So the latest update has been released. Main take away is that chapter 4 has some expansion on the different routes, but there is a lot more to still be done on that chapter and the travel section in general. I also did some tinkering about on some other parts of the games, including the chapter 11 sandbox section, though lots more needed and to be added for that too.
For those that want more details, via the change log here is what this update has got:

-Numerous bugs and typos fixed. Sorry to say so many more remain . . .
-There was a problem that for the sisters rel scores threatened to get to high around the early-mid game (chap 13 or so); to get around this we now reset rel scores back down to 85 at the start of each chapter and award one Loyalty Point each time we have to do this. The Loyalty Points are for that given character, and serve as a mark of loyalty and sorority or intense friendship with that character - as things darken these will eventually become relevent in the times of trouble to come.
-For chapter 11 I added a display using opposed stat charts that should show amount of daylight vs darkness, current hunger for prot, current thirst for prot, current vitality, and current sanity; this will also warn if some extreme states have been activated, though I will probably keep adding these and the warnings as game development continues. Hoping that if this code works and looks good it might be reused in other future sandbox sections.
-Started expanding the sandbox travel section for chapter 11; lots more to be added yet. Sorry, meant to add more, but ran out of energy for this particular update.
-Added a few more new variables for various things. Most of these won’t be used until mid to late game, so it shouldn’t challenge saved games for a while.
-For chapter 4, started to write the rough road section, which leads to a series of scenes where the prot and her party are attacked during a storm and have to seek sanctuary in a cave. However, the cave is occupied. Start of this path, but lots more to be written and added in a future update.
-For chapter 14, added in a brief scene where Stara confronts the prot about some of her concerns and hints of the shadow of a plan. Also added in some automatic moral adjustments for Stara that are chapter dependent.
-For chapter 4, started to write the normal road section, which leads to a series of scenes and mini-adventure where the prot and her sisters stay at an inn that may have a bit of a supernatural problem. Just the begining so far. Rest to be added in a future update.
-For chapter 4, for the london branch, added in a few abreviated scenes where the sisters pick one of three guides to help them journey through the mists to the destination realm; these scenes are to be greatly expanded, and right now are just bare bones for the most part.
-For chapter 4, for london branch, added in most of a few scenes where the prot and Stara can meet and interact with some of Stara’s admirers. Depending on approach, might get some clues on how Stara met them and who they all are. This scene is to be expanded in a future update.
-For chapter 4, for london branch, started adding in start of a shadow encounter scene, that delves a bit into the prots unique relationship with the history of the world. This scene is to be expanded in a future update.
-Adjusted sanity var to start at value 94, as it had accidently been placed to low to begin with; wanted it a little bit low due to the trauma from the sigil, the loss of her father, and the whole outer world spirit thing, but not so low that she starts greatly troubled.
-Adjusted vitality decrement for advancing time and walking to make it less likely for the prot to collapse; in future updates I plan to adjust this further so the vitality check will only decrement when walking if a footwear check and walking skill check are failed.
Now, all in all, this is a relatively small update. To be honest, if you have played the game recently, it’s iffy if it’s worth your while to play this update just now, as not too much has been added or changed. However, if you haven’t played any of the last couple updates, then I’d say over all a lot has been changed and added.
For those that don’t feel like playing the latest update, that perhaps are waiting for more to be added before playing again; fair enough. Now, I did want to recommend a similar game to those that are looking for a bit of a sorceress romance piece → Scarlet Sorceress (full beta open, 372k words), Romance, High-fantasy
While a bit different from my game, as this is more of an Otome vs the regency / sword & sorcery mashup I have going on, I’d still recommend it for those that are looking for something fun to play while waiting for me to do more thorough updates to Sense & Sorcery
While I still have you here, I did want to release one more poll. This one is a simple one; though all image files seem to display correctly on cog demos and the pathways seem to be correct, I can never view the various images in my games. I had a similiar problem with another game that just turned out to be my computer - so I was wondering, are any of you able to see the images in the game, or do these not display for you either?

So, what is to come next? Well, I’m hoping to have some sort of poll summary and discussion post to be added in post in maybe a few weeks. I’d kind of like to summarize the results of past and recent polls, both for myself and for those interested in the direction the game takes. However, the game itself is going to be on hopefully a short haitus, as next up on my docket is to do an update for All the Way then to be followed by an update for Dice & Dungeon Masters . . . after that, work shall continue on for Sense & Sorcery - once more, direction and whats to come next for this game to be further indicated in a post probably a few weeks from now.
