That is so me! ![]()
G-mancers when they hear about the new Blake-Seven alliance of eternal hate
No hate, but I don’t think G is much more mature than Seven XD. Though I like both of them a lot.
Yeah he ain’t but atleast he loves me and doesn’t walk around with his puppy trying to make me jelly. They can both piss off. My MC will become famous and win against Seven. ![]()
It’ll be a behemoth of a story, but I am glad it’s going to be a stand-alone. Seeing the length of each chapter, 20 feel like a lot of chapters though, but we’ll see.
True, but the level of immaturity is different. In my opinion, G’s immaturity is more on a behavioural level; they act the way the act to hide who they really are because, since becoming a child star, they have never been allowed to express their opinion, their desires, etc. and yes, there is also a level of entitlement that can’t be denied. Seven’s immaturity is more emotional mixed with pettiness (which is also a defence mechanism), which makes Seven less digestible than G, for some people that is.
For me, G is one of those characters who’s instant hate on site, in a way that seven, as obnoxious as they are, quite isn’t
I dislike G more when Victoria has to suffer because of their childishness. But as a whole, I find them to be a really interesting character I want to get to know more about! That’s the main reason I’m willing to look past their bullshit lol.
Yeah, G is a “took the industry to the face kid”, and I mostly feel sorry for them EXCEPT when they make Vic pay the price of their shenanigans.
Agree on the interesting part, for sure; They still need one hell of a slap upside the head, though
I hope we get to fight Vic. I wanna tell her she aint good enough for my darling G! ![]()
I wouldn’t quite say hate on site, but I do picture “Lux DuJour” from the Dirk Gently series everytime I think about him. That’s…not flattering.
I get the reference, good comparison
To be fair, in regards to all the G slander lol, Victoria is just as bad.
She blatantly stays in a marriage with someone who clearly has issues with dr*gs/drink etc.
She could’ve left G a long time go yet stays for “valenreign” and the benefits that come from being in a high profile couple.
She declines job offers for herself to mother G and follow them around like a lost puppy…like she needs to learn to stand up to G and get some self worth and make decisions that help herself not others.
I know G isn’t a saint but Victoria isn’t a poor victim. She needs to work on a lot of her issues just as her partner does too.
And them splitting up is probably the best way to go about it as imo the whole thing between them now is just toxic af.
Personally, I see them both kind of as victim of their circumstance. Victim might not be the right term, but they both struggle to help themselves.
G feels a lot of emotions and doesn’t know any coping mechanisms, so they end up drinking and partying.
Victoria is stuck in an unpleasant situation, but doesn’t know any other coping mechanism beside trying harder and keep giving her all.
Hah, now that I think about it, in contrast that means G’s mode of operation is to rebel and Victoria’s is to comply. Ultimately, at the moment they both lack the means to properly identify their issues and finding ways to start solving them.
That makes a lot of sense to me. I can’t quite imagine how they’d turn around in the poly romance.
Yeah, Victoria is as much of a victim as a perpetrator. I tried to be sympathetic with her because she’s in a tough position, but as much as she complains about the missed opportunities to follow G around and how hard it’s to deal with G (which I’m sure it is), she does reap the benefit of being half of Valereign, otherwise, she would have walked away from that relationship and found a better fit.
iirc from a Patreon POV, it also seems that G and V don’t trust each other enough to fully open up about who they really are. They probably care about each other, I’m not sure about the love part, but this is, first and foremost, a marriage of convenience.
I am very interested in finding out how that would work as well.
I don’t think that they are good with and for each other and I would love to play an MC. (No romance) To help them out of their dilemma.
I think they could maybe be friends but they don’t seem to clash well.
But e haven’t seen much of them yet.
Opposites attract and all that mumbo jumbo.
I just wanna bang everyone. Simple chaos. Then again this thread is a mad house and a pain in the rear to actually enter and talk about anything other than rinse-repeat points on certain characters ad nausam.
Tbh this conversation about G is something that hasn’t been brought up before. There hasn’t been any mention of the S-word RO for a little while…
So idk what the point of this comment was other than to cause discord?
I’ve read the thread from the beginning (quietly at first) and don’t see a lot of talk about G/V, victoria pretty much never LOL. If someone wants to talk about other topics related to infamous then bring them up!!! I’m sure everyone here would be happy to engage ![]()
I think it’s understandable that G sees Victoria as an extension of Viktor and his stranglehold on G’s life — their relationship was at least partly arranged, after all. G isn’t even allowed to exert autonomy over their own personal life, so it makes sense that they chafe against Victoria, who is a living reflection of all the impossible industry expectations placed on them, which isn’t fair, IMO, because Victoria is just as much of a victim of that as G is.
And you also have to look at it from Victoria’s point of view. Every time G doesn’t do as expected, people yell at her, as if G isn’t an adult who is responsible for their own actions. I don’t think it’s unreasonable that she’s tired and frustrated that G continuously puts her in stressful, embarrassing situations where she’s constantly berated through no fault of her own. She’s less independently famous and influential, so people feel comfortable treating her in ways they’d never imagine treating G. And when G finally comes along, the faux pas is immediately forgotten, which must suck as the person who was getting chewed out for it not an hour ago.
Victoria doesn’t truly understand how burned out and depressed G is, and how years in the industry have broken them down, and G can’t fathom the way their acting out reflects on Victoria, who has given up substantial opportunities to keep them semi-functional and who inevitably faces the consequences of their rebellious inaction. They’re being pit against each other. They each see the other as the enemy who is making their life harder without stopping to think about all the ways they’re both being used. If they had one (1) honest conversation, they’d clear up a lot of tension, but instead they’ve just resigned themselves to a life of misery and resentment.
