Sure, but even if she is in the hospital we don’t know how critical her condition is. But that was some weeks ago. If she’s out of the hospital she could have taken the diplomatic dinner off our hands at least and spared the mc from having to hear, for the umpteenth time how we are still new to magic, cannot do most of the basic magics and don’t have an inkling of cultural understanding of the magical world. 
Seriously my mc wanted to smack Leon’s grandma then and there. Plus, you know mc cannot have nice things, including clothes and fancy accessories, so they invariably look shit at fancy elite functions.
Like I said even if the mc had to do the tomb-raiding it would have been nice to have had backup for the diplomacy part(s).
Certainly true, though mine blames his uncaring, shitty sperm donor for most of his forced ignorance.
To be fair, this is probably the only time our suit mates and by proxy us, look for trouble, unlike the other endeavors which were a literal both assassination attempts and some kind of persuasive tactics for whatever twisted reason, that sphynx was doing his job, which was protecting that place for intruders, even considering the goal of desecrate that place, which is found a way to stop a world ending organization.
I will admit, three stories in, it’s getting a little bit tiring for the MC to still perpetually be on the back foot and everybody be looking down their noses at them for it. Like, I’m playing an MC who was very much dragged into this world against his will in the first place, this is doing absolutely nothing to endear him to the magical world on the whole.
I’m not expecting him to suddenly be the best mage ever in existence by book three, but we’re in our Junior year at New Magi now, we shouldn’t still be sucking this bad.

If. She may not be. She could be dying or smth for what we know, besides, she may have been raised surrounded by magic unlike MC, but we got a thickest curriculum fighting monsters and doing keeper things.
I understand the clothing part tho. Despite having a strong income as keeper, jeans is an option for a diplomatic reunion 
The dresses are all cute and elegant and stuff, and then there are khakis lol.

The game isn’t really in the complex side to be honest, it kinda start as a hobbie if I recall, is like other often, which is the time gaps between events, everyone had different tastes, but this story should be enjoy for what it is, more often than not, it doesn’t take itself seriously from time to time, with some 4th wall break choices and self-awareness from part of the MC, yet still had an engaging story, even if is kinda simple sometimes, and the best so far is the sub-plots & the RO’s paths.

Honestly I think the MC is pretty on par with the rest of the suite mates, if not stronger than them, at least when it comes to their fighting ability. The MC has taken down some pretty crazy monsters, both on their own and with help from others. The MC is probably one of the capable fighters out of the main cast, and has the potential to probably be the most capable fighter by the end of Book 3. The MC may be ill-informed about the magical world, but they’re far from incompetent imo.
I think perpetually being on the back foot has more to do with the fact that the MC is going up against Frostbite, an organization with what seems to be unlimited resources and manpower. It would make sense for Frostbite to always be one step ahead of the MC, considering the fact that MC has to deal with them and the NMC political figures, who are also a handful.
As for the point about everybody looking down their noses at MC, yeah, I agree that it’s a bit tiring. I feel like where at a point in the story where the other characters should show the MC even a little bit of respect, considering what they’ve managed to accomplish in like 2 years, and their circumstances. It’d make sense if some people (not all of them obviously) finally started seeing the MC as a competent, albeit uninformed, public figure.
Well, yeah, Frostbite too, but I was thinking more “on the back foot” in terms of, “even with our compulsion powers and two years of combined Keeper and school training, we still can barely even do magic at all.” Harry Potter didn’t know diddly squat about the magical world at the start of his story, but he picked up magic way faster than my MC is doing.
Ok. First of all i neder said Sera does’nt love MC. I don’t know were that came from. Secondly, it’s like se says “I love you but, power can change people. So i don’t trust you and maybe the person i love will become evil. So, i know ways to kill you if i have to”. Sorry but this is not a healthy way to love someone. I am really dissapointed of Sera.
Honestly, it’s a logical strategy even if it does seem heartless; it’s only a precaution and the chance of it being used is almost 0 so I don’t really see the big deal
“Either you die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain” and the mc in 2 years already has had options to go into the path of villainy, Sera is nothing but a down to earth person so ofc she’s got no idealistic view of love, irl not even love is forever and in magic shenanigans where pretty much everyone is a potential killer, and the mc with celestial superpowers that makes them even a bigger potential threat, idk you but to me it seems pretty much in accordance to her character, maybe if you are in disappointed in her you shouldn’t be romancing her
To fall in love with someone, it wasn’t “in accordance to her character” but she did. I expect that the characters, to have some sort of development during the time, especially when they are at a young age. Sera showed this development while she admitted her feelings for th MC. And now she says that “Ok i love you but…” imho there is no “but” when you love someone. End of story. It’s my point of view and, i am dissapointed of her because she is my favourite romance route.
Fair enough, but one last thing (and no more so it doesn’t devolve into a circular argument); love is subjective so there’s many different kind of loves, to expect every one of them to fall into your category of love, imo, is not the best thing to do
Try thinking about it this way.
MC has very high power due to being the keeper and very low control due to only learning about magic 2 years before. Add in high stress from school and seemingly daily life and death fighting and you could be a walking celestial magibomb. Seraphina was basically sent by Celosi (sp?) to keep an eye on you so I’m sure these risks were reinforced to her repeatedly. From her perspective this could be a form of mercy killing, like when the one zombie survivor asks the other to kill them if they ever get bit. She loves you enough to keep you from becoming the monster. It might not be the type of love you want, but it is definitely a very real and very true love. Particularly considering her own past trauma and what such an act would do to her.

Moving along from the love discussion here, is this the final book in the series or will there be another one?
If it is the final book ngl I’m gonna miss our lovely friends, a lot of their moments actually made me emotional. And one of my favorite moment with sera in day and night actually made me cry like it made me think “why are u so precious”, the second book is probably my favorite cyoa book right about now.
