@GenericGem I’m afraid there’s been a huge misunderstanding on your part.
Mordred has, at the time of Book One, not been conceived yet. He will not be conceived until Book Three as @Sammysam has repeatedly stated. This would mean Arthur is not lying about being a virgin on your wedding night.
As far as we know, Mordred will appear as a child in the game, and your Guen will be aware of who his parents are, and will more than likely know the circumstances of his conception, which means that she will know that this isn’t a long-standing torrid affair between Arthur and Morgan, but more than likely a traumatic rape of them both.
Furthermore, one would think that a Guen who seeks to find common ground with Arthur would know that this isn’t something he would do willingly or that he has been doing since before you were married—that is simply your Guen jumping to conclusions without any evidence.
That said, as of right now, we do not know the precise circumstances surrounding Mordred’s conception, and my earlier comments are, effectively, speculation, same as yours, but comments and wording from @Jeantown, along with the character’s personalities, relationship, and values, has me questioning whether it is truly consensual. As such, I would suggest against judging the characters too harshly, at least until we have a better picture.
Speculation is, of course, encouraged, but please do not write as though it is canon or a sure thing because it can cause confusion just like this.
I hope I didn’t come off too harsh, but you seem to not have been paying attention to the content of @Sammysam @ElvenQueen or @ArthurianKnight’s posts, and I didn’t want to see a continued back and forth overtake the game thread, especially over a misunderstanding.
