Local prices for other countries?

Well, first of all, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this kind of discussion; if it isn’t, I apologize in advance.

I have a question: would it be possible for Choice of Games to localize the prices of their books for different regions on their website? I’m from Brazil and I only use Steam to buy Choice of Games products, and I would love to give all my money directly to the company without Steam as an intermediary.

However, unfortunately, it’s not viable for me to buy directly from the website because the price ends up being double in my country’s currency (Brazil).

It’s just an honest question of mine about whether something like this would be possible, because I would love to purchase directly from the site without needing to use Steam.

Anyway, thank you.

For what it’s worth, you might like to know that CoG would actually prefer you to purchase their games on Steam, particularly if you’re buying new releases. I don’t know the details behind the scenes, but strong release-week sales on Steam give enough of a boost to a game’s long-term prospects that it’s ultimately worth more than enough to the company to compensate for Steam taking their cut. I actually started buying as many of my games as possible on Steam because it’s the best way to support the company, even though it would be much more convenient for me to purchase them in the omnibus app.

Another way you can give CoG your support while buying on Steam is by writing reviews. Be specific and let prospective players know why you love these games so much.

I didn’t know that. Thank you for the information!

Steam is usually cheaper (which is a bit of a pain as it’s easier to use google play, but is what it is.) Not sure if steam scales dependant on country or just has better conversion rates? The conversion rate still isn’t great for where I am, but it is still better on steam. For example Hunter time of monsters in my currency is currently $22 on steam and $25 on google play. I don’t think I’ve seen a case where steam was more expensive than the app stores for CSGs.

Also, you can import your games purchased on Steam to your CoG account on this website, and once they’re imported, you can play them on your phone without paying anything additional. Just ‘restore purchases’ in the CoG app.
