Oh, no, I do remember that part. I also remember when Adrian got ‘promoted’ to RO thinking to myself “Well, for those who’d been interested, this is great”
What I don’t remember is if I ever actually expressed the pov of them still being a bit of a pest after their morals about the MC were flipped from ‘exploiting parasite’ to ‘concerned guardian-figure’. I think they do that part well because of the real threat against the remaining supernatural beings of the world, but my MC meanwhile sees them as bit of a nuisance. He’s an actual meanie for no good reason, and that’s been fun to play as.
A lot of gender issues were fixed, along with repitition issues with sentences. (E.g if the MC would take off their shirt, John/Elizabeth would ask them to take it off again, mostly cause overlapping choices)
Lots of typo mistakes resolved!
Public update will be next week’s Thursday and Patreon Update will be the week after! (I’ll be updating chapter 5.3 so super excited about that!)
Hi hello! Sorry if I’m misunderstanding it and all, but when I was doing a play through with a male mc and flirted with Val enough, he still said he “doesn’t like how the mc makes him feel” during the scene that mc got tied up, but during the confession he got disgusted and said some stuff about gay people and whatnot. Now I just wanted to understand are they just not fully romancable when you’re playing as an mc with the same gender as them? Or is this a denial/more complicated situation? Either way I wanted to point out:
-if you choose (“You don’t, but you gave me what I planned." I lied. “You tied me up.”) then the scene plays out the same way as with Vivian & male mc, so that may very well be an error in both cases since it doesn’t make sense.
Once again I could very well be misunderstanding everything because i don’t really take context well and I haven’t read anywhere that their route is gender locked, maybe I didn’t look well enough. but um yeah he seemed pretty adamant on his homophobia (the “shower with hotter water to get ready for hell” made me laugh too hard) so I felt weird pushing and arguing about it with him that’s why I’m asking. And if this is not a gender locked or ‘straight’ route you’ve outdid yourself like a million times that would be REALLY good internalized homophobia display.
Hey, I just started reading your story and it seems really good, unfortunately I didn’t get very far through chapter 1, because my characters name just kept getting written as “unknown” when ever it should be used. I don’t know if it is a problem exclusive to custom made characters or if it happens with the pre-made characters as well. Just thought I’d let you know so you can hopefully fix it, because I would really like to keep reading and get further. The problem starts after the first choice of whether to see the thunder scene from your father’s perspective or from your own just after inputting your names.
So uhh, where exactly are you getting it from? I kinda checked chapter 1 and it’s not showing? First one is nickname, second is actual name, is there a specific choice you made?
I picked girl with she/her pronouns, custom name, no nickname and got “unknown”. After I picked all the same except custom name instead picking “Ashley” but giving her a nickname and also got the same problem.
Alright, so chapter 5.3 has been updated on Patron! The chapter is really important and explains M’s behavior which a few people have been asking or have been irked by. All of the RO’s have been introduced in this chapter and no further RO’s shall be introduced after this. (And with this, we have reached halfway through the book! )
Chapter 6 is now being worked on! It is currently at 1K words.
A total of 8K words were written with 1K words deleted.
It was mostly editing chapter 5.3 and more outlining chapter 6 and what’s going to happen further in the book.
I’m going to try to update chapter 6.1 the week after the next week!
I’m curious to see what we find out about Melissa, although I don’t think it will change my opinion of this little cutie. And, congratulations on reaching the halfway mark!
