That’s understandable, though, i still would find that a little too late in the context of serious implications of hurting someone to the point of self harm and all that
Technically, what happened to MC should already be in that context, because there’s no way they think that the prank had no psychological impact on MC, or they might be in serious problematic conditions due to it
Still, we don’t know everything yet, so better to just wait and watch
On god, I was willing to see if Olivia was blackmailed or something, but then she told Dylan none of it was his fault, AND she had apparently said that to him before? Gurl bye
Fixed! The old URL for the HSR Tumblr was the same one I’m now using for my personal blog, whoops. Can’t believe nobody mentioned this until now.
Yeah, no, that’s not quite what I meant, haha. I try to keep my answers in a way that doesn’t completely spoil the plot, since going into more detail than I did could give away some of the characters’ motivations and traumas. But yeah, Dylan would 100% “give a shit” if the MC had been affected even more severely. Dylan is already badly affected by what happened as it is. Olivia would also likely do a complete 180 on her current perspective on the event if the MC had taken their own life, which sure, might make her seem a bit fickle, but that’s her character. I can also confirm that all of them would be affected in some way by something like that happening, but it would be more of an internal struggle rather than something that changes how they act publicly, the bullying included.
Anyway, sorry for the misunderstanding. I really don’t like spoiling my own stuff, but that take does the characters a bit of an injustice, haha.
It’s also a good idea so you don’t accidentally write yourself into a corner, or over promise on something that doesn’t pan out later.
She’s my current favorite as well. At times she seems to really hate us, such as asking her for help if running for Dance Monarch. There is also the balcony scene if you are a member of the art club.
Yet at other times she does seem sincere toward us as well. Or at least our bullshit detector doesn’t go off if she says something (this assumes the player has a thing about reading lies). A good example is at the dance if the player tries to discourage Lydia from doing drugs, but isn’t exactly subtle. Haley actually rose up in my estimation when she said “They don’t realize you were trying to do good.”
Haley does have some obvious issues…which was a nice detail to find out if going with Isaac to the dance.
However, Haley doesn’t seem to be actively going out of her way to make other students’ lives a living hell. She certianly has the means to do so, and I guess she might be able to get her brother to do it. I mean, that was Isaac’s one redeeming quality is that he actually is protective of his sister (such as if you joke about asking her out instead of him).
At the moment I think attacking Isaac somehow via his sister is the only way to hurt him emotionally. Physically, breaking all his joints sounsd like a good start.
That is a good thought. After all, Isaac is definitely up front about his cruelty and malice. For that matter, he might also be playing a mind game with the PC…or both at the same. After all, he can have his cake and eat it too.
Pretty sure the bullshit detector isn’t completely infallible; in addition to Haley, Vivian also appears capable of lying well enough it goes under MC’s radar.
You ask him why he agreed to go with you to Homecoming and he says he had a hunch you’d be fun and that you made an impression on his sister, or as he puts it “figured he should find out for himself what’s got Haley’s panties in a twist”. If you then call him an overprotective brother he responds with:
“Protective?” He puts a hand to his chest in mock offense. “I’m just ensuring my dear sister’s potential suitors meet a certain… standard of chaos. It’s a public service, really.”
That response is also why I wondered if part of his “protectiveness” is just giving MC a heads up about Haley, but that’s all he says.
ya know all that talk about what if mc killed themself makes me wonder if we can use that angle during our revenge. like make them think we died and the current us is someone out to avenge them. isaac would get off on that and haley/cecily/michael wouldnt care but it would be devastatingly effective against dylan and okivia i bet
also isaac and haleys dark side remind me of vaas and citra from far cry 3 (i can totally see isaac rambling about the definition of insanity while murdering folks). what if its a twist like that where isaac is the way he is partially because of haley in the first place? i agree with that other comment about dissecting them for study lol
My idea is to spike their food with contaminants during an important event, to get them food poisoning so they’ll struggle to stand straight throughout the event, while also not being able to leave
Maybe place bets with Angela and Marcus about who will be the first to crap their pants
Lately I’ve been seeing more and more comments from people reading High School Revenge who don’t really want to romance anyone in the story. Which, fair enough, most of them are pretty terrible people, and I haven’t really had the chance to develop them all properly yet. But I’m genuinely curious what the actual percentage is, just so I can get a better idea of how much I should be focusing on romance. I’ve been wanting to add a proper date mechanic following homecoming, but I want to know how much effort to put into it if the majority of people have zero interest in romancing these fuck-ups.
So, um, yeah.
Are you actually interested in romancing any of the ROs in High School Revenge?
i actually like to romance my former best friend cuz I’m soft to them but to the rest, let them burn. I’m in for revenge even if it means romancing them so as long as it is achieved
