Thank you both! My MC joined the Student Council but I felt I don’t see much of Beaumont. I probably need to read it again because I might be misremembering it. ![]()
Wow on my end it was the exact opposite as I found Beaumont to be the most boring of all the ROS, her family connections were interesting but the overall subject was little explored, the direct link of her storyline with the sports club(that for me was one of the weakest side activities in the game) just didn’t cut it out for me.
Beaumont felt unassuming and secondary even when playing their route, it is in general kinda sad those were my conclusions with her storyline but really struggled to connect with the character.
For me Beaumont worked better as an aloof friend than a sweetheart for my lad.
I was wondering if anyone had a romance guide because it seems like we can romance more than one character successfully and dont have to only choose one in chaoter 9.
Beaumont and Trevelyan can be romanced together. Javi and Dominique can be romanced together. Dominique can be romanced alongside either Beaumont or Trevelyan.
Please see the first post by Hannah on all the relationship combinations and which are feasible.
Ok i found it after searching for a bit thanks for letting me know.
Perhaps it’s appropriate that this post is later than intended, given Dominique’s time-keeping abilities, but here is a post about writing Dominique!
Random trivia: I did a lot of shuffling around of names and surnames when I was first figuring out the characters, and Dominique’s surname was going to be Hyacinthe’s at one point. Also: when I was deciding what pet Dominique should have, I researched some of the most difficult-to-train pets of each type and assigned them to Lightning, because Dominique thought Lightning was cool/adorable and didn’t think it through.
Remember a few months back when, for some reason, people were discussing what kind of dog each character would be, and I asked which one was the pug of the group, and you said Dominique? This is 100% accurate. Dominique is basically a human pug. I actually didn’t like Dominique much at first, because the endearing qualities of pugs don’t necessarily translate well to non-infant humans, but Dominique’s guileless enthusiasm won me over. I still probably wouldn’t be close friends with a person like Dominique in real life, let alone fall in love with one, but that’s the fun of trying on other lives.
Do you have an idea in mind of what sort of person Dominique will be when they’ve matured a bit more? Or are there still too many factors at play in Dominique’s development to see the future at all clearly?
I entirely understand - Dominique isn’t very mature even for someone of that age, and not everyone will be fond of them straightaway (or ever, heh!). It’s fun that you ended up finding an MC who enjoyed their good qualities!
I don’t entirely have a sense of future-Dominique at the moment - it’s a little nebulous and I think I need a bit more distance from the events of the game to be able to “zoom out” and see the bigger picture for them and their life, if that makes sense. I wonder how they’d interact with characters from elsewhere in the setting too…
I’m giggling over here remembering that dog conversation now!
I’d say Asher is a golden retriever. Beaumont is a Doberman pinscher. Dominique is a pug, of course. Hyacinthe is an Afghan hound. Javi is a poodle. Trevelyan is a pit bull.
I like that thought!
Can you get rid of Fabien and still be on good terms with the queen at the end? Hate that guy.
You can. I know because I had her get rid of him, and still got the achievement for being in good terms with the Queen. Don’t know if you can blow the lid on the whole thing and still make it, though.
Yeah, I said he needed to make a public apology and the queen got all mad. Will try another option next time.
Honestly wish I could tell the queen the other shit he’s done, like sabotaging my relationship with Javi, which honestly in the long run could have hurt the country way more than anything else. Dude needs to be gone.
She knows what Fabien did was wrong, and although she’s sad to let him go, she’s not blaming you for that, but she wants to set things straight with as little fanfare as possible.
Ah, yeah, don’t know if you can still manage it if you go that route.
Ironically, at the point the conversation takes place, the Queen is no longer all that keen on you and Javi getting together.
True, I dont get with Javi anyways. Gotta scandalize society by getting with Asher, but still, it was a terrible idea at the time he did it.
I’m getting with Beaumont and TREVELYAN, the latter of which pretty sure beats Asher in not only scandalising society, but also setting it on fire and using the ashes to choke whatever remains. ![]()
The real real scandal in that sentence isn’t “Trevelyan,” it’s “and.” This isn’t Jezhan, you know!
…what a waste of a good pun!
While poly marriages aren’t recognised, poly relationships are. On the other hand, you’re a prince, the Crown is opposed to universal suffrage, and Trev is the face of the movement for universal suffrage and gets upset every time you point out they’re named after the queen. They’re as close to an enemy of the Crown as you can get without actually BEING an enemy of the Crown.
I’m always up for puns, please elaborate.
