I’m having trouble with choice about the character. The error I’m getting is startup line 42: increasing indent not allowed, expected 3 was 4 My code looks like this: *comment Copyright 2010 by Dan Fabulich. *comment *comment Dan Fabulich licenses this file to you under the *comment ChoiceScript…

Yeah I’d check out the discord. There’s a lot going on in that code that needs fixing and streamlining, maybe too much to easily keep doing on the forum which isn’t real time. The thing that jumped out at me apart from the lack of goto’s is that you have a word after *choice which you shouldn’t do. …

I read the beginner guide but I didn’t understand how to use a goto

I have this : “startup line 40: Illegal mixing of spaces and tabs; this line has a tab, but there were spaces on line 26”

 I’m blank now. I’ve just checked line 26 in my text editor and didn’t find any spaces, just tabs…

Which Editor are you using? My recommendation is using CSIDE .

I don’t know I’m just using a “bloc notes”, I don’t know what is the difference.

I have no idea which app that is but my recommendation is using notepad++ or CSIDE, since you are still getting the error.

Yeah, I used notepad++ when rewriting the code and it didn’t threw up any error

I’m downloading notepad++, when it’s will be done, how can I use it directly with the server of the game ?

I try not to recommend it too much (as I’m indisputably biased) but seeing as someone else already did, I do suggest you give CSIDE a go for two reasons: You just write your code and click run, there’s no worrying about servers or connecting it to choicescript etc. It will automatically indent you…

[image] CJW: I do suggest you give CSIDE a go Yeah, it definitely makes things easier whether you’re a newbie or a veteran in ChoiceScript… Or so I have read, since my laptop isn’t compatible with CSIDE I literally cried when I learned that it didn’t have a Windows 7 version
