Your closest classmate will offer first, but if you turn them down you can choose whomever else you want.
Yeah Beaumont offered me,I refused but Dominique is shown as the only option
Thanks I will check it out now!
Thatâs a little weird! I was able to choose Javi in my playthrough. Are you playing from a save? Some of the code might have broken if you didnât start from the beginning!
@Death_Knight That was a rather niche bug that only came up if you did those specific steps, thank you for mentioning it - itâs fixed on Dashingdon now!
Oh, Riese is SPOILED for choice now⌠
Riese winks and waits paitently, while Remy bounces up & down in excitement.
@HarrisPS âŚI hope you know the chaos that you have caused with adding new ROs to the mix.
Hello. I love the writing and the plot of the game. However there is a bug that keeps coming up in Chapter 2 if we go to the kitchen with Javi.
Hello, thank you so much for reporting this! Can I check whether you got this after using a saved game or whether it was after starting fresh from the beginning?
Edit: I think Iâve figured out the issue - it should now be fixed but please let me know if that happens again!
I used a saved game. I had saved the game at the beginning of Chapter 2.
First, I want to say I am really enjoying Royal Affairs as a sequel to CdlC. I think you have a nice mix of of new NPCâs, new stats and new setting in Archambault mixed with the familiar pattern of dinners, dances and sports days that the two schools share.
When I first played the demo, I wanted to compare Beaumont to Hartman or Dominque to Max. So, I think that the reader might step into the sequel and want to label the NPC as being like X from the previous game. As a result, the reader might wonder why Beaumont is sporty or Dominque is interested in student council. So I might suggest the MC might want to query Beaumont/Dominque/Javi on why they are interest or motivation in a particular club.
Last, the Hearthlight Festival is coming up and Prince Hugh would feel quite sorry for Beaumont all alone in their gigantic mansion without any family for the entire holiday. Perhaps he might go and cheer her up or invite her to one of the many parties at the palace.
Happy Hearthlight
@HarrisPS
Normally, I am not at all fond of the tsundere archetype. However, in the new interactions with Javi, I have grown to like them, and not just because I want both of my MCs to marry into the same family (and be sisters in law). Kudos!
Ah Iâm so glad! That means extra considering youâre not usually into that sort of romance
I love this wip. At first I feel kinda sad because I thought I canât continue romancing my favorite RO in Creme de la Creme. I am so attached to the previous game characters. But the new characters are as interesting as them. Beaumont and Javi are intriguing. Beaumont reminds me of Gonzalez. I love Spark, too.
Do we have a discord for royal affairs or CDLC?
No - just my Tumblr currently!
@HarrisPS, hope things are going well. Just had a thought: would it be possible in the future to have a map of Westerlin within the game setting, along with a world map, so that we may be able to know more about the world of your creations as well as the International affairs, politics and geography?
Thank you! Progress has been a bit of a washout through January due to a national lockdown and various other things meaning that I got very burned out. Iâve been taking some actual rest and feeling more like myself which is just what I needed!
I love the idea of a map! I have a bit of geographical knowledge but Iâm not much of an illustrator. Maybe one day!
Ahhhhh ajdfbsdjzksfjghajak I have no words for this!
Creme de la Creme was my first ever CoG book so it holds such a special place in my heart. And now thisâŚit makes a girl want to weep with joy. I love how much wider the scope is of this book. And I look forward to seeing exactly what sort of Constitutional monarchy (if it can even be called that) Westerlin is.
I want to play as a very âproperâ princess, who is unfailingly polite and kind, but Iâm already struggling because Javi is getting on my nerves. I love how different all of the characters are. In only a couple of chapters, youâve fleshed them out so well! And I one day hope to become the head of an academic institute so that I can also wear a fancy dressing gown and pass it off as formal robes. (Gosh, I wish there was fanart for this kind of shiz.)
I had a question about Asher. Everyone keeps calling them our âservantâ and I hate the word so damn much! I hope weâll be able to call them something else? I also love how theyâre a bundle of nerves, and you can have a playthrough where youâre taking care of them as much as they, of you. And Coffeebean is the BEST name for a dog, ever! But can our dogs not sleep in our beds? Keeping them in the kennels seemsâŚcruel to me. Dogs shouldnât be separated from their families for lengthy periods of time. ![]()

Ummm and what else? I had a lot to say. There are very few writers out there who can evoke very powerful images and even tactile sensations in the reader and I felt like I was living and breathing Archambault. (Which I have pronounced as Arc-em-bolt for two years, thank you very much.) Anyway aaahhhhh Iâm dying and I need to read more!
Also will other characters make appearances every now and then? I ADORE the fact that Florin got shipped overseas to serve in the military, hehe. And of course Rosario got married. I wonder if weâll ever get to hear what Max and Delacroix are up to (they should still be in a happy poly relationship with my CdlC MC).
Also is anyone else feeling guilty while romancing Asher? Iâm nudging them to become bolder in the hopes that there isnât too much of a power imbalance, but a small part of me also feels like this is a very, very bad idea.
Edit: I finally read the whole thread and okay, it makes sense that most CdlC MCs wonât make an appearance since theyâre busy doing their own thing. Iâm still holding out hope that Max causes some sort of scandal, though.
Whaattttt? Now this sort of enemies to lovers trope I can DEFINITELY get behind. Vive la revolution! I can also think of a couple of nobles and bratty royal heirs from neighbouring nations who should have a date with Madame Guillotine. (Seriously though, can any historians confirm that Charles I was beheaded because he wasnât giving the Parliament enough autonomy?)
Canât remember much on it but didnât Oliver Cromwell sign Charles death warrant then after the trial end up disbanding Parliament and naming himself Lord Protector
Oh thank you so much! Guess Iâll have to go read up on Cromwell properly now. Wikipedia, here I come!
Can the protagonist take the throne in this game?
