To check for pneumonia.

If only it was possible to do those at the same time!

Right?! I swear my brain was trying to do that last night, but I was completely failing at the sleep part. Gratefully, the ideas were still there in the morning.

Today, I had a Random Test error that I spun my wheels trying to figure out for 3 hours.

The solution was staring me in the face for those three hours, and I only figured it out once I called in a much more savvy coder friend to look over my scripting.

In my defense, the error line pointed to the wrong place, but I still feel stupid for taking so long to figure the issue out.

Check achievements and multireplace!

A few days ago, I spent two hours writing a section of code I thought was missing only to realize if I had scrolled down just a liiiiittle bit more I would have seen I had already written it. :smiling_face_with_tear:

The relationship I have with randomtest is contentious. Every time I use it I feel like it asks me to strangle it a little just so it can feel something.

I’ve completed my entry for the game jam. Took me a bit to get it to upload to itch properly. Edit: I figured out how to get the image to display correctly. YAY!

I’ll upload the link to my entry once I’ve had a couple people go through and test. For now, I’m just happy to have it finished and functional. Huzzah!

So I’m curious about something, eyeglass prescriptions are the same the world over, so it should be possible to order a pair of prescription lens from another country and have it shipped to you.

Wonder if it will be cheaper that way.

Shippings would be annoying though, and returns if they don’t fit as I hoped.
And import taxes, if I order from outside of the EU.

How would you even try them on? Every time I get new glasses involves a huge amount of fitting.

I import cheap frames from China  I only wear aviators so it’s easy to get them. They never fit right but the optician has this device where he can shape the frame to fit.

I did buy quite a few, they were almost free  but only one of them fit and it took quite a bit of adjusting to do that  in the end it was still cheaper.

Still doesn’t fit well, I can feel the feet sliding when I move it, and of course it’s a bit fragile so I have to be careful that I don’t drop it or step on it or whatever, but then they’re all fragile unless you have those big plastic frame ones.

Frames, sure. I assume they have some size info. (It’s not like you can make them wider if they’re too small, for example. No optician I know is capable of that. Small adjustments, sure. My current ones needed at least three test runs.) But lenses? The point you look through them is kiiiinda important, especially if you have astigmatism. (That’s why you may not see properly with someone else’s glasses, even if the numbers match.)

(It’s not like prescription glasses are always necessarily expensive, anyway. You could get cheap ones for 30€ in Finland if the cheap lenses are enough, I think.)

Congrats! You worked hard!

That’s how I felt about my footnotes system. TAT

TAT I have been near-sighted since I was 12, and at this point I’m LEGALLY blind without my glasses. I’ve always had to get expensive custom glasses, and so that’s why I’m two years between glasses right now, because america is a capitalist hellscape.

That is a fantastic question I’m gonna want the answer to as well.

the picture’s behind a patreon wall. TAT

That’s a smart idea. I too have a file specifically for story ideas that I plan to return to. XD

The infection would affect the tissues around your lungs and in your lungs, which could present as things like pneumonia-like fluid filling your lungs. Not a doctor either, but I watch a lot of dr-y shows and my mother was a nurse so I have a passing hyperfixation on medical shit.

This is why I’m perfectly okay with the idea of VR Headsets that connect to your brain so you can game while your body sleeps. Sleep sucks.

THIS HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME. UGH. I’m sorry, I know how frustrating it is.

WOO!!! CONGRATS! You worked hard, and I’m proud of you!

Holy shit that is brilliant. I can see how you could easily create a NewGame+ with that.

Oh my god, I fucking hate thissssssss when it happens to me. TAT This is fantastic.

I LAUGHED SO HARD I WOKE MY HUSBAND UP.

I finally decided to cut my hair short, after years of thinking about it.
First cut took off a whole foot of length, and my hair still reached halfway down my back afterwards.

My mom and sister have both needed custom glasses since early childhood, and my boyfriend uses custom contacts, so I’m all too aware of the cost, even here. :smiling_face_with_tear:

The extra, private health insurance I have luckily covers some of the cost, but it’s still going to be a lot, because I’m pretty poor.

looks at my weird bob-with-long-forelock-braids haircut …That is not short, my dear. XD

TAT I can’t afford insurance and I officially make too much for Medicaid (US state-sponsored health care) to cover me and my husband anymore. Soooo yeah. No more glasses for me. XD

That was just the first cut. Much more followed.

It was too scary to cut too much off at once

Yknow what? That’s entirely valid. Sorry if I sounded condescending or anything. XD I have issues with tone-control
