Having his daughter as leverage ? I can see a rather evil MC use it to nasty effects. Or, if we aren’t careful enough, have it be used against us by our lovely aunt or uncle.

That or MC would just pay it without any threats so her daughter could be cure and make the bodyguard Genuinely loyal

So the Bodyguard is also a Single-Parent.

Starting to wonder the possiblities of the MC of either gender not wantung to repeat the abuse at the hands of their mom to either potential Step-Kids they will get with the Teacher and Bodyguard RO for theri respective gender.

Is the next update going to be the entire chapter 2 or half or a quarter or something

It would be awesome if we could have the option to play matchmaker between the Bodyguard (if he’s a single parent) and the Teacher if we don’t wanna romance either of them. I want my homeboy to have a loving wife haha (if he doesn’t already have one).

+1 from me.

Waste of time, this is what bodyguards are for

Evidently you can already get in situations where combat skills come handy because your bodyguard isn’t there.

MC should join an underground fighting club after getting their ass kicked. They then realize the weakness of money and the supremacy of Martial Arts. And also rich people have weird hobbies even Zuckerberg the lizard does juijitsu.

You can actually hire a lot of bodyguards with munny.
I don’t know maybe auntie ji muchen might take pity on us and give us experimental drug/herb to boost our bods less steroids and more on metabolism, enhancing the way we take nutrients, make the muscle heal faster, unclog some impurities.
(making us a puppet for her world domination. Lol  sorry got influenced 'cause i keep watching ragnarok online the anime you know the jiangshi?)

I don’t know if it’s because of the other game, but people here are fixated on martial arts, even if it has nothing to do with the focus of the game, what’s the problem with the character not knowing how to fight?

Unless fitness and exercise is something your mc is into. I have enough mc’s in other games who would be. And while it does not seem to be fully applicable here it can sometimes also be expected by the norms of a (fictional) society that most the elites are at least competent at defending themselves.
Lastly depending on how much the author has based the fictional country here on South Korea or other countries that experienced rapid development and only became rich and developed relatively recently male military service is often still expected or even required. Which could be a potential divergence between the male and female mc here should it come up. Yes, given how elite they are male mc could have dodged it, but I think the tiger mom of the prologue would have pushed any son to excel there too and serve his tour as an officer after graduating or something.

True, knowing how defend oneself doesn’t suit this story. We have other things to worry as a magnate warring for the throne.

I think it is established as one of the four possible starting hobbies for the MC. Seems like a reasonable one for a CEO at least from a fitness perspective. Probably wouldn’t do as well in a second career as a pro fighter, but beating up a couple loud mouth drunks…why not?

Same, I used to watch SK drama because of my sister. Often the lead guy is rich with tiger moms who makes them master everything including martial arts.

Would love if you could make the mc customisable

Fr, it can easily be explained with a simple “Mc was way to busy studying, developing different skills and learning more about business to ever focus on learning to fight”.
