Loved what’s there of the game so far! I really liked the concept of “holding on to your revenge” vs “embracing the joy found past (or on the road to) it”. Aiming for Cecily long term while fooling around with Haley is where it was at for me, while destroying Connor and Dylan where possible.
I will say my one gripe, is how when you get some chapter 4 events, and in fact if you do get them at all, seems to be randomized. Sometimes you need, say, the group doing two truths and one lie to level up your relationship with Cecily, but get the Dylan outfit one instead, which makes you reload the save and try for that “perfect playthrough”, which is something I’ve seen gacha games do a lot these days, make the rng give players replayability. I would love if the game moved away from these, and gave you the same “basic” events on the same days on each playthrough. (To be clear, I know there’s some events that only trigger at certain friendship thresholds, or at certain club proficiency thresholds, I’m not taking about those.)
As for what I’d like to see out of this game, I do hope we can be selective in our revenge, and not needing to ruin everyone’s lives or none at all. I hope we can totally wreck A and B while forgiving and being a good supportive friend to C and D, I love getting to pick and choose like that.
Yes, they are triggered in random order. However, while normally i really dislike such mechanic, i think in this particular case it deserves a pass – mostly because every player is likely to have their own idea of what order of events should be for their “perfect playthrough”, and that may even depend on what characters/goals they are focusing on in that particular playthrough. (you mention yourself “needing” event for relationship points with Cecily, but some people may not want it and seek points with someone else instead) So, they can get that with reload-scumming if it’s what they want, while those who don’t care can simply let the game provide them the random order.
e.g., in my playthrough i prefer the event order to be [music band merch], [lie detector game]. [dylan’s fashion show], [dude confessing to Cecily] as they make the most coherent narrative for the story i’m shaping. But i’m pretty sure this particular order wouldn’t work for everyone and making them fixed in any way would upset more people, than please them.
Incidentally, i’ve been giving it some thought, and i think that my minor complaint with Chapter 4 is that, while it provides plenty of fun for the revenge-focused people, it doesn’t really have anything in stock that’d be specific for those who are interested in “finding the answers”. There’s no actions MC could be taking towards this goal, and while you can discover one of Connor’s and Michael’s secrets, they have nothing to do with finding out more about the Tragedy, and are just as much (if not more) suited for enacting some sort of revenge on these guys, than finding out anything that would matter to MC who isn’t out to get them.
Actually, I replayed it for the third time and I would agree, it seems the order of the events doesn’t matter nearly as much as I thought, so I can live with it being randomized as it is now.
Mainly was going for a “want revenge but don’t want to go overboard” MC. I just don’t know who to outright target and who to make peace with, cause everyone’s got interesting backstories that I can’t resist being curious about, lol.
Hi, (sorry if my English is weird, it’s not my first language).
First, I wanted to say that I love this story. I love the fact that we have all this choices (in romance, in revenge, in personality… ).
I’m really excited for the rest and I will make sure to buy it if one day it goes out !
The chapter 4 is really cool and I love to replay it to see the différents secrets. I have a question though, can we only discover one secret of one person in this chapter ?
For the revenge, I hope we can later befriend them to finally take betray them just like they did to us !
Here are my stats : also, I wanted to show two moments where I’ve seen errors (the first one, the servant is gendered she/her at a moment but I’ve decided to put they/them (at the moment where they say that money can make them change their mind) and the second one Connor tell me his secret and it says that I recorded it but I’ve choose not to)
The creep reveal at the end felt kind of abrupt, though, in my case. I didn’t do the grand reveal, and all but one of my subtle plans came way before the dance. Haley said she dipped when “things went crazy”, which felt unwarranted because they really didn’t.
Hello, I’d just like to drop by and say I love ur work. I’m probably going replay this a couple more times. I hope its not presumptuous to ask about any updates on a new chapter.
While waiting I plan on getting my friends around me hooked as well.
On a sidenote are all the male characters romanceable with a MaleMC? It would be nice if that was the case, but I don’t want to get my hopes up. And I only say romanceable to have the revenge on all of them taste sweeter.
Also To romance Vivian/Micheal do we get to break them apart? Cause that would be optimal. I get to crush two lonely targets, break their mind and soul with noone to lean on… I think I’m being influenced by the MC….
I don’t know if these stats will still be helpful but…

I was too scared to ask anyone to Hoco. I tried to do the run and appeal to the peasentry, but at some point I decided a sacrifice of morals was necessary to be closer to my targets. I feel bad but sometimes it seems like they’re asking to be bullied. I also absolutely love our housekeeper and my mother! I can’t wait to deliver a brutal punishment to our father, I’ll make him regret what he has done, and make a name for myself doing it. I truly can’t wait! Also I think Isaac is a little too creepy/freaky for me, but I might do a run centered around him. I wanted to do more for HOCO but I wasn’t impressed by most of their reactions. I need them on their knees begging for forgiveness. I hope this was a good amount of feedback, as this first run was mostly a feel around the edges. Hehe, thankyou for writing this and giving me an enjoyable evening with many more to come in the future.
