As I write this, I feel vaguely sick to my stomach. Not only have I become acutely aware of my own feelings, but I have become forced to acknowledge the true depth of them. I hope you’re right. I am thinking it will be near the end of the tour, since the showrunners will want to cause strife as long as humanly possible. I assume we’ll have some game left once the tour is over, if nothing else to wrap up everything so we know what’s going on.
I’m not sure they don’t know what happened. I can’t recall if we’re ever shown what the rest of SV knows about Seven’s departure, past the band “throwing Seven out”.
And, to be fair, demoting a lead singer to backup singer is pretty much booting them out of the band, especially when they don’t play another instrument, which Seven didn’t at the time. It’s the office equivalent of moving someone to the storage room for their office–you’re making it clear they don’t really have a place there and don’t matter.
So I’m not really convinced that SV will be bothered by anything that comes out. They pretty much know the story, anyway. I think all that is left out on Seven’s side is their actual reason (“MC wouldn’t leave the band for me!”) for leaving. That and their weird, unhealthy attachment to the MC back then, and even that can be easily written off. I wouldn’t be surprised that, no matter what comes out, SV is going to take Seven’s side and justify their behavior. The only way I can see Pope and Kieran objecting or ceasing their guard dog status of Savina and their feelings is if Seven’s obsession with hating the MC starts hurting the band and their chances at winning. And Avina will likely only take issue if Seven starts voluntarily talking to the MC again at all and the hatred wanes.
Hard to picture this, but I’d love to see it.
I agree with this. The reason I pointed out the contrast between MC’s bandmates and SV with Seven is because it’s so extreme. SV tiptoes around Seven to make sure nothing makes them uncomfortable or upsets them, and Avina chases Seven down if they get even the slightest bit out of sorts. They’re always there, whispering in Seven’s ear, supporting and coddling.
Whereas the MC’s bandmates really don’t give a single damn how the MC feels or their state of mind. The few times they’ve shown concern, it’s been a blip, then they cut and do their own thing. It seems more like they’re asking out of habit, rather than because they care, and the MC’s answer doesn’t really mean anything, because the reaction is the same either way.
In the update, I got more of a feeling that the band is friends with each other, but it’s still Rowan caring about Rowan, Devyn and Iris caring only about each other (though them trying to ‘branch out’ was cute), and MC on their own. The only real support the MC gets is from Orion, really. And August, I’m assuming, if you seek them out. Meanwhile, everyone bends over backwards to make everywhere a puppy hugging safe space for Seven. It’s so much the antithesis of what the MC gets that it makes me laugh. (and I’m not saying the MC should get the same–no one should be coddled the way Seven is–but it’d be nice to get a bit of the care from their supposed “best friends” past the gratuitous, “you okay?” immediately followed by, “Whatever, byeeeee!”)
I suspect Avina will never stop chasing after Seven and being their human squishmallow, but I’d love to see Pope and Kieran have enough of having to walk on eggshells to suit them. Plus, it feels like more Seven and Avina’s band than a cohesive group, since Savina dictate everything and the other two are along for the ride. That said, I don’t expect it to happen, because Amy has said on tumblr how close SV is to each other.

Agree that Seven was mocking the MC with that, but I don’t think he’s trying to make the MC jealous there. If you notice the text, the MC noted that Seven was being genuine. I think Seven is just that obsessed with Avina. As obsessed with worshiping Avina as he is of hating the MC.
If I do the Seven route, it’s going to have to be ex bffs falling in love. I can’t take the ex lover route–it’s to much misery for me.
I really wish there was an option in the game to make them ex bffs but with the MC having been secretly in love with them way before the breakup, afraid to act on it for fear of ruining things or losing Seven altogether (happened anyway, moron, hahaha). It would add another layer to it, especially when the reveal comes.

And for the song notebooks, I am absolutely certain the MC’s notebook will get stolen. I’m wondering if you choose the option that you never show it to anyone, you’ll just be screwed. If you show it to people, then at least someone can vouch for you that the stolen song is yours.
