I get a vibe that Maddox is 100% going to pass out if we have to do a tour. We’re going to be in Chicago playing at the United Center and he’s going to slump over.
We’ve yet to have to do multiple gigs + travel in quick succession. He was struggling with our Rituals at one point.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he does a Lemmy. (Meaning taking speed just to stay awake but he’ll crash hard later once that wears off)
I feel like it could be the first one as the MC isn’t mentally reliable to drive a car. Hell, I wouldn’t even trust the MC to drive either.
I find it interesting that Maddox doesn’t have a relationship bar. It could be because he’s not romanceable, but I take it like his story is set in place and can’t be altered by MC no matter how close they get. I feel that fits in with a death by overdose sooner rather than later. Kind of depressing, honestly.

Stevie like that and I head canon my MC’s singing style as similar as early Ronnie James Dio with Angel as the Dimebag/Randy Rhoads…
We would be gods. I’m still trying to figure out the right voice for Zima and honestly, I kind of can see Maddox as our Keith Moon. It reminds to be seen about Fatima in the future though.
Haley Williams from Paramour is a good voice for my MC.
I wouldn’t trust Zima behind the wheel either yet Zima drives a car however, even if it is an alleged car at best. I figured my mc just hasn’t bothered yet because both driving lessons, the exam and a car cost money that he doesn’t have. However once mc does get a bit wealthier that calculus kind of flips a bit because it then becomes cheaper and potentially more fun to drive yourself. Because otherwise to have a driver available 24/7 all year long you’d have to employ at least four of them.
Which, if mc truly shouldn’t drive, fair enough but that does mean transportation will become a bit of a headache for my mc in the early days of fame before he becomes, hopefully, wealthy enough to employ numerous personal assistants who double as drivers because having to use uber or cab services with ever changing drivers once he is famous enough to be recognized would be hell for my socially anxious mc.
The studio will pay for a driver and if they base you in New York you can use public transit.
I’m pretty sure they’re going to have us in LA in the future. I think I’ve seen a mention of that before where Angel was talking about the band moving into a house together. Not the one that we’ll move in soon but the second one when we get bigger.
When that happens, I think Leto Records or Kalena might be getting us our own personal drivers
This update was so much fun to read, the writing is captivating as always and I think I can say this is my favorite WIP. It’s not the premise or the choices (which are all great) it’s the characters, the dialogue and emotions and realness of it all (with plenty of humor). TBH I was nervous to read again because I remember the deep feels I had the first time around and it’s spring and sunny, but of course I dove in anyway, it did not disappoint. So refreshing to read again with more amazing story progression, even if you made a tear fall on a spring day. I played a few routes and they’re all fun but I think for my cannon route I’m gonna be an Angel-mancer. He’s a hot, awkward dork and I love him.
Not the New York subway, not if my socially anxious mc actually becomes famous being mobbed there at rush hour would be an absolute nightmare. 
But that will only take mc to wherever the studio allows them go and whenever the studio allows it, which means transportation would still be a real problem for mc.
I think once that happens the mc can probably get his own driver(s) too. The difficult stretch is when he’d be famous enough to be widely recognizable but not so famous to be able to afford a personal staff. That is when not being able to drive himself would be a real friggin problem.
I’ve heard people in New York don’t usually give a fuck about famous people..?
I want to point out most New Yorkers would be intrigued but probably won’t bother you because they understand you just want to fucking not be bothered.
That is a relief however two things to note there, while extremely good looks like the mc has are a boon in most situations, rush hour in public transport is one situation where it is a drawback, particularly with how super distinctive the mc seems be, courtesy of their non-expressive face. Couple that with my mc’s social anxiety and being in an underground subway extremely squeezed in must be a bit like hell.
Finally finished the update and just wanted to say it was phenomenal, I love your story so much and really am super excited to see it continue!
@girlfromthecrypt recently got the chance to play the update and you continue to weave your story expertly the care and effort you put forth shows. An with out a doubt in my opinion your wip could easily be in the top 3 of all active wips.
The highs and the lows of the characters can be felt and understood in ways that hit into the heart of the human condition. That i believe can speak to the majority of us an i had to pause at times an really soak in the moment of reflection before pressing on. For while so different there were moments that were so similar to events in my past that brought out emotions so easily. Well done and i continue to look forward to what you will give us next to enjoy.
Hey all, first I wanna say thanks for all the warmth this update has been received with. I’m really behind on my activity here and on Tumblr now with the feedback that’s come trickling in; and due to irl obligations, it may take a few days to implement all the fixes that are necessary. And besides, I wanna give it a moment before I come in with another revision and bust everyone’s saves again. By the way, thanks to everybody who’s alerted me to errors etc., that was mostly on Tumblr but also here, sooo… I just wanna say I really appreciate it.
It’s going to be epic when we rock the Garden (MSG) in NYC. Have to catch a Knick’s Game as well.
