P.E.A.C.E. - A WIP Science Fiction Crime Mystery

!! My thread is on the front page again!

Hi Ada, I’m very glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Unfortunately I had a bit of a lull in productivity over the Christmas period, and since then haven’t had an easy time getting back into writing. In fact, the other day, when I finally managed to sit down and start writing again, there was a power outage, and I lost what progress I had made. Some luck I have.

However, I have no plans to stop working, and I believe that as soon as I can start again, I’ll pick up the momentum to keep going.

But, to be honest, the next update is still a ways away. It will be a very sizeable update however, contributing perhaps a fourth of the whole game (which will cover day 1 of the investigation). I encourage you to keep an on me though. I will try my hardest to get things done as quickly as possible.

Thanks for your feedback

Thank you. I will keep my eyes open and I wish you best of luck. >:D<

Good story, it’s well written and intriguing and left me wanting for more (and I really want to question that reporter) .

Noticed two things, apart from that I didn’t see any mistakes:
“Your car exists from the priority lane and moves towards the opposite edge of the street, near the city walkways.”
Little typo, should be “exits” instead of “exists”.

Upon entering the office of the victim, it tells me the time twice:
"You check the time. 7:20am. You have until 7:45am to search the office, hopefully find as many leads as possible, and get out.

The time is now 7:20am. "
Seems a bit redundant at that point.

Hello Nasdaxow! I’m happy you liked it.

Thanks for pointing out those, I have now fixed them.

I’d just like to let everyone know that I have started writing again. I’m hoping to make it a regular thing, with progress made each day. Stay tuned!

Error: line 90: label ‘1’ already defined on line 89
Scene: crimeSceneZCM

Hi @DreamWalker, when exactly did you encounter this error? After selecting the dialogue option “We haven’t had a kidnapping in years. Let alone anything involving someone of this stature.” ? Or elsewhere?

I haven’t been able to reproduce the error. Furthermore, I have not repeated the label 1. In fact in line 89 it isn’t even used.

If you try again, doing the same thing, do you get this error again?

Thanks.

@Saracenar
If you have a blank line before a *label, it has a tendency to produce occasional “label already defined” errors. Getting rid of the blank line should fix the problem.

Ah. I did have a blank line there. It should be fixed now. Thanks!

@Saracenar yea sorry, trying to hack the computer at the mo, refuse to let it defeat me lol but next time il pay more attention where/how i got it, just got the error report and thought it would be best to forward it to you, sorry
