"Mask of the Plague Doctor" -- Stop a deadly plague with medieval medicine!

They aren’t happy endings, but I think they are good.
You can end the plague, save the city, and get out alive with your RO, to me it is a good ending.

Sorry, but if I may ask - is there an estimated age of Ioco? I’d say he’s in his thirties, but I’m simply curious because of his description at the beginning of the game and then later on.

finally got around to play it a few times.

So far, I was able to get 3 ending.

Summary

1- the town get burned by the crown. Dont ask me, I have no idea how tha hell that happen.
2- find a cure, and that mayor get replaced.
3- let the evil deity (Is there a good deity? or I’m just gonna waste my time looking for it?), and turn into an abomination worthy of NWN2 mask of the betrayer! (what? I,m the only one who had flashback of that one?) lol

Its a good game. I dont care much for the factions, and it’s a bit annoying and overwhelming…cose they are all talking at once, wanting your help roll eyes. But I would say, my biggest dissapointement would be : 1) only 3 romances? Urgh. 2) Romance being tied to the Mayor! double-Urgh that suck sooo bad! and 3) The romance can still ditch your ass in the end cose of the fellowship? Screw that…where was that deity adress again?

Other then that, it’s pretty solide story.

This is definitely one of my favorite CoGs. I kind of liked the fact that there was no ‘best’ ending. Makes the game more fun to replay as different personalities. My preferred one was where I supported the commie uprising, found a cure and vaccine and forgoed the Fellowship. I suppose the Fellowship is less attractive when you’re able to obtain it only after pandering to the evil Crown so much. All the ROs seem hell-bent on nudging your major decisions one way or the other, which was kind of a disappointment since I found it much more pragmatic to finish alone instead of bending over backwards all the time for them.

No romance is tied with who is the Mayor.

well…to get the fellowship…you gotta kiss up to the mayor. Be nice with the crown…so yeah, come down to the same.

But you don’t need to join the Fellowship to romance Alice.

but if you don’t get the fellowship, she ditch your ass.

also, lets blur the infos. Not spoil anyone…

She doesn’t. She only ditches you if you don’t she everything to the Baron. So you can remove Sibyl and present everything to the Baron, and Alice will stay with you even if you don’t join the Fellowship.

But doesn’t make the damn baron mad? and you gotta be nice and kiss up to him?

Spilling everything you found to the Baron ensures that Alice stays with you, but I just can’t lick the Crown’s ass with a clear conscience lmao.

If you found the cure and/or the inoculation and have 50 favor with the crown, the Baron will not get mad, he will just not give you the Fellowship invitation.

yeah but that’s the thing. I hate the baron, and the crown…

And if you don’t kiss up, you dont get the fellowship. If you don’t get it, Alice romance pretty much is screwed…which bring me to my 1st point: Stuck with romance tied to the faction or to some kissing up to someone.

Again… You don’t need the Fellowship, it is not necessary for the romance. She will only breakup with the MC if them hide the truth to the Baron.
If you say the truth she continues the romance, even if you are not invited to the Fellowship. So you can put anyone you want in power and still romance Alice.

But why would I tell the baron anything? that’s the point. Your romance is screw with her. I don’t want to share all my hard work, and the shenanigans of the town with that lazy ass of a baron. Hell, I don’t care for the fellowship either.

Btw…which faction take on the baron, if any? Cose, Ha man, I would love to see him kicked out of town lol.

That is another point, I was just saying that her romance is not tied to who is the Mayor.
And you have to remember that joining the Fellowship is her dream and this is the only chance she will ever have, so ft you want to romance her, you should care about her dreams.

The Baron dies in the Revolt ending, and if you have enough relationship with Alice, you can continue the romance in this end.

It maybe her dream, but it aint mine.

I like her romance, but there are some stuff I won’t do, if it goes against my morale compasse. Romance or not, if it mean it goes against what my Mc think and do, sorry. But dear romance, thats where our path go separate way, hurr durr…hear my butthurt! lol

You can still go full revolution and have your romance, just choose Alviva as Mayor.

I always choose Alviva anyway.

I imagined him as late 30s/early 40s, but severely weathered by medieval life. It’s deliberately left a bit vague, so you have leeway to read him as a bit older or younger if you wish.
