At a certain point I’m considering to do a collab with another author for a special project, but I’d like to know how would a collab work. Also I’d love it if someone can enlighten me on the different books that were a result of a collab.
I already have an idea of how it would go myself. But I’d like to know the details like work load, splitting profits, copyright, opposing visions and such.

Wow that’s amazing. Thanks for taking the time to put together a list. I really appreciate it
. I see. So a successful collab IS possible.
I have this idea for a certain type of game but I think it’s too big for me alone to write it. That’s why I considered to get help. Too many ideas, too many POV’s.
I’d like to ask least get one or two writers on board with it. How would I go about finding interested candidates?

make a forum post like this and see if anyone would be interested, I wish you luck.

Thanks for the advice but that won’t be necessary. If anyone was interested and saw this they’d have said something already. I think I’ll just take my time. The turtle will catch up to the hare eventually.
what are you planning to write anyways. if I was a better writer, I would volunteer myself but I have a lot of issues to work on lol.

Uh uh ahhuhh. Sorry, I can’t say it yet. Thanks for the interest btw and don’t be afraid to start writing for yourself. Just keep writing material and practicing. You’ll iron those issues out gradually.

fair enough. I have started to write and I am pretty close to going public with my WIP. (excluding the rewrite for errors and feedback from beta testers that I need to find lol.)

Oh wow that’s so cool! I wish you the best with that mate. I really do. Depending on what genre it is I might be able to help with feedback.
Also even if you get negative feedback please don’t give up or feel discouraged. Just keep working on your craft and keep making improvements. Instead of dismissing the feedback entirely, try to find some truth in it. Try and see how you can apply it to your book to make it better. At least that’s how I learned

it’s supposed to be mainly pseudo detective fiction with supernatural elements, with romance as the secondary narrative since I am going for a closet knit group that has to solve the mystery. Like scooby doo but with actual vampires, wait that has a good ring to it.

That sound interesting
. So the MC would be tackling vampires. Do they have powers or is it more grounded?

part of the premise is that the player character is either attacked by a werewolf or vampire, and they get transformed into that race and have to deal with the consequences of that action and everything else going forward.
MC will be fighting vampires and other stuff, but the main focus of the book is investigating the creature that is killing people in the town.

Wow that’s actually interesting. It reminds of teen wolf just hearing the premise. It sounds like something I would read indeed.

teen wolf is a big inspiration, the main character is part of the sports team and it has a bearing on the plot.

Also I missed this, I will always accept feedback as long as it’s constructive and helps me become a better writer. if it’s hate just for the sake of hate, then the block button is very much free.

I don’t know you personally, but from the way you talk I assume you have the right mindset. Your book sounds very interesting and the premise and theme of your story has a lot of potential to be very popular here. I like the idea of playing as a vampire or a werewolf and I think we need more of those games. It’s just the execution that can determine if it makes it or not.
When you’re ready/comfortable to show the WIP to the public I’d be glad to take a read and see what feedback I can give you.

thank you, I just hope that I can bring the story to live the way I envisioned it and it’s sits right with the community.
it should go public this month, march the latest. Just really depends on how fast I can finish writing and editing it.

Ah, I feel you. Just hang in there and don’t give up. I’m planning to release mines on March as well. I wish us both luck.
