One Knight Stand - King Arthur x Among Us Apocalyptic Road Trip (WIP 1.2M+ words)(UPDATE 12/1/25 74k+ - Scouting the Heist)

Hoping to get the website published late next month.

We’re looking at around 60,000 words at release. 30,000 of those words just covering Arthurian characters and other related information.

I haven’t tested how well these pages will show up on desktop and mobile, but here’s a few more glimpses at the site.

Does anyone have any site names? Still looking for suggestions.

images

Merlin-ception or the ability to hover over a page link and read it. Infinitely, I guess.

I am trying to summarize the characters as much as possible. Don’t let Arthur or Lancelot (or Morgause, or Morgana, or Gawain–) entries fool you. Most are this short. Sort of.

I have no idea what to add here for the description.

One Knight Wiki. Short and simple.

Maybe a heading for extra facts about an item or person can be “Cassandra’s Notes”

I love naming gimmicks. One of the reasons why I use “see: XYZ” is because one of the very first links you should see is “see: you in 2030” or “see you in 2030”. That’s literally it, haha.

That said, I really do want to add that suggestion, but what if we actually get to see Cassandra’s notes? Then I’d have to fix it. Unless…

Lastly, I adore One Knight Wiki. I guess this is kind of a wikipedia, if a little jerry-rigged. It’s a nice nod to the game’s wordplay; both One Knight Stand and Midsummer’s Knight Dream.

Hey, I’ve got some website updates.

I’ve been neglecting light mode largely because of my partial blindness–I can’t see anything when it’s on light mode (light background, dark text). If it’s looking weird, you’re going to have to be patient with me. I’m told the white background is an off-white color, to try and reference old parchment paper.

light and dark mode

Dark mode’s theme is blue(s) to reference the blue rose. Light mode’s theme is red not just because King Arthur, but because the rose gets bloodied.

Next, because I love how the author changes the narrative depending on if its the past or present. So, some of the past website pages and Camelot characters get a nice, little medieval theme added.

theme

Also depicted: something fun I did for me, where I tally up the rumors from what I’ve read in Arthurian media and what One Knight Stand mentions and pretend I’m a person spreading a rumor. I have to have my fun somehow. Anyways, if Merlin says a rumor is false, it is also noted.

When the author references Arthurian media, so long as I know it, I’ve added in a quick reference and description. For the comments asking about where to begin with Arthurian media, this is also a good place to start. I’ll admit, I don’t have much of a grasp on Fate Stay Night or Grand Order. Eventually I’ll catch up. One day…

media

An early version of the cards. Click anywhere on a card to see more. Or an underlined link, if I link it on a page.

The search option… can search. I think it works well enough….

Currently at 44000/60000 total words added and linked on the website. I’m trying really hard to keep my notes and silly theories short! Afterwards, I have to spend time testing it across devices.

Lastly, the website will still get updates once published.

The beginning of the story is so much fun, I don’t even mind starting over.

Also, @myeraland , will you compile a list of the choices that set you on “easy mode” (here for the story, not the trauma) and “hard mode” (full spectacular clusterf*ck)?

Getting the demon mark removed during the loredump cuts down on the creepiness by a lot, and lets you avoid two demon attacks. So it’s definitely a choice that sets you on easy mode.

Oh, great point. I only have all the hard mode warnings. Will add easy mode tips.

Lucky(?)! Due to extreme photosensitivity, light mode, in no better words, flash bangs me. I have to invert all light mode images just to read.

No need for an omen when the foreshadowing already fired off.

I’m sure a bunch of people are looking forward to that!

The FAQ includes links to all known guides. There are two of them [1, 2] for protecting Merlin’s dance (which is what saves the apartment building).

Otherwise, everything in the WIP subforum (as opposed to the Hobby Project subforum) is intended to publish through Hosted Games (or Choice of Games) which always releases an Android/iOS version of their games. The WIPs won’t be appearing in any apps until after they’ve been published, however.

Hey, half-blind buddies high-five! *may or may not accidentally miss the high-five and slap you in the face instead* Although I’ve got the opposite problem where I have trouble reading stuff in dark mode.

A Tumblr post from about a week ago made me think about a timeline question. At the time of the accident, the youngest driver was fifteen, while the earlier post said that the drivers were slightly older than the reborn human Harbingers. This would mean that a non-Amnesia MC was younger than fifteen when the accident happened.

Amnesia MC’s actual age is unknown, but their biological age seems to be the same as the Harbingers who were born in 2005. When Amnesia MC was found, their biological age was in the mid-to-late teens, so if Serial Killer MC has the Amnesia background, the accident would have taken place after the MC was biologically fifteen. However, regardless of the MC’s background, the text still states that the youngest of the drunk teenage drivers was fifteen, which appears to contradict what the earlier post said about the drivers’ ages.

Has the age setting for the drivers been changed at some point? I’m not sure whether this is a bug or if I’ve missed something myself.

The default version of the accident is the family one with the Erwin-variation basically being a way for someone to jump aboard the Serial Killer train without having to choose the accident childhood.

All replies on Tumblr will be assuming the family accident background unless it’s explicitly mentioning Erwin. The Erwin timeline should still be similar to the family accident one, except for the Amnesiac, but it’s way too much effort to use entirely different people for a variation of a variation, so the culprits are always the same in all timelines.

The key takeaways are…

  • The people in the (other) car were all juveniles, hence not being tried as adults and getting a slap-on-the-wrist equivalent for the accident

  • They are not the exact same age as the MC (older in most cases, probably younger in the Amnesiac’s case)

  • Anything said on Tumblr may very well be changed in the actual final version of the game

Thanks for the stats!

The site is on pace to be published this February. Just editing and testing now.

There was so much more I wanted to add, but it’ll have to be in the future.

Since I’ve hit the 60000 word count, there’s no need to post updates here anymore. :slightly_smiling_face:

@Notice_me_senpai I’ve been wondering since you shared your Camelot backgrounds spreadsheet, if most of the 16 variables are either red herrings, reverse scored, or another hypothesis I have. Has the Discord made any theories about them?

Nope, not much discussion about the variables. You should share your thoughts here, maybe it would prompt some!

So like can I be Mordred

That’s a big ol maybe!! You will be one of four Arthurian characters. 2 men and 2 women as options. But we don’t really know what the options are

I’m afraid Patreon content is making it look unlikely Mordred will be an option.

I have… a lot to say about them. I was wondering if it would be something to add to the website at some point, since I would need to attach spreadsheet images I made.

I guess, I can say for now, I think instead of roleplaying which character you want to be, it may be more helpful to roleplay the Camelot character from the author’s interpretation of said character.

But, I don’t know, it’s hard to say anything based on one dream. And the author mentioned needing to readjust the variables at some point. :face_with_spiral_eyes:
