Is the demo I played only half the game? If so, how many words are in the demo and full version?

I don’t know which version you played, but the last one posted here includes the entire game. The final version (coming out on Wednesday) has some additional scenes and choices, but that’s pretty much it story-wise.
I haven’t checked the exact wordcount after copyediting, but it should be around 250-300k words.

@Nerull Congratulations. It sure was a fun journey watching this thing evolve into what it is now. I do have a question just out of curiosity. Assume I somehow find my way into the Edgeworth/Brooks mansion and steal the artefact of worldly connection. Would it kill the ghost, or would I be able to relocated somehow, like a Wi-Fi signal or something?

The artifact contains the essence of the ghost. If not destroyed, the ghost continues to exist. It’s possible to relocate the ghost elsewhere, too. There’s even an epilogue where you haunt Lily in New York or William in California, if they’re still living by the end of the game.

The game is in review on Google Play; it should be available everywhere soon. It is currently available through the Hosted Games app on Google Play, on Steam, and on our website.
