Lost in your eyes (WIP) [February 4 2026 Update] [6 Ch, 260K words] [Vampires/Romance/Modern Dark Fantasy]

Hi, i liked the game and i liked the john romance, i’ll keep an eye out as you continue updating this game.
Although i didn’t mind the fact that Melissa is absolutely obsessed with us, why was there never a choice where i could tell her i rejected her simply because we’re both females? Unless there was and i missed it?

While you can’t reject her simply because you both are women, you can reject her.

Also Melissa will still be obsessed cause the MC is the only one in her life other then Vigil and Micheal.

Okay, so this is the poly option, I didn’t choose it.

This is the result: (Non poly route. M feels guilty just for talking to J/E without the MC’s permission (Yes, they’re very afraid of offending the MC))

(Ignore the stupid name, I realized that skipping to the latest chapter makes you not able to choose your own name and it took me 2 hours to fix cause I didn’t know what was causing the issue :weary: ) This is the only poly mention in the game, if the MC chooses poly route, John comforts Blaine but doesn’t do anything else.

Unless there’s another poly route that I’m missing, please do point out to me! >.<

Oh, I thought that time J calls M good boy (or girl I assume, idk, since my M is indeed a boy lol) and they blush was related to that. And also I thought they only hug if we chose the poly. (Oh man, I really don’t like J lol but you already know that :slightly_smiling_face: )

Ok, so nevermind, everything is as intended, i love this story!

The author might have wrote their scenes together assuming the readers are gonna choose poly everytime. It would explain the romantic tension between them.

edit: My comment above I deleted because feels it feels like its AI written. I tried to edit it, but it just doesn’t feel right. So take my takes with a grain of salt, because I kinda suck at writing myself.

Haha, I’ll be working on chapter 5.3 from tomorrow so there’s that!

Oh that is related to that, I don’t know why I wasn’t able to catch that during the rewrite, but thanks for pointing it out!!

Also yes, they only hug if we choose poly, or else M is SUPER suspicious of J/E. It’s only because of the MC in poly route do they actually warm up to them.

The author wrote their scene sleep deprived XD The romantic tension might’ve been the music I was listening to at the time, but yes, I’m rewriting both scenes.

Scenes like these are happening throughout the book, right now! You could even read my mistakes next. That is, unless you make the most important decision of your life. Prove to yourself that you have the strength and the courage to point out my mistakes (With a small quote to tell me what you think is wrong with it like Vanya did it. ETERNALLY THANKFUL TO YOU @Vanya )

Update time!

Chapter 5.2 has been fully rewritten. I’ll be updating it Tuesday. (Hopefully, just need to check for grammar and other mistakes).

Chapter 5.1 has also been updated publicly. Lots of errors were resolved.

There was an error where John/Elizbeth complimented Blaine without the MC choosing a poly route (Poly routes are only initiated by the MC, the characters do NOT have feelings for each other so if you find something like that, please do point out ^-^)

Other then that, that’s mostly it! I’ll be starting off on chapter 5.3 with a bang! Thanks for sticking with me through out this rewrite!!!

I knew you told me this before that’s why I was so confused, because those two moments still happened to me without me chosing the poly route. Anyway I’ll read it again and see if the hug happens with different choices because when I read it the hug still happened (maybe I chose something by mistake that flagged the poly route) and then let you know. :slightly_smiling_face:

I genuinely think I might have dementia with how easily I forget such important conversations :sob:

Also, the hug part was this one right? It was where M sends a letter?

Don’t worry! lol

Yeah, but right now when I skipped forward (the random name I gave myself is not as amusing as yours though  ) everything went as intended. I guess maybe I did chose something by mistake. Tomorrow I’ll start a new save and test it further.

Also when I skipped M didn’t blush anymore (and I really liked the no blush scene btw), which is strange because three days ago they did blush. Did you fix it already? Because if not maybe I really did make a mistake before :downcast_face_with_sweat: I guess I really need to start a new save and see if I did a mistake. I’ll inform you later.

I had it fixed, but I forgot to update it (Technically I was supposed to update it today with the Patreon release so I kinda updated it earlier )

Ok, so I started a new game and read it until the end and everything is great, so I guess before I made some mistake or chose something by mistake, so yeah, just so you know no more poly scenes for people who didn’t chose it. :slightly_smiling_face:

And btw, loved the update!

You have no idea how relieved I am :sob:

Also chapter 5.2 has been updated on Patreon! I shall be working on chapter 5.3 which will be the final part of chapter 5 before I move onto chapter 6.
I don’t know if any of you all have noticed, but each chapter signifies a change in the MC’s life and a change in settings so yeah! Thanks for sticking with me through out this rewrite!!

