I woke up just now to the discovery that I had been issued a refund on Google Play, with no effort on my part whatsoever. So I can confirm they’re already at work to do right by us.

Out of curiosity, how did you find the text, in specific, was AI generated? I understand the images, since a trained eye can spot it quite easily, but I don’t know of any AI text detection software.
Is there one? That would be great news.

Author was most certainly ESL. Glad to see CoG taking action against AI though. While I’m ok with AI for messing around for personal stuff, it shouldn’t be anywhere near commercial works.

I’ve heard most of them are very prone to false positives, I remember putting something I handwrote into one and getting an above 90% chance of being AI generated

Look, when they said they were correcting the problem, they meant they were CORRECTING it.
Joking aside, this was a major misstep from this author that has damaged this community and company, but this is still a person. Hopefully they learn from this and stop trying to take shortcuts to success. Probably they’ll do that learning somewhere else, though. We as people can forgive, but after this snafu I suspect Hosted Games itself is going to take more of a ‘you’re dead to me’ approach.

For art, AI detection is more reliable. Words are harder. I remembered reading how an AI detector thought the constitution was partly AI written.
