I’ve tried a couple of the paths and so far I love the demo. It’s obvious this game is gonna be a big one, and well worth the wait.

We have always said that we would open more romance options in the sequels. Players will have the opportunity to get to know Elysian better and even flirt, so we’ll see where it goes…

Not sure if your around author but I wanted to say I am so excited to play the sequel and was wondering if you could give me an idea about what romancing El will be like and if it’s in the extended demo could you let me know I played a version of the game but don’t know if it was the extended version or not. Thanks

Hi! I am around, on a semi-consistent basis, haha. There are certainly some small hints and opportunities in the extended demo to start establishing a closer relationship with Elysian, though it really kicks off in the remaining chapters. I don’t want to give away too much, but let’s just say that things get intense and, in a reversal of roles, the angel is going to need the MC’s support. The player gets to decide how they feel about that and where to go from there.
If you played a version from this March onward, then it was probably the extended demo, which stops about a third of the way through chapter three. If you played it a long time ago and it was only part of chapter one (you never left the cave), that was the old rough draft demo. Hope that answers your questions! Thanks for your interest!

Hi all. Been a minute. Just dropping in. 2020 has been…rough. Like I’m sure it’s been for many people. I’d already talked about how I had family members who contracted corona and one of them continues to suffer long term symptoms that I’m still quite worried about. That last post I made just above feels like ten years ago. It was literally the day I ended up dropping everything to move out of state for my grandmother (non-covid related). Thankfully, I still have partial employment that has remote flexibility, but I absolutely did not touch the sequel or prioritize anything that wasn’t me positioning myself to basically be a part-time caregiver for her indefinitely while I was there. I figured I had time to settle in and get back to it when I had our new routine figured out. Unfortunately, a whole other medical diagnosis came out of left field only six weeks later and we had to say goodbye. Thankfully, the hospital allowed me and others in my family to be by her side for comfort and we were able to have a socially distanced but in person funeral, which may sound like a funny thing to grateful for, but knowing how many other people around the world have not even been able to have that is heartbreaking. The grief has been like wrestling a bear. I also ended up moving back as other complicated circumstances left me without another place to stay. So, yeah, I neglected writing and my other artwork for awhile. I’ve been forcing myself to get back into the swing of things, especially since the holidays are going to be pretty isolated. It feels better, but it’s been inconsistent.
So, I’m back to putting the final edits into the game. It is written, just have some coding and other things to add and polish. Nice to have a distraction/eye on a goal again. But if anyone had wondered why I’d pretty much gone radio silent except for a bit of lurking here or there, I just wanted to be transparent. Hope to be back on track to some kind of normalcy in all kinds of ways soon, including picking up where I left off on getting this sequel done and submitted.
I really, really hope everyone has been staying healthy, safe, and sane as can be. oh man that’s really sad to hear. so sorry about your loss. i lost my own grandma awhile back in the early stages, so I kinda know how it feels. hope you and your family can get through this too and that your other family member recovers fully.
anyway about the game, take as long as you need. don’t force yourself to do anything yet if you don’t want to. these things come first. take care of yourself.

Understand completely where your coming from. My Aunt died back in the early stages and we couldn’t even have a funeral. We were only allowed to drive up to the building an individually give condolences to the family. Only poll bearers were allowed to go to the site of the burial even. It was rough on my family. So thankful to hear your doing better though. Always take care of yourself first, body and mind. We would gladly wait as long as needed to know your not running ragged over it

Just wanna chime in and say I’m here and have been here since this demo first came out, and I’m still super excited for it! Sorry to hear that you’ve been having a rough time, but we understand and I’m glad you’re still able to find the strength to write. Anyway, I’ve been here this long, so I say take as much time as you need to care for yourself first of all. Both my love for SYP and my excitement for HHWT continues to endure!
