So the expansion is automatically downloaded when you load the game? I don’t see the traditional add the expansion type menu like say in zombie Exodus safe haven when you buy more chapters.

You only see a menu like that when the expansion is an optional purchase. When it’s a free update, yes, it just happens automatically (or if you got the app through an app store like Google Play, you might need to check there for updates).

This sounds like a great update! A free expansion with deeper friendships, romances and more mysteries is already appealing, and adjusting the difficulty to encourage exploration sounds like a nice improvement too.
The 30% sale is a nice bonus for anyone who has not played it yet. The magical school setting sounds especially fun for players who enjoy discovering secrets and making choices that shape the story. Definitely seems like a good time to revisit the House of the Golden Mask!

Just pushed a patch that fixes a number of bugs reported in the free update, and which also adds a new post-game professorship.
