Also I am now imagining Broderick’s reaction to Percy and a 30+ Cuckoo MC that are friends. I think he’d turn saboteur from the abnormality alone.
@Unregistered a bug in 2-5: I have both Fakescalibur and the multitool, but when I decide to bring a weapon, it does not let me choose between them, and assumes I chose Fakescalibur (and that’s my only weapon).

And here’s another preview from Chapter 2-6 (aka Dead Ends R Us) that I never got around to posting anywhere.
Since another synonym for television set/TV screen is “TV monitor”, I think the flip should be generic enough, just as long as the monitor is never described as “computer monitor” or “PC monitor” which would cause a continuity error.
I don’t see it being tagged as “computer monitor” in the code, but anyone LMK if they find any instances of that.
By “bread”, do you mean toast or I-forget-the-breakfast-options at this point? All the breakfast options would trigger fed, however. No later drinks-only should trigger it, though, outside of like smoothies and such.
Also fed is triggered by the potato chips, cake, anything you can get from the weird Dilworth Park café, the fae ice cream truck, and the Espresso shop.
Yes, the “Demo” (aka the first free chapters that CoG allows the reader to play before you hit the pay wall for the full game. Once the game gets submitted for publishing, that’s the only part publically available anymore) is for promotion only on Itch.io
I’m basically using the itch.io version (which will cut off in the middle of Chapter 4 which is pretty typical for CoG demos) to direct itch.io-only players to the Public Open Beta on my website (which would be the version of the game all of you would be more familiar with).
The Open Beta (for public beta testing) on my site will be going longer than four chapters… to probably about 2/3rds of the way through the game before it switches to the Closed Beta only for the final 1/3rd.
I’d let the Open Beta run for longer than that, but I fear the reviews for the official published game would get swamped by complaints that someone played nearly the entire game for “free” and then there wasn’t anything more available in the published version.
The Closed Beta is currently just the Open Beta available one month ahead of the general public on Patreon. Once the Open Beta is closed, I’ll also let some people who have been helpful with the beta-ing process have access to the Closed Beta.

Looks like that’s caused by the multi-tool being designated as equipment instead of a weapon when you pick it up in Chapter2-2. I’ll edit that and hope that doesn’t cause a bug with something else between Chapters2-2 and 2-5.
Otherwise, it’ll be fixed by the next update, but you’ll probably have to load a save before Chapter2-2 to see the change.

Ah. Those breakfast options. He did eat baked eggs that morning pre-rest stop and pre-Percy.
That being said, I now wonder if Fakescalibur will turn out to not be Excalibur, but another legendary sword in disguise. Or it will become enchanted somehow.

Granted, the flip didn’t register to me until I actually read the code, so I figured I’d mention it just in case.
But I actually hit something weirder now - I’m at the gas station store, picked the waterproof matches as my first option, and now Adrian is acting like he dropped the lighter earlier during the blackout, even though this MC doesn’t even smoke.

I have a minor question about the website. For context, I’m an Arthurian lore newbie (maybe even worse than a newbie), so I started taking notes so I could understand what the heck was happening. Below is one of the most recent categorization of just the Arthurian content I’m tracking.

Below are 15 folders about King Arthur related stuff. You have major characters (the 13 most identifiable characters), notable minor characters, allies, enemies, neutral, items, battles, media, welsh folklore, 5th century geography, quests, linguistics, politics and rumors, and, finally, unsorted.
I’m worried it’s overwhelming for the rest of you. Should I only publish the characters on the website and keep the rest private? Or would you all want to see all the stuff I’m keeping notes on? Or somewhere in between?
It’s alright to be picky here; if you’re using the website, it only makes sense that you get something out of it. Besides, the less things I have to worry about makes getting the site published and tested faster.
However, having more information will help you out whenever you return to the Dream sequences or chat with Arthur/Merlin, etc.

I’d be curious to see it all. I’m probably Arthurian = 2 IRL, but I’ve scoured Merlin’s Guide very thoroughly in search of clues, and I’d do the same with the website.

I agree with Senpai. Based on the screenshots you show us I think it’s pretty coherent and put together so I don’t think it would be that hard to navigate! And also I’m really curious about other things that you took notes on, because I’m not really that good at retaining information and stuff myself so it’d be helpful to have information written down that I can defer to

I forgot that Lorelei has already shown up in the story (She was on tv), but same reason with Arthur………… if any other characters already shown up in the story please give it out….

Thanks for the heads up! I reshuffled the sequence of *ifelse statements there, so it should be falling into the correct flavor text after the next update.
Lorelei is definitely easter egg cameo level at this point, but you can actually spend a decent amount of time with Arthur if you follow him around for the entire dream sequence and then Lucid Dreamer MC triggers the talk with current dreamwalking Modern Arthur.
Still nothing like being trapped in the RV with Merlin, Adrian, and Percy the entire while, though.

Ice cream has shown up possibly three times now, and twice in 2-5 alone (Merlin serves ice cream cake, and there is possibly an encounter with a fae ice cream truck). I wonder if there will be an ice cream omen.
