When it comes to ROs, I felt that the game tried to present Orion, August and Seven as the main ROs. They definitely receive a lot more attention compared to the others. I guess it makes sense since Orion and August are always with the band, and Seven is…well, Seven, but with the sheer number of ROs this game has, some of them end up often ignored. I hope the last chapter telling us to open up and explore outside our band allows us to interact with other ROs often.

If we’re talking in-game, I personally got the feeling that the ones with most screentime are seven, G and Orion, probably because yeah they’re more there so to speak. August too, but just a little under G or at least my brain thinks there are more instances in which you get the heart choices but I could be wrong.
Maybe the “sub romance” category also plays into it? To be completely honest with you, I still don’t know what that means and how I guess it’s going to progress, since Amy went ahead and made said sub category, but anyway…

I can’t stand Seb because all interactions with him give stalker vibes, plain and simple. I know he himself is decent and even acknowledges his daughter needs to learn boundaries, but like…my brother in Christ you’re still going along with her. It’s just off-putting.
I would have to agree. I really loved that snippet, although got really interested in Blake only after the latest demo.

G caught my eye I think in chapter two? I get why people don’t vibe with them, but what can I say, I love a pathetic idiot with a hidden side… who needs therapy.
Victoria and Seb are on the same level, in which sadly they do nothing for me. Vic’s lacking scenes atm imo and Seb gives me the creeps + annoying.
O is conflicting because part of me loves the interactions, another is a little zzz because they’re very centered around the band (although chapter 3 was… interesting )
August is bestie forever but otherwise not for me.
Seven is pookie because sadly the povs have shifted my brain, in which I can’t see the in-game stuff without remembering xyz.
E is completely forgettable atm, but I will say that the patreon thingy made me curious to know what’s their deal.
Dakota is Dakota and the thoughts I have about them are not workplace friendly.
Tldr; definitely more than one MC lol.

I’ve two MCs, a more reserved and stoic one (product of the aftermath of the vote) that’s all about the music and a little sh*t that indulge in too much alcohol, hooks up with anything that breaths, and is after fame and fortune (gotta say they’re tons of fun to play with ), but I might make another one for… science.
O and G are my OTL. Ofc I had to pick the most unavailable ones. But what can I say I love their dynamic with my main MC, they’re also sexy and feel like grownups (I know it’s debatable for G but alas).
Dakota: a hidden gem. They have such great chemistry with the MC. After the first demo I was meh about them and after the VD special I thought they were obnoxious but now… third place baby! I might make an MC just for them, but I love mess so my main one is also on their path now.
Blake: another favorite. The banter, the s* tension, their soft side, if they weren’t such a loose cannon they would be up there on the top.
Seven: I tried, I really tried but I don’t get the hype and I’m a bit sad because I love their trope but they just read too childish. Neither I nor my MCs feel attracted to them. I made both my MCs their exes for max drama but I can’t see either going back with them.
August: they have their moments as RO but I prefer them as bff.
LA: I see the potential but I guess the interactions with them are going to be very few so I’m not sure.
Seb and Vic: are doing absolutely nothing for me sorry.
E: forgettable and after ch.3 and that convo about Marino they’re creeping me out.
I haven’t been keeping track in any meaningful way at all but I agree with this based on vibes; these four have just been the most present in the first 2/3 chapters because they are the closest to the MC from the start (G is going out of their way to be in MC’s business and Seven is only here under protest).
We’re only 3 chapters into a projected 20, so I think there’s plenty of time. I feel like we’d have different concerns if, in the first three chapters, so many ROs were getting shoved in our face at once that we couldn’t see them or the plot, lol.
That said, I feel like there are going to be characters that we won’t have as much interaction with (such as the sub ROs, who feel like romanceable secondary characters and naturally won’t be as present as a result) and some main ROs like Sebastian, who just isn’t going to be available one-on-one that much by virtue of him being just some guy and also a dad. And I guess G will be around less for a bit as well, given how chapter 3 ended. Though I would hope that no matter how many individual interactions there are, even the sub RO interactions will have enough meat to them to be satisfying.
Amy certainly has her work cut out for her to balance all these characters!
I thought that scene was really cute I was mildly interested in Sebastian as an option for my MC, but usually I just forgot that he existed - until chapter 3, lol.
I expect there will be many longing looks and much solo pining for a little while, haha. I’m curious how many opportunties the MC will have to try and get them alone (if at all) in the coming chapters.

Definitely making a MC for them:
G - I have the worst time playing this game and not wanting to go for G. I have to make them Gina instead of Griffin to remove the temptation of turning all of my MCs into G-mancers.
Orion - I like the fact that he’s the only adult in the room most of the time. I also think this romance, while still angsty, could easily turn out to be the most satisfying one, least painful one (though probably the slowest-burn, which I typically hate!), and probably give one of the “happiest” endings.
Definitely want to but don’t trust where it’s going
Seven. I have masochistic tendencies at times, so RPing a masochist who puts up with Seven being an asshole isn’t really a deterrent for me. The only thing that is holding me back from committing to playing the MC I made for them is Savina. I can RP Seven’s emotional abuse victim all day long, but RPing someone who will have Avina shoved down her throat the rest of her life? Nope, I can’t RP that.
Dakota - I loved their VD special, loved the new scene, and just love the character so far. If they were a full romance, I’d be all-in, but I’m wary of the “set endings” for sub-romances. I’m probably going to have to wait until the full game is released and read the code to see what their end looks like. If it’s good, I’ll definitely make a MC for them.
Blake - See Dakota. Same applies here, with the added caveat that it will also be dependent on just how horrible they are to the MC going forward.

Seb - Not my type, by far, but I did like their scenes in the new demo. I will have to see how things progress before making up my mind.

LA - I loved what little we saw, and the fact that it will be low-angst and laid back, but I don’t think I’ll waste a MC on a sub-romance with whom we will have very little interaction. I’ll probably play this route with my test MC just to see it once. That way I can see the romance and not waste a perfectly good MC on a lesser content path.
Yeah, with G, in particular, I expect it to be like you said–mostly pining and longing looks for a good long while. I don’t see how there can be many, if any, opportunities with G for several chapters.
And, like you said further up, there are just going to be characters who won’t be available to be with much (sub-romances, in particular, but also Seb, G, and Victoria). I might even add O to that, given how the show wants to keep them away from the MC so there’s no support system. Should be interesting to see how MC gets to see anyone but Seven or Blake on a regular basis moving forward.
Firstly agree with you on all the RO’s points. Totally my thoughts about them all haha.
Secondly I think Amy did the viktor photo scene now after such a G-centric chapter maybe on purpose.
Like it’s been pointed out earlier that some RO’s are falling to the wayside, so this gives her a chance to focus on the “forgotten” RO’s in chapter 4 e.g. Victoria, August, Seb etc…
Maybe, I do feel it is also to set up to the whole epiphany that our MC will have in chapt 5, considering they will be now hounded by everyone in chapter 4 and given the stink eye, although I wouldn’t complain, G and Vic are a mess and if I have to deal with them, it will the the WWOD method; aka 10 foot long pole with a white rubber glove.
Ahaha, for real. I really do like this character (romancing the “rival” is one of my favorite pastimes), but if Blake’s behavior towards the MC gets worse before it gets better, I’m gonna have a hard time - especially with all the “I actually have no problem with you personally” that you get if you’re friendly with them.
