Congrats!

When you choose who you helped/what you helped in when Saturn Nine is talked about in Chapter 2 both the Manfred and Damon options boost Database, even though the Damon option would make you believe it would boost Calculation. Not that major of a thing but it could make some more min-maxing players scratch their heads.

Also obviously congrats, this game is a breath of fresh air and it’s nice to see it actually got to be a HG title.

are you planning a sequel? the ending gave that impression. other than that, congratulations.

Is it possible to recruit lisa and renfri to the station? I feel like it would make sense for them both to join us

Not so much a sequel but the next game takes place in the same world

I will have that fixed in the next patch. One we can hopefully push tomorrow.

There are nine endings, some of them nigh-impossible to follow up. I don’t want to make any of them non-canon, and I’m frankly a bit tired of Saturn at this point, so I’m extremely unlikely to ever write a continuation.

My other game takes place after Saturnine chronologically, but it’s not exactly a sequel. Just another story set in this grimderp universe.

Either of them can join the Saturn Nine crew in the epilogue, under the right set of conditions, but no ending lets you recruit both.

I think I ran into a bug at the end, with the epilogue:

I was romancing Lisa and became the vessel for Dusk, and when I got to the epilogue it seemed to believe I was dating Renfri. She came out to the station, said she’d won the fight against Lisa and wanted to join up with us.

Well that was just an incredible work. It’s the least of what you got right but I will say I admire the restraint of writing an AI story in a setting featuring both mythical creatures and Bayes worshipping rationalists and not including any sort of basilisk.

About to start my second playthrough.

Will not be satisfied until I absolutely fry Hammon with force lightning. Was a little annoyed sacrificing an entire planet to the techno-devil wasn’t enough to get the bastard. But my one question is if it is possible to convince the meta trio (or at least Lisa, the other two can go screw) to run away with you at the end on Rhea.

I should also report two continuity errors I encountered:

In the flashback sequence my human owner is a woman but when I encounter Dusk impersonating the character, it’s a man. Then at the end despite very clearly perishing on Rhea, Lisa’s somehow at my birthday party.

Heh. I actually have a robot basilisk in my other game, and it does reference the thing you’re thinking about. It’s just that Saturnine already has one big monster, and it would be difficult to shove in another.

There are several ways of talking the Trio into complete retreat. On most playthoughs, you should have at least one of those readily available.

Hi! Was reading through this thread and I have a question (it’s kinda important to me) does the MC gender get randomly flipped? Or is it optional and the player has complete control over it? Tbh, I’m very uncomfortable with gender flipping of my MC (personal mental health issues of mine) and it would be a complete deal breaker.

You’re in control of it and its optional

I should’ve specified that I’m talking about flashback (I saw it called ā€œoriginal genderā€ up above). Are we in control of that as well?

Oh. No that ones random. My bad, totally forgot about that

You get to decide the PC’s gender. However, there’s a very brief flashback scene in which the PC’s body type is randomized (either male or female), underscoring that before they gained free will, they weren’t in control of their body or identity. There’s also a reference to the PC having taken on masculine, feminine, and androgynous appearances over their centuries on the run.

Aside from the flashback, you are always in control of your gender identity, presentation, and body type throughout the game. But in the flashback, you aren’t.

Thanks for the reply. That’s kinda sad. I’ve already purchased the game and was here just to learn about the ROs and now I don’t think I’ll be able to play it, cos i don’t want to be triggered playing a game that I wanna play to have fun. Very disappointing.

I see. Thank you for the through reply. That’s very triggering to me. I wish that was specified in the description, at least in trigger warnings or something.

You might be able to get a refund? I’m not sure if the policy has changed recently, but it could be worth emailing the support team about it

I mean… the third page of the game specifies what kind of body your MC used to have. Having a warning against something the story (and the free demo) signals in advance strikes me as redundant.

It’s also randomized, so if you don’t like what the game rolled for you, you can just click the reset button and return to that point. It shouldn’t take you more than a minute to get the ā€œpast genderā€ you want. It’s probably easier than calling steam support, let alone hosted games support.
