Yes, it is Cadet Gadget, as HomingPidgeon said. He is only introduced in the second book. The other definitely not straight character is Prince Every, only open for gender neutral characters.

Adding to that: Only if your MC isn’t non-binary.
I think he’s always male. Or at least he’s been in every single one of my playthroughs…
Regarding gay characters, Slammed!, A Study in Steampunk, and Fallen Hero are some of my personal favorites.

It’s Chen, aka Steel. He becomes a RO in the second game which is currently still in development, but you should check out the alpha (best only after reading Rebirth (part 1) cause you won’t quite understand what’s going on otherwise). The ROs in Rebirth are Ortega and Mortum (gender flippable, open for anyone). Chen, Argent, and Herald become additional ROs in the second game.

Does the Craig/Sarah/Casey Rogers, the childhood friend/former bully from UnNatural count? You can only romance them if the both them and the MC are of the same gender.
I thought that was being changed in the recent edits
i’m confused by what you mean. Is Sam going to make Rogers bi/pan instead?
i mentioned this because i remember doing trying to play as an NB with Craig and the hospital scene just ends with him apologizing for his past behavior compared to where i play as a guy and had a chance to reciprocate his feelings.
I thought I read that the author would allow you to choose that character’s gender so I probably assumed the romance was open to everybody, my apologies. I haven’t been keeping up with that thread.

Ah yeah, Jenny from heroes rise, the cis lesbian who’s friends with a transmisogynist. Can’t fault it for accuracy, but making them the mc’s best friends is a weird touch.
Also Ortega from Fallen Hero is canonically bi, regardless of player gender.

Most of the games allow you to make your character gay/lesbian and also allow you to change the gender of the ROs.
