I know that and thats why she is also my favourite character, Irene will always be “evil”. But the context of the story has changed a little and their connection to the mc, they will still have that theme of domination and submission in their character however.

Last thing I will say on this forum tonight, do not trust my words. Well besides Irene, I love Irene to much to go back on her.
But I have killed two ROs and feed their remains to other ROs, the gender ratio for the new false ancestry is 4 Females and 3 Males. You can probably guess who died and who didn’t. Thats all for tonight.

Quick Intermission right now, But you guys rather be seniors or juniors?
There are some slightly changes between the two choices and I will describe them as follows.
Junior: Skye is a year older than you, Ashford is still at the school during the events of the story, You still go to prom with everyone. Two year time skip into the second book.
Senior: Skye is the same age as you, Ashford comes back to the town from college, you still go to prom and a one year time skip.

That sounds like a really intriguing premise! I like the mix of personal stakes and a ticking clock it gives the story urgency. The choice between reclaiming your humanity or embracing the monster side could make for some great branching paths and replay value.

Important Announcements
This is more of a rant, some ideas, change of plans, future plans and a special announcement that you guys will see later probably. So let’s get started.
Firstly, I would like to start with me, I have anyways been a fan of IFs and Choice games since I was a kid and choice of dragons was one of my first, or rather the first. Anyways, but I also always wanted to be a writer and I had a lot of ideas but never committed to any of them. Eventually something happened and I decided to write an IF as a hobby and a way to force myself to write, and well here we are.
So a lot of my shortcomings are from inexperience, not being a good writer and just being a dogshit. Another part is that I am a very retrospective writer, and I come up with better and good ideas after the fact. For example Irene, wasn’t going to be an Ro or even in the IF at the start till a couple rewrites.
Anyways, that being said, I decided to make a lot of changes to the story and how it is going to go for better or for worse, either way it’s my story and I want to see it through to the end. So let’s get into those changes and my thoughts on them.
Firstly, I am planning on making Irene, Jamie, Jessica and Skye, all childhood friends of the player, and it will be a good team for them during the story. This is because I feel like a connection and storyline between the Ros and side characters would help the story come together and create some interesting dynamics.
Secondly, Maria and Yuki will no longer be ROs, Maria is mostly due to her lacking popularity and Yuki is because I feel like her RO spot could be used for something else, and less extreme. Some of Maria’s elements have been fused into Jamie’s character and Arcs, Yuki is just gone completely. Their replacements are Ashford (the fan favourite) and Charlotte, who some of you may not remember.
Thirdly, The story will take place during the player’s junior year, so the story can be more compact and concise, as well as giving other storylines more impact and consequences. That being said, one of the concerns that I do seen coming from that (and tied to why it lost the vote) is the more adult parts of the story. And I think it comes down to culture differences, as in my country. You basically become an adult at 16 and you are basically done with school and have other stuff working for you. So to avoid this adult problem, the player and all the other characters will be 18 (you will be 18 during your junior year, the world’s common sense is different anyways).
Fourthly, I will be introducing more story elements that will be immediately present during the demo and others that will take build up. Which includes introducing two secondary villains besides the big bad. I am unsure on how important I want to make the detective parts of the story, since I am shifting to a more romance and character driven story now. (I was written the story as an detective action before, but I realized it just became a romance lol.)
Fifthly, I wanted to make a patron and premium version because I love money, but well I am to much of a bum and a fraud to stay consistent with it. So I am going to shift away from the premium version, everything will be in the base game and patron will be more for people who want to support me and early access. (I will be doing monthly questions, I will take a (specific) number of questions from the patron, discord, forums, reddit and tumblr.
Sixthly, I am going to start a new forum if that is allowed, when I drop the new demo and do a second round of promotion and hype for the rewrite. I don’t feel like this forum represents the new version of False ancestry.
Seventhly, I am going to write a second, Mecha Action IF. I don’t know If I will stick to my original plan of writing it along side FA, after or before. Who knows. I am taking a break rn.
Eighthly, I am a fraud that can’t write consistently, sometimes I write like 5k words in a day and sometimes I don’t write at all. So I am going to prewrite act 2 before I post act 1, for the patron money and to save myself a headache.
Lastly, I am currently sleep deprived and half of this could be seen as a bad decision when I wake up. So pray I don’t get smite from this forum by then.
now for the poll, because for some reason. Yall don’t like to speak here, I don’t know if it is because FA is so short that you don’t have anything to say, it doesn’t capture your attention enough to write or you don’t care or maybe I am a fraud.

Oh yeah, I am open to suggestions currently in this prewritten time. Demo will be out like the end of next month if I don’t get writer’s block again, Act 1 is half way done (not including the beta tester feedback and rewrite) and act 2 just needs a rewrite.

Irene is the same overall, but different. The best way to put it, it’s competitive hating if you are her rival, if you romance her then it’s something that was going to happen eventually in her eyes.
Her personality is still the same, but again. she is way more possessive of the player and the others in the childhood friend group.

Blood types matter if you plan to romance the vampire RO, each blood type taste slightly different and they have their own preferences.

My last planned reply in this thread before I relaunch everything, I recently started college and so I have to lock in with my focus. So I am going to back to my normal writing schedule, you can expect an update next month because I like to post on the 1st of the month. The main reason for the delay is because I am a bum and secondly because I wrote a new act 1, so the act 1 & 2 that you read will become act 2 and half of act 3.
I might launch a patreon because I need money to support my clash royale addiction, but that’s it for now.
edit: each act is written to be 20k words minimum, and the max is like 40k?(for now at least), and so the next update might just be 20k words. Maul me if you must, but the new act 1 is more so introducing you to the status quo of a certain group, go ragnarok.
