Hello! It has been a bit, but the game has just been uploaded with fully balanced numbers (and a fix on Lady Wiśniewska’s name)! Sorting everything out took a little longer than expected, but Mary helped wrangle it back into shape.
If anyone has any new issues or seems like they’re still running into tons of failures, let me know! And have a good weekend.
Really glad to get a chance to play this! I was looking forward to it since I saw it on the upcoming games list.
I really enjoy the intrigue focus. Reminds me Eagle’s Heir, one of my favorite CoG’s to date. This is a bit earlier in French history of course!
I got some sort of error in chapter 4 that prevented progression and made me start over. I wish I took a screenshot of it but I refreshed the screen and that just resulted in the game resetting.
edit: Update, I went back to try it again and have the same error. Here it is:
“6_Entre_Chien_et_Loup line 1690: Invalid expression at char 18, expected no more tokens, found: NAMED_OPERATOR [and]”
It’s in Chapter 4, after reporting to Charlotte the whole story about Katharina, having successfully gotten information out of her.
Hello! I really enjoyed this game. All the subterfuge was intruiging, and spying around really made me feel like I was walking on my toes. When I failed a check, the transition was so smooth I didn’t almost didn’t realize it was on me and not a scripted failure.
I did notice quite a few “typos” where a word was missing in the sentence, but was unable to screenshot them. A rough example would be something like “she married” when it should have been “she is married.” I did manage a screenshot of this, though:
@A_I, @Iello, and anyone else who has been having the issue at Chapter 4: the bug should be fixed now! Please let me know if the same problem - or any other error - occurs.
Hey, love the writing and characters so far, but… I uh may have found another different bug in ch4.
bug detail and smol spoilers
When you’re given the choice of how you want to convince justine, (that choice being to forge a letter, use a disguise, or seduce her), when I finish the scene for forging the letter, it pops me over to do the disguise scene immediately after despite not choosing to do so, and should I finish that it sends me to the seduction scene after the disguise
I’m assuming this isn’t intended (as if i want i can just go straight to the seduction scene and not bother with the other two), but if it is feel free to ignore this
If it is a mistake though, I’d guess there’s probably just a few [goto scenewhatever]'s missing in the code at the end of the scenes.
Other than that though the story has been fantastic and i am thoroughly unsure what path i want to take as i continue to read.
Small error I noticed. I chose to forge a letter from the Queen in order to get Justine to help, and while that was successful, after that scene it skipped to as if I had chosen to go to Justine’s room instead.
Would it be at all possible to romance the young male lord who has made himself your enemy at court? I only ask because you do leave an option for a bisexual character in the creation section so I was wondering if we would be able to take advantage of that later on!
I want to start by saying that this was amazing. I truly enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to the finished product. I know there have been some comments expressing disappointment on the genderlock but as a lesbian this story felt really special to me.
I noticed a few (what I assume to be) errors while playing. I’ll include them below:
Ah yes, close to the french revolution ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ hopefully this story helps change those events, if it goes into them of course. It’s still awhile away tho probably not
I’ve seen this title on the upcoming HC’s page, I haven’t played this yet so pardon my ignorance, what would be the heat level of this book as the site would categorize it?
