I’m not sure. That said, I’ve never used CSIDE since I prefer regular notepad. Try downloading traditional choicescript at the GitHub link, copying your files into it, then following the guide above.
Strange… I’ve never seen that before. If this problem persists even after using traditional choicescript to compile and running it from your itch page… that might be a question for Dan.

I had this issue last time I tried to use CSIDE to compile a game for me to use on itch. Just use the compiler in the choicescript package and I suspect the problem will go away.

Yep no problems. Sounds like the issue I was having here which I never managed to fix via CSIDE (this happened with another game as well but I can’t find the thread). So now I just use the package compiler which works without issues (compiled a game just a few weeks ago for itch without problems) so hopefully that’s all it is. Ok, I got it to work now. I just deleted and redownloaded choice script and that finished the issue.
also is that CSIDE or choice script, if so then both of them were breaking for me.

That looks like the choicescript package off the main site? You want this compile file here from that:
CSIDE is an choicescript specific wordprocessor program.

ok then, my choicescript was broken and for some reason it wasn’t working. I had to delete it and reinstall it for it to work.
edit: it is also the package from the github, I must have meddled with it by accident.

Either that, or you had an older version. They update it from time to time as the browser updates mess things up. Glad it’s working now with an easy fix though anyway!
