I, the Unbroken One [ITFO2] [Chapter Two Released!] [November 21st, 2025]

She’s not in the first book.

Well, that’s an interesting decision on the part of the writer to give everyone else so much more playtime. Thanks for the answer!

This really isn’t a romance-focused story, and even if there were a wlw RO, you’d probably still be disappointed if you came in expecting full-on romance. Even the existing ROs get very limited screen time compared to the mc’s depression.

Ok, thanks for the info. I’m still glad that in this sequel we’re getting an option, if everyone else is.I guess if there was a f/f option, but not m/m, then no one would complain, right?

I still fully expect that female RO to be endlessly amused at a gay MCs total bewilderment.

Which is easier since romance itself isnt the focus.

It’ll make the softer moments sweeter.

People did complain about it when there wasn’t a m/m option earlier in book 1s development

Our late bird would take out the keyboard keys and throw them. Very irritating.

That’s exactly what I thought. “Not romance focused”, but only if you already got the romance option you wanted. But, then it looks like we’re getting it too, so it’s okay after all.

I really hope the F/F option gets more screentime than the others too. She kinda requires it because the way the MC is written in these books, a slow-burn romance is the only kind that would make any sense.

And this new character is already joining so late that she has her work cut out for her with our walking mess of a Marshal lol.

I believe that after Belos died, he got isekai’d to Whiskey Four

I’d say it’s more likely he’s been reincarnated as Bacon’s bird. That’s why he’s trying to ruin MC’s happiness now.

Who did Belos end up as? Not Uly (if Whiskey is an incarnation of the Marshal), I hope.

This time he’s the most important character.

The grenade

He’s dying again in this life too

Im fine with it. Reasoning. I bought first one. Wasn’t too into the lack thereof. Then whilst W-4 was in the works. Ulyssa showed me a LOT on giving Bacon room that’s it gonna turn out quite well being only in second ITFO.

If missed out on Ulyssa. Check out Whiskey Four. You’ll see. I got confidence in Bacon anyway. I will do more routes in first book, wasnt going to before W-4.

Speaking of Whiskey-Four, what division was our MC actually in? I think halfway through it switched from like 9th Division to 136th Division, I might have misread though.

Great work on the latest public update.
Here are some notes I put together while reading it.
(Spoilers for anyone who hasn’t read chapter 2.)

  • In the scene ‘The Jutrea Valley, evening’
I did not notice the scene was a perspective change at first, and only realized when the narrative mentioned Milon and Lada staying awake through the night.

  • Loved the choice to joke to the guard at Elya’s tent that you’re Rade.

  • In the following dialogue with Elya, the marshal uses the term ‘Trench foot’. Hearing it in a medieval setting was a bit jarring.

  • Easily the most compelling payoff in the story so far is Veridian killing himself.
The consequences for not taking him along are laid out clearly in chapter 1, and it’s great that it’s immediately shown in the story.

My only concern is the potential workload on the writing front, for character interactions that a significant number of players (those that either killed him in the first book, or did not take him along for the campaign) would not see. The same goes for Mira, but it’s obviously not an issue with the story itself.

[General feedback]

  • Some of the slang and expressions used by characters feel specifically modern American. (Ex: God forbid a X does… / That’s my secret, I’m always X)
I couldn’t tell if this was intentional, so just a heads up.

  • Perspective changes occur a bit frequently during chapter 2, to the point where it was confusing during the first ambush. The labels help, but it might be worth holding a single narrative beat longer.

  • ‘Bratoljub’ might be difficult for a primarily English-speaking audience.

That’s about it. I hope the feedback is useful.
