Short Games Showcase 2024 - Voting Deadline Extended

The Short Games Showcase is an opportunity to show off shorter interactive fiction works made in the past year (2024). The organizers have recently announced an extension to the voting deadline, so as of this writing, there are about 11 days to the deadline (11:59 PM Eastern time on Saturday, January 25th). If you’d like to play games and participate in the voting, feel free to do so.

Entries can be rated on the submission page.

Special awards can be voted for through this form.

It is definitely good to try as many types of IF games as you can for this event. Anyway, for a quick cheat sheet of choicescript games:

Choicescript games:

Flashpoint by @Sailingshells

All I Am Is This and Get There on Time by @Foxcat

Temporal Thief: Part I, Temporal Thief: Part II and The Depths of Madness by @Jacic

The Mystery of Castle Alaire by @ChanceOfFire

Non-choicescript games from choicescript writers:

Sojourn through the Decade by @MoonlightBomber

Yeah, longer games are more popular here, but the good thing about short games is that you can wrap them up fast. Anyway, my entry is 48k words, so it’s not too short. Everything is free to play on itch for the duration of the event.

If I left any game out, or if you want your game off this list, please feel free to let me know.

Yay! So glad this has been extended. I haven’t had a chance to look at a lot of the games this year

Also thanks for the list! Makes it easier for me to find the CSG’s/authors.

Also for anyone a fan of the Scarlet Sorceress WIP, definitely check ChanceOfFire’s game out