Update time!

Alright, so chapter 5.3 is smooth sailings atm. I’m working on the draft atm, so the word count is gonna be slow. It’s around 1.6K words.

Chapter 5.2 has been updated. There were a few changes in previous chapters like Solathis now being Female since Vigil is locked male, I thought one person should be locked female. Before you ask, yes you can romance them

That’s pretty much it. I’m so sleep deprived, I literally thought I sent this yesterday and I just came in and realized I haven’t.

Huh… That’s a, uh, choice. (Bad ending stuff?)

Not that it makes much difference to my long-term plans for the completed game, in all fairness. Even if they were choose-able, not sure I would ever have gone for Solathis, or Adrian. With the both of them now always being the opposite sex of my MC, that’s fully off the table, as he’s only interested in guys. He is always gay, and never straight, bi, or pan. Nor is he one of those kids who was ‘confused’ about it; while possible for some, that’s too restrictive, and not accommodating enough to be relatable for every player. Alex, my MC’s main RO choice, can be confused about it if it never occurred to him when he was younger–he’s an RO for any player’s MC, all possible variants included. The MC, however, would require a player’s actual input on the issue to determine what they think, or feel about it.

Well, this additional point is a little harsh, but you did request it be that way sometimes.

On that highly specific note; the writing around Adrian is too admiring of Adrian whenever she’s interacting with my MC, given he does not find her features interesting beyond the superficial. Which is ‘who she is’, and not much else. Though even Adrian’s identity doesn’t make my MC interested in what this mind-hijacking invader has to say.

That’s his official opinion about her involvement in anything she’s done previously–which I need to state was my MC’s exact attitude before the new gender rules, persisting from before that older “changes to Adrian’s motivations” update. So be assured Adrian’s gender has very little to do with my MC’s wish to defy, and ignore them; that’s been around for a long while, across many rewrites, and will continue no matter how you receive this admittedly coarse feedback. He wants to be rude to Adrian, and ignore their input about things. There’s just not much role-playing opportunity to act on this pov of Adrian’s unwanted presence.

Have a good last week of December. :wrapped_gift: :ribbon:

Just to counter the “admittedly coarse feedback” you received: my MC is a lesbian, has never been interested in any man, and never will be, so I’m very happy about this change. I would like to thank you in particular for trying to satisfy everyone’s needs equally (although judging by the comments, there is unfortunately much less demand for female Ro’s).

You kinda glossed over the part where I specified that even back when both Solathis, and Adrian were male-locked, my MC wasn’t interested in them. That merely became more true after things got swapped around to “Adrian is only for straight romance” and Solathis (I still have this contextual suspicion it’s a “bad end" route) got re-assigned female. I don’t oppose either choice, since it does diversify the cast more, which I do like, but that won’t make them RO material for me as a reader. Which I was already okay with. :person_shrugging:

My mentioning the text being too focused on fem!Adrian’s features when I can’t actually reject it in the demo is purely for consistency in representing my MC’s own preferences. Your Adrian should be male, and the text should be honing in on how ‘attractive’ he is to your MC. I think we can both agree that is problematic on equal terms.

I know what you’re talking about when it comes to fem!RO popularity, but here on the forum they’re definitely the dominant force. Elsewhere, though, it’s usually the opposite. To the point I’ve many times had to double-take at the negativity authors receive about their girls. Where does it even come from? The boys only get the same backlash treatment here when their base personality is “flirty” no matter the reader’s chosen gender. It’s got justified precedence for existing, but the read on my feedback feels like it assumes too much bad faith.

Not really tbh, once I pump out the newest chapter you’ll understand what’s going on with Solathis.

Well, it’s not that he’s attractive to the MC, they’re attractive overall, it was my way of portraying a higher, more powerful being (You can find the almost same description for Ula, in Rift Walkers cause they’re the same species.) I should add a choice on how the MC feels about their ‘perfect looks’ (Thanks for pointing out that I haven’t! Which is kinda stupid of me )

I don’t see that as harsh tbh, you pointed out a glaring mistake that I had and I really thank you from the bottom of my heart! <3

Also, both Adrian and Solathis weren’t romanceables, just antagonists, I was coerced into making em! (20$ is 20$) But they are much more likeable then they were before (Cause I was fully intending to make them both absolute A-holes but then I realized it wouldn’t make sense)

Every feedback is a feedback, I always appreciate it  And I appreciate you!! I’m glad you’re happy about the change! ^-^
