See. that’s one of my problems with the whole Seb path–you want distance, fine. How the hell are you supposed to romance the guy, then? It’s not like he’s going to chase you down after telling you to basically stay away from his daughter. I just don’t see how the romance is even possible after that, unless you ignore his requests and chase him and Maya down, in which case, he’ll likely get his panties in a wad.

Really, this is going to be the same problem with the G, V, and G/V poly–there will need to be some distance between them and MC to try to silence the cheating allegations. And if MC is never around them, how the hell are they supposed to romance them?

I suppose the same could be said for Seven, since he runs away or spits at you any time you get near him, but I’d be happier if he did stay the hell away from my MCs. They don’t need his damned abuse.

Yes!!! Thank you! I am aiming for the same. But we don’t really get interactions with him anyway unless we go out of our way (an being a little creepy, I mean why would an MC go to them after the “stay professional” speech ). I guess you will have to play a more aggressive MC to pursue that one.

After seeing the post about the poly, and then the follow-up about romancing one of them, I see this is going to be as painful as Seven’s route. Just without all the vitriol from the LI.

People who get attached and invested in a project enough to pay for it also tend to be single mindedly attached and invested in a specific character and thus stick to them at every opportunity.

not only did I have an international Conference on Monday und Tuesday an exam (which the subject bores me so much I have problems studying for it . To he fair it’s from the first semester and I am on my last) and tomorrow international day of my university. Which basically means they let the students do the work to tell other students and people of interest about the mandatory time in another country. Which in my case was Indonesia so I got stuck with cooking duty.
Oh yeah, while our kitchen utensils are 90% already at our new place so I had to mix everything in our pots

Yes and no. Look I like Maya as anyone but going into the crowd before a concert is a serious safety issue (even in concert around 150 people so fairly small it is advised to only mingle with the crowd after the performance) .
Also we don’t know how for example SV fans potentially react bad to MC, especially knowing that Seven has some manic fans and he hates our guts unironically right now.

So I would like to but my MC is to professional either way. I hope we get an opportunity to engage after the concert without having to ditch anything important again.

Here’s the thing though, the MC isn’t used to this level of attention and may not realize the danger in what they’re doing. Even if they do they may assume the show’s vetting and security will have taken care of most of the risk prior to any of the bands being brought out. Sure it’s naive, but so was walking Sebastian and Maya to their hotel in a strange city; and an MC who would see no problem with doing that would likely see no problem in going to say hi to their biggest booster in a venue that they assume is safe.

I think his POVs will be interesting again down two to three chapters from now. When Sevens had some character growth and is potentially seriously struggling with the possibility of getting feelings (bff) or re-emerging feelings (ex).

August could be interested. I find them card to get a read on, as an RO.
I suspect there is a real sweetheart underneath the front they created to be “good” for their parents.

Seb, really depends. If we can play a reactive way like now retreating and he reacts to that it could be interesting. We have just seen to little of him.

I really hope we can build a good relationship with Maya though (she can be the head of our official fanclub, so still somewhat a professional relationship because sh is so young but have the possibility to engage with her in a positive way.)

I agree August has the potential to become less shy as well and become a real force to be reckoned with while being a sweetheart cuz he definitely seems to care about the mc much like Orion. And yeah Seb is a wildcard depending on what you do or how you react to his whole speech it can go either way honestly, and yes Maya is such a good if a bit reckless fan but I want my mc to build a professional relationship with her as well ( and like you mentioned she can be positively influenced as well while also being the head of our fanclub)

Interesting. Maybe I am looking at it in a strange way because I have been around small music venues and hung out with Bands and also with fans of out band .
My MC saw no problem walking them to their hotel because it was outside of her job.
She also signed the fans album on the first day because she was so flattered.

But I guess my brain never unlearned the lessons from my music day’s. It was in the alternative scene so lots of different bands and hard music. Sometimes there was bad blood or it was just not a good idea to be around the drinking fans before the stage play was over .
So it’s probably my own fault for interpreting it like this. Coupled with the “be professional” it would probably even discourage my more assertive MCs

I get what you are saying. However, this early in the career of bands, they often take greater risks doing “stupid shit” like greeting their greatest fan in the audience.

My MC also knows this is the type of “fan servicing” that gets them votes and support, especially for newer additions and those just getting to know her band, so she is going to do whatever she can to help herself and her band.

So MC would have done this, even knowing the risks and the “proper and prim” thing to do.

Anecdotally, I have seen performers personally greet people in the audience before performances in venues such as we are in here … but I know everyone’s experiences are different, and with people throwing things as in the recent news, I know such things will become rarer too.

I think I do? I mean, I figure it’ll be a choice, after ‘the talk’, where you can choose to ignore it and keep trying to be around G/V or both, or you can distance yourself from them for the sake of your band. I’d be willing to bet the band comes down on the MC if they learn about this, and they will be pushing the issue.

I second this. I’m on several Patreons, and what Amy gives you for the money is well worth it, and way more than I get on one of the other ones where I pay a lot more for a hell of a lot less (even if that means suffering through endless amounts of Seven, lol ). I would really recommend her Patreon to anyone who is even halfway interested in Infamous.

I wonder if we could start a thread to list Patreons all in one place. And maybe give recs (or not). That way we wouldn’t have to hunt them down in the discussion threads or tumblr. I don’t know if doing that would break some rule, though.

Exactly. That’s how my MCs see it as well. It’s stupid not to do fan service when you’re in a competition that literally depends on fan support. Especially when everything else is against you, at the moment. Mine will sign any album anyone waves at her, stop for pictures, and kiss the ass of any fan halfway interested in the band or her.

Tbh I ignored Avina as a whole she isn’t worth my mc’s time or trouble at this point if she wants Seven she can have the guy I prefer Orion and even Blake or G at this point at least with G you know how he acts and he seems to want you to succeed and Orion is supportive as well, Blake is just fun to flirt with and watch despite his accusations he can at least be civil which is why I chose his bus.

So, I love Seven. And I can definitely see why people wouldn’t vibe with an angsty route. BUT! I don’t think Seven is that bad… I read comments about them being just awful almost every day, and I just don’t see it. Maybe it’s the choices I make, or maybe there are some bad pov scenes on patreon, but Seven hasn’t been outright mean to me. Does he have an attitude? Yes. Insensitive to how I might feel when we’re having a conversation? Sure. But he usually just ignores me.
