fog knows my name? No problem. There’s an eldritch thing that wants to eat me? Totally chill, all good. There are a bunch of people in my living room and dining room and bedroom and I just heard the sound of breaking glass? I’m screaming bloody murder.
Extremely good demo. Summer was a treat, I hate Mason but abuse substances with him just the same, and the treatment of entertainment in general and acting in particular is intriguing. As long as the focus remains on making your way as an actor, you have yourself a fan!
Well I see it, or I think my mc sees it, as a create your own impromptu networking opportunity while you’ve still got the fancy penthouse and fake it till you make it, that sort of stuff. He doesn’t actually like those massive parties full of strangers but sees them as an inevitable part of the line of work he’s chosen. He does love more intimate parties with say 20-50 people where most of them are actual friends and acquaintances plus their plus ones.
Clarification might be nice here, going to assume that is the British Royal family since that one is most familiar to Americans and this is set in Hollywood.
Royals who are not British tend to be much less known in America, so I am going with that explanation as to why my mc does recognize two, likely minor, members of the British royal family but never recognized his own friend with benefits C. as a prince.
After getting home and taking a quick shower, you had sent a text to Kira. She had responded quickly, telling you she’d be over soon. By the time the elevator opens into your living room, you’re laid out on the couch, an old sitcom playing on the flat screen. In all honesty, you had started to doze off.
Cole steps into your living room with a wide, friendly grin. “Well don’t you look cozy,” he says. “Sorry about the lag, I had some trouble finding a spot for my bike.”
