Oh My Gosh! Did not see that coming. Im super excited to see where this goes. Might be my favorite WIP so far, the writing is just so good. Nick can’t be dead, we still have to set him up on a date…right?

I think @wildelight just pulled off one of the greatest cliffhanger updates I’ve ever seen. My MC is about to go all Rambo if his Saint Nick is gone :pleading_face::joy:. I’m officially hooked now, looking forward to more!

I just came here to say the same thing! Because I thought it’s what Sidestep would do. I literally gasped out loud when it occurred to me, lol.

Earlier I thought the bathroom trip might be this person just testing what they could do, but maybe they did that earlier with the humming? I wonder how long they’ve planned this, if they knew about Button before, or if they just took advantage of the opportunity as it happened?

I know Nick probably isn’t dead, but something really bad could still have happened to him considering he should be able to hear Button but doesn’t respond “for the first time in your life” :crying_cat_face: :crying_cat_face: :crying_cat_face: I also wonder how the other characters are and how many casualties there will be…

Didn’t notice any typos, but then again I was busy reveling in the awkwardness of the “we-need-to-talk” talk, then that whole evil, dastardly, fantastic cliffhanger.

This update was just a one-two punch to the feelings. So. Nicely done. Cruelly done, but also nicely. And the fact that it was foreshadowed makes me appreciate it even more. (But my poor depressed Button won’t take it well, I’m afraid.)

We probably shouldn’t get too off topic, but to clarify I was thinking more about the opening of the first game with Lady Argent. It’s really interesting to put yourself in the shoes of the other side of that dynamic here in Mind Blind.

that Sidestep is really scary.

But anyway, I do hope we can become like Batman. Saving, or avenging (hopefully not) the only character that made me consider digital incest (though ultimately rejecting it)
