What’s your opinion on Ethan Davis?
Other: I understand why he acts the way he does, but I also want to stick a knife into his eyes and carve out his tongue so he won’t do it again.

I liked the idea a lot. And the story was well done too. Hoping for future updates. One thing though, if u could add a choice to add drew as a romantic interest of the mc, it would definitely put more fire to the whole revenge thing. Anyways it was great …so keep up the good work…and a save option would be nice too.

If I have to say so myself, I quite like how it’s turning out! 
Drew is a very sweet character, I’m afraid to admit that they are probably the most affable and gentle of the lot! Even if they aren’t full ROs 
Sometimes I feel extremly bad for the direction the story is taking, because one of the initial ideas I had for the game was a slice of life, but that one didn’t have a lot of plot (and Drew didn’t exist back then). It’s such a shame what happens to Drew, because they have a lot of potential as a character, but in this case it’s impossible to change their fate 
Yeah, Davis does inspire a lot of emotions, most of them nowhere near positive xD Tragically, it’s not going to be the last time you have to deal with him, but he can change! Or you can try to use him for your plans, that’s a valid option too.

I’m currently working to add some romance options with Drew for the next update (October 31st), but for certain reasons, they can’t be a full-RO, unlike the other 6 planed routes. I would like to add a saving system, yet it’s currently impossible with the html format (different from other demos, where they upload the scenes). But I’ll work on a skip system where you can start from chapter 2 and so on once the demo is longer!
My, the prologue is getting longer than I planned; I fear it’s going to end almost as big as chapter 1!
I’m adding a lot of choices, specially if you take the confession path: I tried to give more options to the platonic route, but… as for now I’m unable to come up with good enough choices. I decided I’ll add them later; I can’t get too caught up with that part if I want to add the start of Chapter 2 AND revise Chapter 1. So much work and so little time.

Now, speaking seriously, I’ve been so sick these days and it seems by the time I’m back to the forum there has been a lot going on in this thread! I’m so sad that Drew is dead because, honestly, you’re making me ship them with MC so much!
I’m still eager to hear about the other ROs (ya know, the ones we can actually end up the story in a relationship with them :"( xD)
Romance apart, what are the other things you’re planning to write? Am I asking to much? Is this spoiler? Lol

Yay! I hope you can play as cold and manipulative. Just because I want to maim him, doesn’t mean I don’t want to kiss him.
One thing about that scene though, the shouting (was it “leave me alone!”?) was a bit incongrous to how I was thinking my mc’s personality would be, since neither he nor I ever raise our voices when we’re angry. We become calm, and even in some detatched way, parental? Is that too uh… abnormal to take into account when personalising dialogue?

I’m sure there are stories out there about romancing ghosts, specially now that Halloween is near! 
Definitely! It’s reaching the 15k mark, and Chapter 1 is 15,6k… I think the prologue is going to end up being bigger x__X
I also enjoy giving the player extra choices, but sometimes it gets way out of hand and I end up with 3000 extra words I didn’t plan 
It makes it hard to meet deadlines and/or equally good choices when you have the content but not the inspiration to finish it properly, so I sometimes have to cut/leave them for future updates.

I myself caught a very annoying cought I can’t quite shake off.
I don’t want to give a lot of spoilers, but Chapter 2 will be about the start of Drew and the MC’s bulling, gaslighting, paranoia and disturbing thoughts, among other things. The rest of chapters will have things like physical violence, disturbing thoughts, allusions to heavy harassment, a lot of negative feelings regarding people and oneself… A lot of things.
Even the ROs have some real issues going on, not all of them are equally angsty, but some handle very heavy themes.
Yeah, they are a possibility; specially manipulative, the MC needs to be quite underhanded with their plans, they can’t very well go and be straightforward with it if they don’t want to get caught.
Ethan Davis is not a romance option, he’s a lot older than the MC, who’s 17/18 during the game.
Oh, you’ll have to be a bit more specific, that scene is tricky and full of options If I recall correctly, there are plenty of calm options, but if you’ve gone for the most impulsive/aggressive ones, it’s only to be expected that the MC loses their temper. It’s also an extremely stressful event for the MC, so emotions are all over the place people can react out of character.
I get what you mean, but there will be always some sort of limitations, and what fits you will be game-breaking for others, or what you find weird will be okay for others, like @fisheye says. I can look into it, but sadly it’s not possible to tailor absolutely everything to everyone’s liking.

Will it go into further detail why Drew and MC was bullied? We never got to know the reasons

Thank you! To be honest, I’m still doing not so good but I’m better enough to at least have the energy neccessary for attending my french classes and generally getting out of the house.
I also wanna know! I don’t think it would be as simple as “Others bad, MC and Drew good” but maybe Drew or MC did something to them in the past)? Or they envy them? Also, I don’t think everyone hates them but maybe other people are just too afraid to intervene in the situation.

Yeah, and it doesn’t need to be something huge either. High schoolers can be picked on for simply sneering back at the wrong classmate, and then the verbal insults and clever comebacks can escalate into violence. Also I don’t know how smart Drew really is because MC has a twisted ideal image of them, but if they are as smart and intelligent as stated the reason could also be jealousy or social outcast. Maybe Drew had almost no time to spend or socialize with other students because of studying too much, which marked him as the weird lonely kid with no social life?

@Lycoris Ooh, nice. It’s going to be interesting to learn more about the MC & Drew’s relationship & background, especially why they were bullied so viciously, as many people have mentioned. 
Would it be too spoilery to ask if we can have little character intro profiles of the bullies like with the ROs?

I can always write short stories/what-ifs with Drew; some would be about the ROs’ pasts, Eddie’s point of view, Drew’s inner thoughts… So it’s not exactly out of the table! 
But a Ghost!AU would be quite nice, I can totally see that iconic scene with Drew and the MC, scene, right, @Vyndral? 
Chapter 2 will be more explicit with what happened in St. Mary’s, but you’re right; it scalated way too much (and too quickly) for what happened in the initial confrontation. And while it’s true that not everyone was against the MC and Drew, a lot of them acted as if they didn’t see anything wrong/it didn’t concern them, so no one did anything, making the bullies act bolder.
Yeah, that’s spoiler! I only want to introduce them in the story as they act to make the players’ reaction as visceral as possible, no external factors (like knowing why they joined the bulling or their circumstances) that might make them more sympathetic to people’s eyes 
The Update is live!
The update is fairly huge, adding +15k words to the demo! The details are listed in the changelog in the main post, but if you’re dying to know, I added the sleepover scene in the Prologue, two new scene in Chapter 1 and some extra choices (like decking Ethan Davis!) and the start of Chapter 2
The beginning of Chapter 2 is fairly short in comparison, but I thought it reached a good point to end it, or otherwise I wouln’t be able to update the demo on time. It brings some new people into scene, and shows the start of what happened to the MC and Drew in St. Marty’s, at the start of their freshman year.
I really hope you enjoy the update, and if you find a bug, a typo, or something strange going on, please tell me!
