@Sucof are you able to tell at what stage you roughly are in terms of completing the game ?
Well, agree to disagree. Dylan called the (past) MC a âloserâ when my MC tried to get to know him better. Iâve no sympathy whatsoever for him (and pretty much all other targets).
Speak your truth, brother. Iâm not opposed to the idea of forgiveness after Iâve paid them back tenfold, but theyâre all pretty goddamn pathetic. Some more than others, and Dylan most of all. Weâll learn what happened and all that, but it doesnât change the fact that he sold us up the river for whatever dirt Isaac had on him. Olivia taking his side over ours is just the icing on the white dogshit they made us eat.
I said âsomeâ not âallâ. Dylan not falling in that category isnât really a reason to disagree, imo. But of course, if you believe that literally none of them have any redeeming qualities whatsoever, thatâs fine.
(also, Dylan was shown as someone whoâd be trying to put himself over MC and the MC in the role of his follower from the moment you met him, all those years ago. If this attitude of his comes to you as surprise⌠well)
(also also, i think youâre focusing too much on the âloserâ thing and to the point of ignoring the sentiment/context of the scene. While Dylan might consider himself the better crop, heâs pretty clearly torn and guilty about what happened to the MC)
I think itâs because, that yes, from an outside perspective theyâre all redeemable to different degrees, but majority if not most of them donât show much remorse or regret over it, with ungodly levels of delusion and lack of self awareness for the things that they do even in the present
Thereâs a case to be made for Dylan, but he also only shows any signs when actually confronted with the fact that the âcreepâ might be back for revenge by the prank we play on him
Otherwise itâs life as usual for all of them, having forgotten the peopleâs life they ruin, trying to twist their actions as deserved for the victims instead, or something theyâre not culpable for
Itâs the classic angle of âThe axe forgets, but the victim remembersâ
From a role play perspective it makes sense to give everyone a second chance, depending on where you draw the line
For some that line is more stretched than others, for others it is pretty short
Thatâs⌠not really true, imo. Heâs pretty shaken up when he talks about his âold loser friendâ if you go in the maze at Michaelâs party with him. This is long before any sort of a hint of the Creep happens, so this is 100% Dylan getting a self-induced guilt trip. Something thatâs definitely not a behavior of someone who all but forget and never thinks any of it.
I choose to view it more as his mental guard slipping down because of alcohol/drugs i.e. a common trope for authors to show the âreal characterâ, but fair enough. You can certainly downplay it and retain the (overly, imo) unfavorable view of the guy.
If i remember correctly he was smoking green, so again
Nott exactly a self induced guilt trip, more of a result of his⌠choice of vices
More accurately, He was shaken because he was high
Yeah, you can look at it like that, but i personally find the trope to be too shallow for a confession or reveal of any sort
Sort of just states, that the character canât confront the facts sober, which is the main point of remorse
This is the part where I bring up that the author confirmed on tumblr that if The Incident resulted in the MC being seriously injured, crippled, or even killed from suicide, literally none of the targets would actually give a shit
Yes that includes your childhood friends
bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
Uhm, would you happen to have a link to that confirmation? Because the authorâs tumblr linked in the OP seems to have total of three posts and none of them say such a thingâŚ?
Angela is an angel
Hereâs the post that the author made:
Not even Haley? I donât know she seems pretty scary and I wouldnât be surprised if her reason for the incident was because she was angry that mc had a crush on Cecily or something similar. Idk she just doesnât seem like the type that enjoys sadistic bullying her character feels far more complex then all the others.
Yes I wanna find out answers with Olivia and Dylan but Haley is another matter entirely, kinda similiar to Vallen from Golden Rose.
Dang the Author is doing a phenomenal job with this game ![]()

Haley is like Cecily 2.0, but only half the time, so she creeps me out
And she gives me way too many red flags, iâm less prone to chase red flags than most people, so thatâs probably my main reasoning for not choosing any of the main cast as RO
I like chasing Haley bcz her character seems more mysterious, def alot more curious about her then the main cast.
Everyone else is just an open book at this point.
Thank you for the link; the OP has different tumblr plugged in for some reason, not the one for the game. So i didnât even know about this one. :v
edit: although, that post specifically mentions âTo tell you the truth, I think the only ones who would act a lot different would be Dylan and Olivia. And Dylan more than Olivia.â So the claim that ânone of the targets would give a shit, including your old friendsâ, it seems to be very much not the case, as the friends would allegedly give at least some level of shit.
I donât understand what you mean by this. What âtoo littleâ? The post from the author explicitly states that your friend behavior would be affected by such thing a lot. Not little.
Exactly lol
I think in the context of actually hurting, or pushing someone into self harm, or deathly territories, too little is actually too little
You have to be having some screws loose to let that slide
Thats reality, in a car crash your friends are more likely to take videos and pictures rather then help you. Its the world we live in now
You alright, bruv? That sounded a little too sad XD
The comment did say, that at the end, there wouldnât be not a lot of change in their horrible behaviour
Which to me sounded like, theyâd feel bad at once, then move on to same behaviour, as they did in the current story
But you can take that as you like, i donât have a good perception of the main cast to see them being introspective
I believe you misunderstand the comment. The part about no change in behavior was for the characters other than MCâs old friends who were named as ones whose behavior would change by a lot. The tl;dr of it is something like:
- your friends: behavior changed by a lot
- Isaac, possibly getting even worse
- the rest of them, no real change