Dylan has some hangups about getting involved with another guy, and the exact nature of this seems to be one of his secrets. Connor in his personal event claims to his friend that “he’s not gay” and if you ask him to be your homecoming date he says he’s only into girls, but it’s kind of open question at this point if he’s only maintaining appearances, because he’s quite receptive to MC’s flirting otherwise. Michael doesn’t seem to mind male MC hitting on him. and Isaac flirts with male MC openly, so it’s probably not going to be a problem with them.
Probably? Michael at least, if you ask him out, tells the MC that he isn’t going to cheat on Vivian no matter what and that it’s basically the only reason he turns down your request. That said, it does earn you romance point with him. So the revenge could actually very well be to advance things to the point where you do make him cheat, and then expose it. Guess we’ll see.
Yes, but that’s not surprising, since it’s very likely not the first time Dylan is tripping over their role in the events.
Olivia suddenly places a hand on Dylan's shoulder. He's on the verge of hyperventilating now.
"Calm down, Dylan. I've told you before. You did nothing wrong. It's not your fault."
"What do you mean?! How can you still say that? How could it [i]not[/i] be our fault?"
So Olivia has told Dylan previously that what he/they did wasn’t their fault. Whether she believes it or is just telling him that so he stops kicking himself over it is unknown at this point. We still don’t know what exactly happened back then.
Well, a suggestion here. Maybe we can have a reference or suggestion to the date going wrong with Connor? I remember standing up and going away and the next day, in the band rehearsal, everything was good, not even a comment about it. Just thought it was cool if maybe he apologized again and looked guilty or something else.
What’s the thing with her? Like, wasn’t part of the art club and asked her to be my date, all cute and cool until she just takes out a cigarette and asks me why I was in the city, already, possibly, knowing the answer?? Maybe she’s as bad as her brother and just fake it
Edit: Well, replayed it, went to the art club and interacted with her more, yes she seems a bit strange, but maybe… Oblivious? She seems like she has two personalities, maybe she has dissociative Identity disorder? Like she changes unintentionally into this rebel persona.
Potentially a big spoiler so read only if you don't mind
Haley seems to have some sort of double personality thing going, like you guessed. The game keeps track of separate set of opinions for that “version” of her under the hood, and this Haley Two is much more cynical about life and people and doesn’t bother to act nice. Most of “nice” options which “official” Haley likes actually tank Haley Two’s opinion of MC, hence i’ve mentioned earlier it’d be fun to see how much people ruined their standing with her while making the main Haley like them.

A new run where I focused on Isaac and found out more. [Edit]
I forget to dd this, but if you chose androgynous Wren their pronouns switch to ‘she’ at one point of the story. I think its when you finish the grandiose plan and they tell you they’re tired and you respond to them.
[Edit 2]
It would be nice if ur targets remembered some of the things we’ve done infront/with them. Like nothing seems to change except Dylan’s favorability when we beat up the college student infront of him. Or like someone else pointed out about Connor’s fake date.
Also does anyone know why there are two different ways Connor kisses you during the Kissing booth? Usually I get the other one but I just got the ‘Connor leans in and gives you a quick, friendly kiss. Soft and over in seconds, no lingering, just enough for the crowd to react.’ one.
[Edit 3]
When you chose not to do the grandiose plan but ur doing Isaac’s route, Isaac comes back from being interrogated by the police anyway.
Wowwwww, thanks for the answer. Guess my detective skills are on point, lol. But a question, how do you think romance gonna develop with her, since she has this double persona? One Haley could love you and the other hate you for doing the same thing, also, maybe the bad Haley threw punch at you in the tragedy, but does the good Haley knows it? The bad one seems pretty aware of everything and your true intentions, but does the good one also knows it? All in all, gonna wait anxiously to see the development of Haley, she seems like a incredible character and surely is one of my favorites, if not my favorite.
My guess is, it’s probably going to be unconventional in at least some way(s).
Pretty big spoiler again, maybe even bigger
On the surface of it, Haley is very responsive to what you’d call a traditional romance and Haley Two doesn’t seem to really mind it (although she is more responsive to MC taking bolder actions) The catch is though, that acting romantic towards Haley increases a hidden variable named haley_obsession. And how that exactly is going to play out… your guess is as good as mine. But considering that Haley is also apparently a stalker, well, let’s just say there are certain character tropes which tap into that combinations of traits.
