Aw thanks. Marvel is one of my fav fandoms too so it’s nice to have a fellow fan, and there’s going to be lots of Marvel characters appearing here, and whilst ambitious I do love CYOAs so I wanna have a crack at letting you pick decisions for one of the most significant comic events in the last decade, so Civil War is a good choice. I had hoped to have it all done by next year when the new Spidey film is out, but I have elected to forego any sort of time scale for this thing. It’ll be done when it’s done.

Lol, well as long as that feeling stays whilst I’m writing the long thing, I’ll know I’m doing the right thing. Peter’s definitely one of my fav heroes too (and MJ is his girl. Sorry Gwen and Felicia, but it’s no contest as far as I’m concerned…) But I’ll have to see how the whole thing turns out.
(And if that weren’t crazy enough I also have the idea of using NaNoWriMo to do ANOTHER complete CYOA for Doctor Who with a ‘Pick Your Own Doctor’ mechanic and Weeping Angels and everything. Lord I am a mad man.)

OK, then. But Felicia is always the winner, like Bruce and Selina. But, you know, whatevs.
Well in my opinion when it comes to Felicia, she’s more in love with Spider-Man than Peter, the ideal rather than the person under the mask. I still like her as a character though, and as you can see you can definitely have her join your side (where she’ll be making some awkward tension with MJ, I suspect).

I’ll definitely be having her on my side. Black Cat is just my favorite female Marvel character, which is honestly the only reason I said that, ha. Your right, but after awhile, I feel MJ is overused, a little. I think hearing Toby Maguire scream “MARY JANE” over and over for three movies of varying quality has dekindled any interest for her. I don’t know. After Spider-Island, I thought it was really time to move on and explore another previous love for abit. I guess they just now got it after reading All New, however.

LOL! Sorry, it’s just elderly wheat cakes Aunt May for you, good sir, though she does have an interesting mechanic at this time in knowing that Peter is Spider-Man due to previous events. Also she and Jarvis - the elderly butler of Tony Stark, not the high tech computer or 40’s ally of Peggy Carter - are in something of a relationship, though I don’t think that’s likely to come into play much here.

I haven’t read much of ANADM yet, nothing’s especially engaged me since Secret Wars ended, which was awesome by the way. And I like all three actors who have played Spidey though I’m interested to see how Holland does.

Time for some live action Sin Six, I believe.
As I mentioned elsewhere I just wanted to say I haven’t given up on this, though the writing has stalled due to numerous factors and a style change. I’m likely to write this more as a Telltale style game now with dialogue options, since I think it suits the interaction with other characters. Other things to mention include…
- The game will be split into six ‘episodes’, utilising the material as I had previously into slots.
- The Daily Bugle will now be a part of the game, designed to bring Peter Parker in as much as a character than Spider-Man. J Jonah Jameson, Robbie Robertson, Betty Brant and Ben Urich (along with Sally Floyd of the rival Frontline blog) will appear. This is inspired by Telltale’s Batman with its use of Batman and Bruce Wayne.
- MJ and Aunt May are still major characters and the most important supporting cast.
- Each side has a core spoke person of sorts - Captain America for Anti Reg, Iron Man for Pro Reg and Doctor Strange for Neutral.
- I had planned to have a selection of first missions for each side, but now these will be part of Episodes 2 and 3 respectively. The Anti Reg and Pro Missions parallel each others whilst neutral missions are unique.
- Episode 2 also has an different opening and initial mission depending on your final choice in Episode 1.
- You get to pick a person to join your mission team, depending on which 2 characters you spoke to. Others are effectively absent to avoid extra complication.
No dateline on Episode 1, it’ll basically be done when it’s done. Though I might stick a sample up here to see how people think the style is.
