Now my mc and Nat do have faceclaims but they’re not real people but AI generated images I found that just clicked for me. Maybe I’ll post them when I am back home in the new year.
Hi this is just a question I got for Merry Crisis (sorry if I sent the same ask on tumblr, I didn’t know which one to use). I was rereading the demo and I noticed the “entrepreneur” job option was gone. Is that on purpose or accident? Because my charisma main MC is kind of suffering lol
Aww…wanted to make one of those to romance Qiu, as the entrepreneur is somebody who could possibly live in Singapore without running afoul of the PAP in a way my indie artist mc simply cannot.
In any case I do have an actual suggestion, again, relating to the indie musician mc. And that is to change their US Visa from H1-B to O-1, as H1-B actually makes it impossible to be an artist of any sort and applies only to background jobs in the showbiz industry, such as talent management.
Here’s an article that explains that you do not have to be a world famous musician to be able to get an O-1 visa. Within the context of the game the mc could have used the one year grace period for recent graduates, not to mention using their spare time during their studies to play unpaid gigs to get enough of a foothold to possibly qualify for O-1 status. Some of the text for indie musician mc that they are starting to be able to headline at mid-sized nightclubs would seem enough to qualify as per the lawyer’s linked article.
Anyway just food for though, and imho better than having indie musician mc need to have a boring as shit job take up most of their time while not helping them with their actual career whatsoever.
In the prologue, I picked these options

Based on the code unless I sacrifice my job success, I can’t get my stats up above a 15 before all those stat checks in the next chapter. And most of them are charisma >18 even if I do sacrifice my job success the highest I got up to was an 18
Looking at the soccer player option, I have to laugh at my poor MC situation. New York City actually does have a first division team, in major league soccer, yet the poor dude is still living in a crappy apartment and has to pay half the rent
Eh, something to note for the next update and/or the beta, then. With as much coding as goes in to any of these games, it’s not unheard of that the math on some stats and checks ends up not quite adding up right.

P.S. whoa the detail on the musician thing is interesting, maybe I’ll see if I can add somewhere that MC might need to swap / apply for O-1 post-graduation, or just have MC be on the O-1 visa upfront.

@oldgrandpa7272 ya know, with all the messages I’ve got asking for the start-up CEO to be added back… I’ll do it next update haha. I just thought the other 3 routes would get actual extra scenes with the main characters and I couldn’t think of any extra scenes possible for CEO, but if y’all are prepared for that then who am I to deny y’all the fun, ey?
@Sujan_Dhakal HAHAHA well, to be fair, poor MC is not really a starter in the club at this moment, but on the cusp of a breakthrough! Here’s hoping they can impress the coaches enough this season to move into a better apartment (especially for those no longer dating Nat!) This actually will probably be part of the epilogue.

Just looking at contract negotiations because I’m more obsessed with this tiny detail than I really should be, you could clarify that the MC is playing for the reserve team, which would justify the monetary problems easily. And with winter being the off-season in North America, it leaves open an opportunity to get pulled up for the first team squad right when the epilogue should be
Actually, never mind that, forgot this game takes place in 2018 and that would’ve been before the reserve leak system was ever implemented, so just being a member on the first team who isn’t a starter works OK
