Infamous if (band wip) chap 3 (457k wrds) released (9/08/2024)

Yeah, it could be a mentor, maybe they have their own Orion?

It’s possible. Elliot and Dakota are both here for a reason, that could be Elliot’s purpose. It would make sense for Seven’s father to potentially have more children.

1.Could be a mentor, but it’s too friendly. He says he loves them, so idk. Imagine saying that to orion. Just imagine.

2.Considering the writer refused to give Dakota last name it could be possible. The thing is they are well connected and able to enter the most fancy parties. Could they do that on their own? Are they some nepotism baby ? Could seven father go from really low to becoming some new york hot shot producer?

Im going to set my theory board on fire /j

I hope so, cause seven already hates the MC. Don’t need to give them more reasons.

I actually really hope this proves to be the case instead of having Avina presented as really being some kind of perfect saint in comparison to our “horrible” MC.

I’d love to see Avina being the thing to make Sev wake up–like, if Avina sees Seven starting to get closer to the MC again (or that Sev is starting to initiate contact on their own, instead of MC chasing them down), and gets kind of freaked out to the point where they pull a Seven on Seven. Displaying over-possessive, overly-controlling behavior, making Seven feel like they’re being smothered. It’d be funny to have Seven recognize that their thing with Avina is unhealthy for both of them and that be the thing to make them realize what they’ve been doing with the MC ever since they left the band.

Same here, especially if they’ll end up together if the MC doesn’t manage to win Seven back.

I had that thought, given the similarity in appearance. Which is funny, since Blake and G share similarity in appearance…

They are wearing a band tshirt. Also voice melodious. They could be?

The irony of Avina being the catalyst in making Seven come back to mc. Priceless.

I think while it wasn’t their mom, the phone call was about their mom. I hope I’m super super wrong but I think she’s possibly sick? (MC’s mom sounding weird when she tells us to call Lucy + Seven saying “you can’t scare me like that” on the phone and how frantic they were about the text before the call  it sounded like this person was keeping them informed about some situation)

You might be right. Hopefully at some point in the storyline, MC can finally talk to her, before it will probably get worse. It will a painful conversation since MC has not reached out to her for three years, and the breakup will be most likely brought up in the discussion. :grimacing:

That’s okay. Lucy is on our side :innocent: ← Totally not me being delusional

Also I can’t find who said this to quote it and answer it but re: Seven wanting us to hate them because it justifies their hate I don’t think that’s the only reason. In other POVs they’re also VERY harsh towards themself. If you are an asshole back when you talk at the party iirc they think something like “It’s okay for them to be mean to me. Neither of us deserves kindness or warmth” which is such a wild thought to have :sob: There’s also how they don’t want to open up fully to Avina because their thoughts are “ugly”. And how they react to some dialogue options in the POV where MC calls their mom. To me they do feel guilty about the way they acted in the break up and they’re aware of their faults deep deep down, they just refuse to acknowledge those feelings openly and repress any thought about it as soon as it surfaces because they can’t deal with it right now. I lost the thread a little bit  so basically I’m saying Seven wants MC to hate them because it’s fair. They should hate them.

Would be soul crushing to have not just your ex hating you, but also your mother figure.

I think deep, deep down Seven knows they are at fault too, but not as much as the MC, in their head that is. A case of “maybe I did you wrong but what you did to me was worse”. I don’t believe Seven is that self-aware to fully realize they also cause a good deal of pain and hurt as well. They’re too caught up in their own head and bubble of denial to see past their own misery and they think that they have it worse than anyone else.

In a sense, they’ve dehumanized the MC, because, again, when someone hurts us deeply and greatly, it’s easier to think they’re a terrible person, a monster that never cared about us than stop and think, even for a moment, about what we might have done for that person to react in that way (I’m talking about this specific scenario). As I said before even if Seven might have acknowledged to be at fault they seem to have justified their actions with some excuse along the lines of “you made me do it”, “I did x because you did y”, etc. In the end, they’re always placing all the blame on you.

Now that they’re forced to interact with the MC and see that the MC is more than the f*cking idea they’ve built up in their head, all those mixed emotions are back in full force. You can see the stark contrast between the phone call pov (the one where the MC calls their parents) and the late-night chat on the bus. The events happen on the same day, a couple of hours apart yet Seven’s behavior is so contrasting it gives you whiplash.

Nah, Lucy has our back, she seems a no-nonsense kind of person and I’m sure has call out Seven several time on their pity party.

Like they cannot decide what to feel. “Spin the wheel on either I will be civil with the MC in the next hour or act petty by implying I’m sleeping with my bandmate just to hurt them/make them jealous”.

Yeah no I agree completely they do think MC did much worse. I guess I’m trying to rationalize the fact that they are so incredibly sure you GOTTA hate them back and you’re lying to yourself if you don’t. And I don’t think it just stems 100% from having to fit with the negative version of us they have in their head. But like I agree with everything you said.

I was joking around Lucy 100% has our back :sob: Also it may be wishful thinking but from what I saw on Tumblr I think we will hear from her in the next update

Idk, but hate is a pretty straightforward emotion and I think it’s easier for Seven to process than anything more nuanced.
