Probably should have picked, memory serving here… choice 2 I believe and you would have good.
I just cant wait to continue my character just mentally snaping. MC didnt ask to be taken to the school ((I mean you can, but some of us dont choose that.)) They were just a “normal” kid. Y’know? They didnt ask to be geneticly altered to be a keeper and the responsibilities that comes with. They didnt ask to have multiple factions wanting to make a pawn out of them, or to be killed almost every other week. Or to have to potential fate of the WORLD on their shoulders.
If anything, i almost see mentally snapping as the more normal reaction. my main MC is borderlining “I dont want to be here, i dont want any of this.” And “I’m just going to burn it all down.” Its too much stress, honestly its heartbreaking in a way.
Same. At this point, the snap better happen sooner rather than later.
My MC is literally at the point of ‘I just want to be left the fuck alone’/‘where is the nearest stripclub?’
Can anyone tell me the options you need to basically lower the willpower as much as you can to make the pc snap.
I cant seem to do it as the options(that will you betrayed me like her friends betrayed asteria) is always non selectable for me.
Pretty sure those option, much like the ‘nothing to see here’ choice if your parent(s) died, are locked for now. So the whole snapping is just use talking about it, even though it’s yet to happen
It’s literally worst if we point blank refuse magic as human. There’s like no point being here once we figured out control magic which everyone was against but now it’s trending lol. I’m gonna snap whenever I can since the mc just wanted to be normal instead of having keeper drama.
Soul crushing heartbreak aside, I really think MC might be out of their depth here.
End of chapter we’re out here talking mad shit about taking down Nessa, but she’s got decades of experience as a keeper. We’ve got, what, a couple years? Plus she already put us out of commission for a week, barely even trying. Kinda feeling that a veteran keeper for Frostbite is gonna be a game changer.
We done a better job than most keepers considering how much experience they had and they still died or messed up. Don’t sell the mc short. Nessa have the advantage for now but she is not unbeatable. She probably doesn’t know how easily we escaped the dream so we have a chance to do something
Yeah, in a direct confrontation with her, I would still give her the upper hand, and I get the feeling that unlike our previous enemies, she’s not going to underestimate us. And also unlike our previous enemies, she has absolutely nothing to lose.
Well I’m not sure about her not losing anything since a keeper wouldn’t just work with frostbite unless forced or threatened. She’s too smart to be brainwashed like guy they send to spy on us as a student
It’s strongly implied that her family is already dead, and they seem to be all she cares about
And people like Jullian had decades to practice magic and we still buried him.
You got a point though this will be the keeper strongest enemy to date, i still think our keeper got the upper hand we just have far more battlefield experince than most plus the power boost from the sun artifact.
Exactly I said before. There’s probably a way since the game will obviously have a ending beating frostbite. Maybe we could use the sun from earlier to gain an edge if we could use it properly instead of nuking the area
Oh you’re right that we did mop the floor with Julian, but I feel like it’s already been established in-universe that keepers are on a completely different level of danger than any other kind of magic. There’s a reason why they’re practically revered, while Julian is just a nuisance.
What? Are you saying that’s NOT how it’s supposed to be used?
No I’m saying we can probably beat Nessa later after powering up a bit and have a plan despite lots of people saying she’s unbeatable
Okay so I’ve read through a couple times now, and I have some feedback. Warning in advance for the wall of text.
First off, only encountered a couple technical issues, but those were, firstly the title image for chapter 2 is broken. Second, in chapter 7 I got the part about my mom taking care of me while sick, except my parents died last chapter. Then inversely, when I went through again and saved them, I got the dialogue choice “All my goodness died when he took my parents.”
Anyway onto the juicy stuff. So overall really liked what was there, I thought it is a really nice continuation of the story. But there was some stuff I have some notes about, in no particular order.

Being able to detect heartbeats wouldn’t actually be all that accurate way of detecting bluffs. Like someone’s heartrate can raise because their nervous about their bad hand, yes, but they could also be excited due to having a really good hand, or just be nervous about the high ante despite having a good hand, and a good player would be able to keep their cool regardless of their hand, and thus wouldn’t raise their heartrate. Also even if you can know if your opponent is bluffing reliably, that’s only one piece. And even assuming that reading heartbeats was a reliable way to tell if someone was bluffing, you still have to have a good hand or bluff well to win.

I would have liked the option to be opposed to control magic due to like personal aversion due to trauma rather than like just general moral opposition. Related, it’d nice to have the option to try to get out of the screening, besides compelling the people conducting it, whether successful or not. (Apologies in advanced if there is and I just missed it.) Also there are like multiple points where like it mentions either you using compulsion magic, considering using it or someone else casually using it around, which like even trauma aside, if I’ve been picking all the “I think control magic is morally evil” options it seems weird you’d then just casually use it, or just be fine with your friends using it to get past airport security.

The jar of holy oil felt like it came out of nowhere. Like I previously got the impression that holy oil was pretty hard to get your hands on, but then you just like have a jar of it in your bag I guess, no real explanation as to how it got there. Also IDK if this was like intentional misdirection or not, so sorry in advance if it is, but because it’s first mentioned as an “unbreakable jam jar” directly after talking about the homemade snow globes, I thought the jam jar was the snow globe, up until you actually use it.

This one’s kind of a legacy issue from the previous games, so IDK how fixable it is at this point, but basically when it comes to the main character and customization, the game is in the odd situation, where the game is basically nonbinary inclusive, but trans exclusive. The game lets you choose the name/pronouns you want, but then the flashbacks just assume your character was still using the same ones back when they were a toddler. Like obviously something to account for that could be added, but IDK if you can like update already published games, and if not it’d introduce some weirdness. Though if you can, I would definitely recommend doing so.

I’m confused as to what a “stereotypical drakaina” would be cause like a drakaina isn’t really like a thing in pop culture, and the word itself is literally just the feminine form of the Ancient Greek word for dragon or serpent. Would it just be dressing up as a dragon? I realize this one is mostly a nitpick, I’m just confused.

In the dream sequence in chapter 8, the game seems to just like assume the MC and RO are able to have a kid together. I know that both it’s a dream sequence and also a story with magic, so it’s not really like a plot hole or anything per say, but I think taking that into mind, and maybe adding some text for situations where that might be in question, to explain that would be a good idea.
Finally, and I’ll admit this last one’s mostly a joke, but
…for the fact that the worst crime they’ve ever committed is jaywalking.
I’m fairly certain forging a birth certificate is also a crime.
Thalia in a maid outfit when?
Leon, Alty or Cy in one would be far cuter.
